Transmigrated In The World Of My Wife Is A Beautiful Ceo - Chapter 75
Hannya was beside him, “Miss Hui Lin and her Master have just arrived at the lobby floor.”
Yang Chen had originally wanted Hannya to stop being his secretary since she could overwork herself. Not only would she have to be his secretary and maid, but she still had to give time for her cultivation.
Hannya felt joy at her Master’s consideration. But, she politely refused since this was necessary to be a good slave.
Yang Chen nodded, “Bring them in.”
And with that order, Hannya went to retrieve the guests.
A few minutes later, Hannya was back with the two nuns.
Well, Abbess Yun Miao was wearing her same martial arts robe while Hui Lin was dressed in a more modernized outfit.
She wasn’t wearing a nun outfit, but a light brown overcoat that ordinary ladies in the city would wear, and a pair of long, fitting black pants which revealed her perfect curves. On her feet, it was a pair of high black boots.
She was also carrying a small piece of luggage but Yang Chen didn’t say anything about it since he sort of knew what this old Nun was going to bring up.
Hui Lin had an excited face as she’s never been this high up in a building before. She was looking at the glass windows behind Yang Chen’s desk while looking at the amazing view of Kyoto.
She has never been outside of China or even the mountain of Shushan so everything was a first for her.
Shushan was one of the ancient sects that resided in China.
“Ahem!” Abbess Yun Miao cleared her throat.
Hui Lin became embarrassed and went back to her Master’s side.
Yang Chen chuckled. This reminded him of Ruoxi. He had to admit, they both had some similarities.
They both sat down and Abbess didn’t waste any time.
“Are you certain Hui Lin won’t suffer from this?”
Abbess had read the contract and it clearly stated, that Hui Lin will never be brought upon the dark sides of the entertainment business.
Abbess Yun Miao hadn’t personally witnessed this. But, she was older and more experienced in the ways of society. Compared to Hui Lin who was the complete opposite.
Yang Chen didn’t reply but asked a question.
“Are you going to be her agent?”
Abbess Yun Miao shook her head, “Only for this meeting. I won’t have enough time since I still must manage the Lin Clan.”
Hui Lin felt downhearted. Her Master wouldn’t be able to be with her. She had always lived with her Master so this was the first time they would be far apart.
After Lin Zhiguo’s passing, Abbess Yun Miao received his letter and his only wish, was for her to make sure the Lin Clan doesn’t fall off.
Yang Chen nodded, “That’s right. She won’t be exposed to that side of the entertainment world if she decides to work with me.”
Abbess Yun Maio felt relief. She knew how naive her granddaughter was to things she hasn’t experienced. So now, she didn’t have to worry as much.
Hui Lin didn’t know what side they were talking about. She had mainly accepted because she liked singing and playing musical instruments.
Abbess Yun Miao then said, “That works. I will let you be business partners with my disciple.”
Yang Chen wanted to laugh. Her words didn’t mean shit to him. In the end, the choice fell down to Hui Lin. So he looked toward her.
Hui Lin averted his gaze with a small blush. She didn’t like being stared at. But, she knew what he was waiting for. So she nodded toward her Master’s words.
“Great. Let’s just sign-…”
Before Yang Chen could finish his words, Abbess Yun Miao interrupted.
“Before, my disciple signs anything. She’s going to need a place to live…”
In the contract, it stated that Hui Lin would receive free accommodation for the duration of her contract. But, Yang Chen wasn’t oblivious. He understood this woman’s intentions. The luggage was also a dead give-away.
“So, Hui Lin will stay at your house so she could get used to the new environment.” Abbess finished what she was saying.
Hui Lin blushed in embarrassment. Her Master had imposed on her to stay with Yang Chen.
Yang Chen started thinking about this. He could fasten the progress of her singing talent if she stayed with him. But, the problem was revolving around Ruoxi.
Hui Lin and Ruoxi were half cousins so he didn’t know how his wife would take this. He will explain it to her, of course.
“That works for me as well.” Yang Chen said.
Abbess Yun Maio became happy. She had never given up on the plan to wed these two so she was satisfied that Yang Chen easily agreed.
After signing the contracts, Yang Chen called for Hannya who was waiting outside the office.
Hannya entered, “Yes, Master?”
“Escort Hui Lin to the car, we’ll be leaving soon. I just need to talk to her Master for a bit, before we go.”
