Transmigrated In The World Of My Wife Is A Beautiful Ceo - Chapter 74
Yang Chen was silently sleeping in his bed when he heard a knock coming from the door.
*Knock, Knock, Knock*
“Master, breakfast is ready.” Hannya’s soft voice could be heard.
Yang Chen groggily opened his eyes before stretching. He looked around and didn’t see Ruoxi or Rose. They seemed to be downstairs already.
“Alright…” He said tiredly.
Hannya then walked in as she thought, that was her sign to continue her morning routine.
Yang Chen was slightly surprised. Not because she entered, but because of what she was wearing.
Hannya was wearing a black and white maid outfit. It didn’t seem to be the right size for her as there were some areas where it was a little tight. But Hannya didn’t mind this, she thought this was just normal.
“Hannya, where did you get that outfit?” Yang Chen asked.
Hannya was a little distracted. Yang Chen was shirtless with only shorts on. She then started thinking of indecent thoughts with some blood trickling down her nose.
“Hannya?”
Hannya came out her l.u.s.tful thoughts and quickly wiped her nose. She then bowed her head.
“Sorry for showing an unsightly sight, Master!”
Yang Chen wasn’t bothered, “It’s fine. So, where did you get that outfit?”
Hannya raised her head and explained, “Wang Ma and Lady Rose picked this outfit for me. They said something about Master wanting me to dress like this. Was it wrong of me?”
Yang Chen facepalmed.
Ever since Yang Chen introduced Hannya as the new maid of the house, there have been different reactions.
Wang Ma was grateful toward him since the arrival of Lanlan had made her want to take care of the young girl. And now with a new helper, she would be less busy and could spend more time with Lanlan just like she once did, with young Ruoxi. So, she started showing Hannya the ropes.
Rose had thought this was a coincidence. She had bought a maid outfit for herself and Ruoxi recently so they could show Yang Chen. But with Hannya here, there would be no need for that now or so she thought.
Ruoxi was questionable about this. She thought Yang Chen had a secret fetish for maids, but she wasn’t certain. She wasn’t against the idea of having a maid either. She had known how hard Wang Ma would work, so she was also glad her 2nd mother wouldn’t have to push herself as much anymore.
Seventeen had actually smiled when Hannya was introduced as the maid. She thought Yang Chen had changed in her absence, but she starting to think otherwise. She didn’t know why she was happy at this thought, but she was.
Yang Chen waved his hand, “No, it’s alright. Alright, I’ll take a quick shower before I head downstairs.” He then left to the bathroom.
Hannya’s eyes not leaving his broad back until he was gone, she returned to her rightful duty by fixing the bed.
20 minutes later, Yang Chen was dressed in his black suit since he was going to his company later and headed inside the dining room.
“Mama, I’m still hungry!” Lanlan pouted after devouring a whole pancake.
Seventeen giggled and became a little reminiscent after seeing this. It reminded her of her time with Yang Chen when they were younger. Of course, it wasn’t meals like this but there were similarities
Ruoxi looked at Yang Chen with pleading eyes, “Hubby, please say something to her.”
Year Chen sat on his seat and said seriously, “Lanlan, you shouldn’t eat this much.”
Lanlan became curious, “But Lanlan loves food. Why can’t I eat more?”
Yang Chen patted his c.h.e.s.t and said righteously, “Because, you need to leave me some as well.”
Rose giggled and Ruoxi sweatdropped.
Ruoxi then faked anger, “Hubby, as a parent, you’re supposed to show strictness.”
Yang Chen chuckled, “That’s funny, coming from you who spoils her the most.”
Ruoxi couldn’t think of anything to counter.
“I-I-I…Hmph! I’m going to help Wang Ma in the kitchen.” She then got up from her seat and left.
Rose giggled again, “Be nice to her, hubby.”
Yang Chen acted confused, “What I do?”
Seventeen didn’t know why, but as she watched this scene, she felt some warmth. This is the kind of life she wanted when she tried to get Yang Chen out of his killing state and come live with her.
Wang Ma then came into the room and served Yang Chen his plate. She then showed a caring smile.
“Young Master, the young Miss is just as new to this role, as you are.”
She then left back to the kitchen, as she saw Lanlan almost finished with her plate so she could bring her more.
Yang Chen gave that thought. He then looked at Seventeen who was silent.
“Why are you so quiet? She’s your daughter too.”
