Transmigrated Enhancement Specialists - Chapter 7
[Enhanced item has been destroyed!]
A breeze swept past inside Jiang Tian’s robes as his underwear dissipated into nothingness. The lethal strike prevention effect that he acquired as the system’s reward for his first successful enhancement destroys the enhanced item after usage.
Jiang Tian’s sudden appearance perplexed everyone in the battlefield including the disciples from the Xia Clan and especially the three bald-headed youths from the Silent Monastery.
They knew more than anyone about how strong their condensed attack was, and to block it required greater force than what they used in the attack.
Tang Zemin, the leader of the three youths narrowed his eyes and observed Jiang Tian. His astonishment transformed into confusion when he realized that he couldn’t see any foundation of cultivation within Jiang Tian’s body nor any trace of Spiritual Energy.
“A mortal?”
His two brothers mumbled at the side while those from the Xia Clan also thought the same. The young man didn’t emanate any trace of Spiritual Energy and his navel looked empty without any foundation.
By definition, Jiang Tian was definitely a mortal.
However, this realization only served to further increase their terror and fear towards the former. Someone that can easily block their combined attack while not giving off any trace of Spiritual Energy meant that his cultivation wasn’t something that they couldn’t see through with their current boundary.
Within the next instance, Tang Zemin’s demeanor changed into a friendly one, and so did his brothers as the three of them bowed their heads and clasped their hands together in respect.
“Senior, we are sorry for having you witness such a scene. However, both of our clans are enemies since time immemorial, we cannot possibly let them go lest they find us for vengeance…” Tang Zemin announced.
“Yes, that’s right, and I am sure that Senior is also familiar with the phrase, annihilate an enemy to their roots and one should not release a tiger back to the mountain, right?”
“Senior, after everything is well and done, we three brothers will invite you to our humble sect, I’m sure that our Patriarch will also welcome you with everything that he has.”
The three fawned at him with everything that they had. The disciples from the Xia Clan who realized their actions also did the same and shouted.
“No, Senior! Don’t listen to those three bald monks! After they are done with us, they will certainly combine their strength together in an effort to kill you since you’re a witness!”
“That’s right, Senior! Those bastards from the Silent Monastery are a bunch of despicable bastards! Senior, we’re from the Xia Clan and if you helped us, we will forever be in your debt!”
Towards these shouts of boot-licking and pleading. Jiang Tian maintained his composure and indifference. Sweeping his gaze over the Xia Clan’s side. Jiang Tian confirmed that the robes that they wore looked identical to Xia Bingyue’s robes.
“So this is the reason why Xia Bingyue and her father is in a hurry to return to their Clan? The battle between these two influences is getting more vigorous as time passes by…” Jiang Tian mumbled under his breath and directed a stern gaze at the three bald youths.
“I have decided to intervene in this matter. I will have to ask the three of you to retreat…” Jiang Tian’s words stunned the three youths. They stared at each other for a moment before Tang Zemin said.
“Are you sure that you’re going to oppose the Silent Monastery for the sake of those small fries, Senior?” Tang Zemin slightly smiled as he mocked.
Jiang Tian knitted his eyebrows, the wind swept past his robes as a terrifying intent that he cultivated back in his previous world leaked out of his soul, intimidating the three youths as he shouted.
“Insolence! My decision isn’t something that juniors like you can easily influence! Go back to your Sect before I run out of patience!”
His stern shout sent shivers down the spine of the three youths as they stared at each other and retreated. Tang Zemin clicked his tongue, just a little bit more and he could’ve already acquired the tokens of these small fries and exchanged them for mystical techniques!
The three showed their unwillingness as their faces shone in resplendent lights of anger, fear, confusion, and uncertainty. Jiang Tian merely crossed his arms together before saying, “If you’re that unconvinced about my power, how about you send me another one of that attack earlier…”
“However…”
“If I succeeded in blocking it, my turn to attack shall come so prepare yourselves for your death…”
Jiang Tian’s menacing words made the three swallow a mouthful of saliva. Clenching their fists, they glared at the disciples behind Jiang Tian before venomously saying, “Since Senior is so insistent in protecting these bastards, then the three of us shall give you some face.”
