Transmigrated Enhancement Specialists - Chapter 35
Under the help of the Ghost Emperor Scripture, recovery didn’t took long for Jiang Tian. His body continuously crackled as his bones rearranged themselves and his tendons reconnected. Supplemented with miraculous pills and pastes. His recovery went without a hitch and in a span of a single day. Jiang Tian opened his eyes.
An unfamiliar ceiling appeared before his eyes and Jiang Tian pushed his upper body. Weakness washed over him along with a wry smile that decorated his lips. Though it was the “Patriarch” that attacked him first. He may have went too far with his retaliation. After all, she was still a woman and shaming her like that was unacceptable.
“Damn it, my emotions took over me…”
Jiang Tian had confidence that he could suppress his emotions whenever he wished. But faced with an opportunity to showcase a skill that he painstakingly refined with love dolls for several decades, Jiang Tian wasn’t able to resist and unleashed everything that he had.
Now,
He could only hope that the “Patriarch” wouldn’t be so harsh with her punishment.
The door creaked open and Xia Guanyu’s countenance appeared with an astonished expression on his face. Though he used strong medicinal pills and pastes that even made his heart bleed in sorrow upon usage. Jiang Tian’s recovery should still take a day.
But contrary to his expectations, Jiang Tian recovered in half a day and looked like he just went into a nap.
“You can sit down? You suffered so many severe injuries yet you recovered in half a day. Really makes one wonder about what’s going on inside that body of yours…” Xia Guanyu lightly smiled and carried over a tray of Chicken Congee.
Jiang Tian’s nose twitched when the aroma of the Congee reached his nostrils. It evoked a familiar sensation within his mind as he lifted his head and said.
“My body is just used to getting injured, Senior.” He said in a superficial excuse and Xia Guanyu smiled but didn’t probe any further. Anyone had their own secrets and trump cards. It was distasteful to ask them about those.
“I heard everything from my daughter. It seems like you desperately chased after her for the sake of a thousand Spirit Stones…” Xia Guanyu said and Jiang Tian lifted a bitter smile. The current him required resources and materials more than anything.
“Why didn’t you just borrow those from me? You could’ve just asked me for Spirit Stones and I would’ve gave you what you needed. After all, the blueprint of that Three-Layered Armor that you designed helped us so much.” Xia Guanyu nodded his head and revealed an appreciative smile.
“Ever since we started making those armors, we suffered significantly less casualties from those bastards from the Silent Monastery. In other words, you saved the lives of your fellow disciples. That alone is worthy of an enormous reward.”
Jiang Tian’s expression brightened, “Does that mean that Senior will give me anything that I ask?” He wore a hopeful expression and stared at Xia Guanyu.
The latter awkwardly scratched his head and sweat formed on his forehead. Opening his mouth, he wanted to speak but realized that no words would come out of his mouth. Eventually regaining his composure, he said with an apologetic tone at Jiang Tian.
“Indeed, that should be the case but the Patriarch said that the Xia Clan wouldn’t support you ever again as punishment unless you helped her with something.”
Jiang Tian’s eyebrows creased, how shamless! It was that woman that attacked me first without confirming my identity! Suppressing his anger, Jiang Tian knew when to compromise so he asked with a disappointed voice.
“What do you mean won’t support me? I contributed something substantial to the Clan but the Clan is just going to abandon me after a single mistake?”
Xia Guanyu couldn’t help but feel gloom and Xia Bingyue who craned her neck near the entrance felt indignant when she heard his disappointed tone.
That’s right! Even though she hated Jiang Tian’s shamelessness, he still deserved a reward for saving the lives of so many disciples, yet the Patriarch disregarded all of this and forcefully suppressed his growth.
Xia Bingyue hung her head low, her emotions unknown.
Xia Guanyu didn’t voice out their remaining discussion and talked with Jiang Tian via voice transmission. After their short meeting. He left Jiang Tian with a wry smile on his face before he walked into his own room.
Jiang Tian knitted his eyebrows and weighed the pros and cons regarding Xia Guanyu’s proposal. Sighing in his heart, he bitterly laughed and thought that the consequences of his actions finally bore fruit. Revealing his techniques in front of an expert had its repercussions, and of it was the chances of being discovered.
Fortunately, the Patriarch didn’t really care about his techniques and instead asked him to assist on her cultivation. Taking the tray from the table, Jiang Tian ate with an indifferent expression on his face.
“Ermmm…”
Xia Bingyue’s embarrassed figure appeared on the door. Her body looked fidgety, apparently from embarrassment as Jiang Tian lifted his head and said, “Miss Bingyue? What are you doing there? Come here, inside.”