Hui Lin showed a dejected face but her Master patted her head with a gentle smile. She then got up from the seat, took her luggage, and followed Hannya outside the room.
Now alone, Abbess Yun Miao asked with a frown.
“What do you want?”
Yang Chen didn’t respond and got up from his seat. He then started walking toward her and stopped beside her.
Abbess was confused until Yang Chen grabbed the collar of her Nun outfit and pulled her up from the seat so she can face him directly.
“Who the f.u.c.k do you think you are, to keep barking at me?” Yang Chen asked coldly.
Yang Chen was annoyed. Ever since this woman showed up, she kept lashing out at him.
Of course, Yang Chen wouldn’t be bothered by this since he would ignore her. But this person kept looking down on him, repeatedly.
Nobody wants to be looked down upon. Not even, Yang Chen.
Abbess Yun Miao was stunned. She couldn’t even see his movement as he grabbed her by the collar.
“…L-Let go.” She tried to fight his grip but it was pointless.
Yang Chen not lighting up, “Let me tell you; if your granddaughter wasn’t of use to me, I would’ve thrown your a.s.s out the window by now.”
Abbess Yun Miao lightly shivered. Feeling his oppression, she couldn’t do anything. They were on the top floor of a twenty-story building. Even if she didn’t die, she wouldn’t be far off. She may have been a cultivator, but her level wasn’t that high.
She would surely meet a gruesome end if she were thrown off.
Yang Chen suddenly smiled cruelly, “If you keep annoying me…well, just rememberer your precious granddaughter is staying with me.”
Abbess Yun Miao felt cold sweat on her forehead. She had forgotten who this man was. She was slightly regretting her actions of giving Hui Lin to him.
Yang Chen wasn’t playing around either. Although, he did need Hui Lin for his game. She wasn’t his only option. He still had Christine. He only chose Hui Lin because the offer presented itself by chance.
Not hearing a reply, Yang Chen sneered and released her.
“Now, f.u.c.k off.”
Abbess Yun Miao lightly fixed herself and left Yang Chen’s office with cold sweat. She had no words to reply to this person.
Yang Chen was never a nice person. If you try to mess with him or someone he cares about, there would be consequences. He then left his office and went to the parking garage.
Once there, he entered the back seat of his car.
Hui Lin was also in the backseat but she subconsciously scooted over since she still wasn’t used to this kind of close contact with a man.
Yang Chen wasn’t bothered and signaled Hannya to head home.
As they were heading home, Yang Chen turned to Hui Lin.
The whole drive so far; was quiet. So, Hui Lin inwardly panicked as she thought Yang Chen was waiting for her to say something.
Yang Chen asked, “Did you know Abbess Yun Miao was your grandmother?”
Hui Lin was caught by surprise by his question. She looked away and slowly nodded.
Hui Lin thought her Master had explained this to him when they were alone.
Although, she knew Abbess was her grandmother. Hui Lin still called her, Master, since she had grown accustomed to calling her this way.
Safe to say, she also knew Lin Zhiguo was her grandfather.
When she found Lin Zhiguo had passed, she wasn’t as depressed as one might think. The man never visited and spent time with her to be able to form a familial bond. Just like Ruoxi, he was never there.
This was due to the fact, that he felt responsible that his granddaughter grew up parentless.
Hui Lin wasn’t looking in Yang Chen’s direction but managed to say with a blush on her face.
“B-By the way, you can call me Lin Hui…”
She had also known her grandmother had changed her name due to the anger she felt toward Lin Zhiguo at the time.
Yang Chen nodded and asked.
“Then, do you know my wife is your half cousin?”
Lin Hui nodded meekly. Her Master had wanted to marry her off to the husband of her half-cousin.
“Alright, that’s simple. When we arrive at the house, don’t mention Lin Zhiguo. My wife and he didn’t have a good relationship.”
Lin Hui slowly nodded. She was slightly relieved that they could share a similarity. She never had relatives so she felt a little warmth.
Yang Chen nodded with a smile. They then proceeded to head toward the house in silence.
Yang Chen wasn’t much of a talker and Lin Hui was too shy to start up a conversation on her own.
Once they got to the house and entered, Yang Chen went to look for Ruoxi with Lin Hui following him. Hannya had gone to change into her maid outfit so she could start her maid duties.