Seventeen showed an indifferent face, “What do you mean, I’m always like this.” She then continued her breakfast with small bites.
Seventeen always had trouble conveying her real emotions.
‘Why did I say that…He was just asking you a question, you idiot…’ Seventeen thought with regret.
Yang Chen didn’t pay it any mind. He knew she was like this. He then looked toward Lanlan and patted her on the head.
“Lanlan, listen to your mother Ruoxi in the future, okay?”
Lanlan stopped eating so she could show a bright smile, “Okay, Papa!”
Yang Chen smiled and was about to start on his breakfast but suddenly, he furrowed his brows.
Rose noticed this, “What’s wrong, hubby?”
Yang Chen pinched the bridges of his nose, “We have some visitors.”
He knew exactly who it was, so he was annoyed.
‘Why do people always annoy me when I’m about to enjoy my meal…’ Yang Chen thought tiredly.
(AN: Don’t know.)
Yang Chen got off his seat and went toward the front door.
On his way there, he saw Hannya heading there as well, so he stopped her.
“Hannya, I’ll answer it.”
Hannya nodded. She had been cleaning the rest of the rooms in the house so she went back to fulfilling her maid duties.
Yang Chen then opened the door to the uninvited visitors.
It was Song Tianxing. It wasn’t only him as there were two others with him
It was Abbess Yun Miao and Hui Lin. The two Nuns.
They must have had many eyes on them, on their way here, due to their outfits. Especially, Hui Lin and her beauty.
Song Tianxing showed an apologetic smile.
“Are you not going to let us in?” Abbess asked in an annoyed manner.
Yang Chen ignored her and looked toward Song Tianxing.
“What do you want?”
Song Tianxing smiled bitterly. He didn’t want to bother Yang Chen, but he was the only one who knew where his disciple was staying at. So Abbess made him take her to Yang Chen.
Song Tianxing wanted to act like a true teacher so he tried to flaunt his skills toward his disciple.
“You must be wondering how I manage to locate you-…”
“No, not really.” Yang Chen cut him off.
Yang Chen had already figured this out long ago. He found a location mark on Lanlan, way back. And who else could it be, other than Song Tianxing?
‘I knew, I should’ve erased that mark before…’ Yang Chen sighed regrettably.
Song Tianxing closed his half-open mouth and stayed quiet. He was quite embarrassed at the moment.
Abbess Yun Miao frowned, “Boy, is that any way to talk toward your Master.”
Yang Chen frowned as well, “Why do you keep barking, woman?”
A tick mark appeared on her forehead.
“Boy, don’t get all c.o.c.ky after saving me once. And don’t forget, you lied about not knowing Tianxing before!”
Hui Lin smiled nervously. She didn’t want to see her Master angry.
“Master, please calm down…” Hui Lin’s sweet voice could be heard from the side.
Abbess calmed herself after hearing her disciple. She then nodded with a gentle smile.
“Boy, we need to talk,” Abbess said regaining her strict manner.
Yang Chen wanted to chase them out, but he knew what she wanted to talk about. He was also looking for an opportunity to talk to the woman beside her. It seems luck was on his side, once more.
Yang Chen then closed the door and stood outside while crossing his arms since he wasn’t about to let them enter.
“Let’s hear it.”
Abbess Yun Miao wasn’t upset about talking outside. She had guessed Ruoxi was inside and she didn’t want to see her.
Abbess then looked at Hui Lin.
“Hui Lin, you should fix this act of his when you have the chance. He will be your future husband, after all.”
Hui Lin was completely shocked by her words. She didn’t know any of this.
Song Tianxing made himself look small. He knew the reason for meeting Yang Chen, but he still didn’t dare to explain it.
Abbess then looked at Yang Chen.
“Boy, if it wasn’t for the guilt of treating Tianxing the way I did and the promise to him, I would never entrust my disciple to a man like you.”
When Song Tianxing had disappeared, Abbess Yun Miao took it upon herself to take care of his student. Yang Chen was practically her nephew disciple considering her relationship with Tianxing.
Yang Chen gave her a scornful smile, “So, you’re saying we should both marry because you say so?”
Abbess Yun Miao stood by her words.
“Exactly.”
Yang Chen sneered, “Truly a woman who only thinks for herself.”
Abbess knew she wasn’t giving her granddaughter a choice here. But she had already made a promise to marry her granddaughter to the student of Tianxing back then.