Tang Zemin turned around and dashed towards the opposite direction while engraving Jiang Tian’s appearance in his heart.
The disciples from the Xia Clan that just escaped from their certain deaths all heaved sighs of reliefs. The disappearance of the threat made them relaxed as all of them fell on the ground and faced the skies.
Some cried out loud while some celebrated with a fierce shout. Disciples walked towards Jiang Tian and expressed their gratitude. Afterward, they worked together and tended to the wounded.
“What’s going on with Junior Sister Xinyi?!”
A shout echoed out inside the small ridge and the relaxed disciples awakened from their stupor as they all rushed towards their Junior Sister’s side.
There, the young woman looked pale and blue, her breathing was shallow and her chest moved paradoxically like an ocean wave. On her chest were numerous medicinal herbs, but judging from the expression of the person that treated her, it looked like she also didn’t have any idea about what’s going on.
“Luoyang, what’s going on with Junior Sister Xinyi?”
Voices of concern echoed out and Xia Luoyang shook her head, “I don’t know what’s going on but it looks like she’s in a critical condition.”
“A critical condition?”
Their expression became unwilling as tears welled up in their eyelids, Junior Sister Xinyi was their group’s lucky star and everyone admired her outgoing attitude. If she dies, their morale would sink even further and they may not be able to make it back to the Clan without further casualties.
“Her chest is moving paradoxically means she has a flail chest, let me take a look for a moment…” Jiang Tian appeared at the entrance and walked closer to the group. The disciples who witnessed how he intimidated those bald bastards from the Silent Monastery moved to the side and stared at him with hopeful expressions.
“I don’t have any medicinal pills with me, but don’t worry, I’ll do everything that I can do to save her if she can still be saved…” Jiang Tian shook his head before stretching his hand out to Xia Xinyi’s chest and pressed on it.
After several presses, his expression heaved a sigh of relief before saying, “Fortunately, she can still be saved. Someone, give me something sharp so I can operate on her.”
Xia Luoyang quickly handed over a jungle knife that she used for amputations along with a liquor for sanitizing. Jiang Tian slightly smiled and received the items. Cleaning the knife and his hands using the liquor, Jiang Tian opened Xinyi’s robes, revealing her alluring peaks. But at this moment, no one thought too much of it and only hoped that Jiang Tian succeeded.
Using his sense of touch to find her second intercostal space, Jiang Tian sliced an opening using the jungle knife as the pressure building up within Xinyi’s chest dissipated. Rubbing his forehead with his arm, Jiang Tian returned the knife back to Luoyang and explained.
“There’s an abnormal collection of air between her lung and chest wall, by opening her chest at the intercostal space, we are able to relieve some of that pressure so she can properly breathe. As for now, her condition is stabilized. The only problem is the issue of infection. We must clean her bloodied body as soon as possible.”
Jiang Tian’s words made the disciples erupt into cheers. Xia Luoyang stared at Jiang Tian with an incredulous expression on her face as she replayed his words inside her mind. Jiang Tian’s explanation was sound and logical, but was also mysterious, due to the fact that she never encountered such an injury before.
The disciples’ admiration for Jiang Tian grew as Jiang Tian sighed in his heart. Back in his previous world, Jiang Tian had to take care of his own injuries while he was on his missions so it wasn’t strange that he knew something about medicine.
Lifting his head to stare at the skies, melancholy flashed through his eyes as he thought.
“That War Emperor bastard must be celebrating right now after discovering my disappearance. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any disciples to pass on my legacy so this only means that the legend of the Ghost Emperor is also gone?”
Jiang Tian lightly chuckled, “What Ghost Emperor? I never thought too much about it before but the name that those bastards gave to me really sounds too ominous…”
Jiang Tian’s eyes flashed with a renewed light of resolve.
So my journey to the peak, starts once again? In this mundane life of mine, that idea doesn’t sound so bad…