Xia Bingyue bit her lower lip and went inside, sitting on a chair, she suppressed her emotions and said with a trembling voice. “I heard from Father and the Patriarch that you desperately chased after me for the sake of a thousand Spirit Stones…”
“Suffering so many injuries just like that for the sake of money. Is it really worth it?” She said in a low voice that contained numerous emotions. Jiang Tian stopped his eating and stared at her with a pensive expression.
He remembered the days where he struggled and fought with others all for the sake of a blade of grass necessary for his cultivation. His life as a vagrant cultivator was bloody and sacrificing a limb or two wasn’t strange.
Hearing someone condemn his actions of taking risks for the sake of his cultivation resources felt laughable to him. However, when he saw her worried expression and the tears that formed near her eyelids. Jiang Tian didn’t know what to do, he just sat there and stared at her like a statue.
A moment of silence went past and Jiang Tian finally spoke.
“You don’t get it at all, Miss Bingyue.”
His voice sounded cold and indifferent, void of the zealous tone that he had earlier when fighting against the Patriarch. Lifting his head, a strange melancholic light flashed through his eyes. His mind reminded of the days that he spent fighting against others for the sake of resources and wealth.
“What do you mean I don’t get it…” Xia BIngyue staggered in fear when she saw the seemingly endless abyss within Jiang Tian’s eyes. Not only that, she could feel the seething emotions within his heart just from observing his eyes.
This merely served to further increase her confusion. Wasn’t Jiang Tian just a young man? Why does he feel like he experienced the vast vissicitudes of life? Shaking her head, she calmed herself and regained her composure.
“Fighting with one’s life for the sake of something is normal. May it be wealth, women, resources, status and prestige. Everyone fights with their lives on the line for the sake of achieving their goals.” Jiang Tian mumbled.
His words struck Xia Bingyue’s heart and she was unable to reply, frozen stiff like a statue.
“Now tell me, is risking myself for the sake of achieving my goals, bad?” He continued and an incorporeal pressure that stemmed from Jiang Tian’s heart of an Emperor descended unto Xia Bingyue.
Room temperature went down and Xia BIngyue felt a chilling cold creeping to her heart.
‘Ah!’ Snapping from his trance, Jiang Tian calmed himself and the Imperial aura that appeared, disappeared as mysteriously as it arrived. Xia Bingyue blinked and realized that nothing had truly happened.
As if the look within Jiang Tian’s eyes was an illusion that came from her mind.
“W-w-what just happened?” Xia Bingyue murmured, glancing at the smiling Jiang Tian. She remembered her objective and handed over a bag full of Spirit Stones towards him.
“Hmmm? Why are you giving this to me?” Jiang Tian asked, Xia Bingyue frantically ran away for the sake of these Spirit Stones yet she’s casually giving it to me? That doesn’t make sense. He thought.
“Don’t misunderstand, it’s just that I heard from father that your invention saved the lives of so many disciples. But since you offended the Patriarch, your rewards were denied so I just thought that I should give you a gift…” Xia Bingyue’s cheeks flushed as she explained.
Jiang Tian’s Charisma stats made him a fatal temptation to women. None under the heavens could suppress his compelling attractiveness so Xia Bingyue didn’t dare to stare into his eyes lest she gets sucked in.
“Of course, I’m not giving that to you without asking for compensation! Just consider that as a loan and return the original amount to me after the Patriarch forgives you!” Xia Bingyue turned around and left in a hurry.
She moved so fast that Jiang Tian didn’t even have the time to express his thanks. Scratching his head, he thanked Xia Bingyue and prepared for the task that the Patriarch bestowed unto him.
Night descended and activity within the Xia Clan reduced to its minimum. Jiang Tian awakened from his sleep and walked towards the Grand Elder’s Residence.
He carried Flexible Ropes with him and walked leisurely towards a certain room where he would meet with a certain person. Closing the sliding door, Jiang Tian’s figure disappeared.
Unbeknownst to him, a shadowy figure filled with curiosity trailed him from behind as she made sure that she wouldn’t trigger any of the formations around the residence.
Seeing Jiang Tian enter a room, she mumbled.
“Isn’t that the place where the Patriarch is staying? Why is Jiang Tian going there?”
She cautiously closed in and placed her ears on the thin walls of the room.
“Is this what you like you slut! You want to be hit like this?!”
“Ahh!”
Two voices, one domineering and one submissive emerged from the room and struck Xia Bingyue’s mind like a thunderbolt from the nine heavens.
“So this is where you like it the most?! Fucking slut!”
“Ahhh! Please…No…more…”
Xia Bingyue almost spat a mouthful of spit when she heard the voices within the room. Ragged breathing along with amorous pain-filled moans constantly emerged from the room like water from a broken dam.
Trembling, Xia Bingyue looked pale as she mechanically moved away and returned to her residence.
That night,
She wasn’t able to sleep.