Nobody knew Yang Chen was the disciple of the Song Tianxing at the time either. She just knew it was a man that had a relatively close age to Hui Lin.
Abbess Yun Miao stood firmly, “And, what of it? Not like adding an extra woman to your house will hurt you.”
Hui Lin couldn’t believe the words coming out for her Master, right now.
Yang Chen ignored her since he didn’t want to keep going back and forth with this obnoxious woman. He then looked at Hui Lin.
“Hey, are you really going to accept this just like that?”
Hui Lin didn’t know what to reply. She felt indebted to Yang Chen after he saved her Master back then. But, she didn’t know if that was a good enough reason to get married. She also didn’t want to upset her Master more than she was already.
After Abbess found out about Lin Zhiguo’s disappearance, she became heartbroken. They had been distant for many years, but they were once a loving couple. But, Song Tianxing has been keeping her company so she wouldn’t be depressed as much these days.
(AN: Damn…)
After not hearing a reply, Yang Chen said, “If you really feel indebted to me, then instead of getting married, do something for me.”
This caught everyone’s attention.
“I want you to come and help me with a project I’m working on.” Yang Chen stated.
Hui Lin tilted her head at what project could this be.
Abbess Yun Miao denied firmly.
“Absolutely, not! You have to marry her!”
Yang Chen was getting extremely annoyed. If it wasn’t for the game he was working on, he would’ve thrown her a.s.s out already.
Yes, this was Yang Chen’s goal from the start. He was going to have Hui Lin use her singing talent for the music of his game.
Yang Chen had remembered from the novel that Hui Lin had an amazing voice and would be a popular idol, compared to the one and only Christine.
The only reason he went with Hui Lin instead of Christine, was that she owed him for saving her Master. And Yang Chen being the person he was, decide to use that to his advantage when asking her.
“So, how about it?” Yang Chen asked Hui Line while ignoring Abbess.
Hui Lin was inclined to agree. She still didn’t know if she wanted to be married to this man.
Hui Lin then slowly nodded as she was a bit shy to answer directly.
Abbess Yun Miao showed an angry fit, but she suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder.
It was Song Tianxing shaking his head.
Abbess Yun Miao sighed as her anger defused. Her disciple was about to be on the verge of tears if she kept persisting in this matter.
Yang Chen smiled, “Great.”
“Hold on, boy,” Abbess said.
“You have to explain this project to me, first.”
Yang Chen was already ready for this so he opened the front door and grabbed contract papers that he had instantly made beforehand, from inside the house. He then walked past Abbess and gave it directly to Hui Lin.
“Read the context of these papers and meet me tomorrow at my company to finalize the whole thing.”
Hui Lin blushed at the close contact with Yang Chen. She was extremely shy around new people. She then gently took the contact.
Yang Chen then started heading back inside his house. As his back was facing them, an evil smile appeared on his face.
‘It’s a good thing I decided to make Cai Ning undergo an illusion back then. If not, then this opportunity wouldn’t be presented in front of me.’
Back when Lin Zhiguo had attacked Yang Chen’s company, he already made plans to enter the gaming industry. So when Lin Zhiguo told Cai Ning to retreat, he placed a strong illusion which made her believe, they had actually escaped Yang Chen’s clutches.
But later on, they would encounter a strong opponent who was looking for revenge against Lin Zhiguo. Not being able to defeat him, Grey Robe lost his life and Lin Zhiguo stayed since he had to face the problem that he created. Of course, Cai Ning wanted to fight to the end, but her leader had ordered her to retreat while giving her an important letter that must be sent to certain people.
Cai Ning bit her lip in frustration at how weak she was and followed her general’s order. She then met up with Abbess and explained the details.
Abbess Yun Miao was frustrated and saddened. She hated how Lin Zhiguo did things. She then received his letter and went to mourn for him.
Although the body was never found, survival was slim. If what Cai Ning said was true, the probability of surviving was nil.
Not an ounce of suspicion was ever brought to the man in front of this middle-aged Nun.
“Hey, boy. I still have some questions about this project-…”
Yang Chen didn’t pay attention to her and went inside his house, but not before slamming the door on her face.
Abbess Yun Miao gnashed her teeth while Song Tianxing sighed. He couldn’t do anything about this.
Hui Lin was looking curiously in the direction Yang Chen had gone. She’s never met anyone that could anger her Master to this degree.
(AN: I sort of just added the last part since I had realized quite late that I made a mistake when MC was dealing with Lin Zhiguo.)
