Transmigrated Enhancement Specialists - Chapter 10
The world that Jiang Tian previously lived condemned crimes such as murders, that was one of the reasons why the Martial Path on that world stagnated. Life and Death battles were necessary to temper one’s mind and body. Without such tribulations, further improvements on the Martial Path was impossible.
Jiang Tian created the Ghost Emperor Scripture because it suited society and his fighting style. His attitude of moving with certainty and his way of fighting that involved seamless slaughter and elusive movement techniques gave him the title of the Ghost Emperor.
There was a popular saying back in his previous world.
Once the War Emperor arrives, no cities or villages will be safe.
Once the Dragon Emperor arrives, everything will be razed to the ground.
Once the Ghost Emperor arrives, everyone will unknowingly die.
Arriving without a trace and leaving like an elusive ghost. It was the Ghost Emperor, Jiang Tian’s trademark.
Sitting cross-legged on the ground, Jiang Tian chanted the first page of his Scripture.
“Naumaku sanmanda, bazara dan kan!”
By the end of his chant, a mysterious force manifested in his torso before forming a vortex that attracted a strange black mist that looked incorporeal yet tangible. Inside the black mist were numerous whispers of hatred and regrets.
Jiang Tian knitted his eyebrows and his mortal body couldn’t help but tremble upon the entrance of this black mist. A hot searing pain scoured through his body, but Jiang Tian who created the Scripture knew everything about it and he was prepared.
The lingering regrets of the spirits around him transformed into a phantom that attacked his sea of memories. Jiang Tian responded and reinforced his soul, effectively keeping them away.
As the creator of the Ghost Emperor Scripture, Jiang Tian knew that this first attack wasn’t the last as innumerable ghastly cries manifested, forming a chorus which attacked the reinforced barrier that surrounded Jiang Tian’s soul.
“Guah!”
A mouthful of blood exploded from his mouth, wiping his lips with a wry smile on his face, Jiang Tian never expected that he would suffer injuries from the Cultivation Method that he created.
His previous world didn’t believe in the existence of cultivators. However, just like how people at that place didn’t believe in ghosts, just because you haven’t seen them didn’t mean that they didn’t exist. Powerhouses like cultivators inhabited the dark and cultivated silently, all for the sake of achieving immortality.
Jiang Tian an average bodyguard at that time acquired a lucky encounter with the Ghost Progenitor and obtained his legacy. In the end, Jiang Tian fused the Ghost Progenitor’s cultivation method with his own path and formed a new, self-made method named as the Ghost Emperor Scripture.
“Kalma!”
Jiang Tian grunted, and a strand of his soul snuck out of the reinforcement before crashing down on the black mist, forcefully suppressing it as Jiang Tian sent another strand which covered it in a thin barrier of milky-white light.
A fierce struggle occurred between the two forces and Jiang Tian spat another mouthful of blood. As a mortal with untempered physique, losing two mouthfuls of blood made him feel dizzy and fatigued.
His concentration wavered and the black mist took notice of this opening to launch a counter-attack. Jiang Tian knitted his eyebrows and bit the tip of his tongue regaining a moment of clarity before sending another strand of his soul towards the black mist, sending it flying back into his encirclement.
Jiang Tian intensified his attack and corroded the black mist until it looked as small as a grain of rice. After corroding the black mist to its limits. Jiang Tian finally enveloped it with his soul and absorbed it through his body.
An excruciating pain battered his physique, but Jiang Tian didn’t even groan nor bat an eyelid. Such superficial pain cannot even compare to the pain that he experienced back in his previous life.
When the black mist completed a full cycle of circulation inside his body, it disappeared and fused with his sea of memories.
Sighing in relief, Jiang Tian’s eyes snapped open.
The world before him looked clearer than before. His eyesight that degraded due to his physique, improved and he could even see a line of ants walking on the wall before him.
Of course, his current eyesight couldn’t compare to what he had when he was at his peak. Back then, Jiang Tian’s eyes could even see through the void and personally look at celestial bodies.
Jiang Tian stood up and his muscles that went into hibernation amidst his meditation emanated cracking sounds. His muscles felt lively and he felt like he could wrestle a tiger to death. Such sensation of power made him smile as Jiang Tian thought in his mind.
“I successfully cultivated the first stage of the Ghost Emperor Scripture, the Infant Stage.” He opened his palm and pointed it at the wall, with a will on his end, a jet-black energy that looked as thin as a sheet of paper covered his palm.
The jet-black energy was a corrosive energy that could dissolve everything. It was invasive and destructive enough that it could be considered as poisonous. Jiang Tian slightly smiled and closed his palm, dissipating the energy.
With his success in cultivating the first stage of his Ghost Emperor Scripture, Jiang Tian could finally try and absorb the Spiritual Energy of Heaven and Earth then convert it into the energy that the Ghost Emperor Scripture requires for cultivation.
Without converting it, Jiang Tian wouldn’t be able to increase his cultivation since he didn’t possess a dantian.
There were numerous benefits that Jiang Tian acquired for cultivating without a dantian. First, cultivators wouldn’t be able to inspect his strength so bluffing his way out would be easier. Second, the energy that he used for cultivation was different from the other cultivators meaning Jiang Tian was virtually undetectable.
Jiang Tian called the energy, ‘Ghost Energy’ and it required vast amounts of negative energies to condense.
If Jiang Tian failed to convert the Spiritual Energy of Heaven and Earth into Ghost Energy, that would mean that Jiang Tian would either have to annihilate numerous human villages or travel to a place stricken with war so he could increase his cultivation.
Shaking his head, Jiang Tian ceased his thoughts and walked out of the room, ever since he arrived at the Xia Clan, he never managed to take a clear look at the Xia Clan’s state and how it worked. Since he desired to stay here in an extended period of time. Research was vital and necessary.
Jiang Tian stretched his body and walked towards the exit of his residence that Xia Guanyu bestowed upon him due to his meritorious deeds. But before he could open the door, an indignant voice full of hatred and anger echoed outside.
“Bastard, how dare you steal the residence that I painstakingly built for several years, come out here and face your grandpa!”
