In the deep forest

Shams followed the light that the voice instructed him to follow.

As he walks deeper and further inside the forest, Shams could not help himself but wonder from its enchanting ambiance.

Earthy raw scent of the wet mud and crisp scent dewy foliage

Greenly moss and grasses which seemed fresh

The aged trees had creaking branches and its roots stretched away crinkled on the ground

Some animals roaming and scurrying around

It was almost peaceful as it could get

Amused by everything he has been seeing around.

Until some beasts hunted on some animals.

One beast after another, hunting each other.

In an instant, the fantasy of a peaceful forest just disappeared like a bubble that popped in the mid-air.

Indeed, the forest was a dangerous place for someone like Shams and the other kids to venture off with.

Despite the rampage of the beasts hunting one after the other, its menacing look in their eyes could tell it all that these creatures desire only one thing to hunt!

No beasts dared to attack nor even attempt to approach on Shams.

“I want to ask, why do the beasts avoid me? Aren’t I an easy target for them?” a curiosity which made Shams wonder for an answer.

< Sss Of course they will not dare harm those who are under my protection. Sss >

“What you mean under your protection?”

< Sss The light which guides you is a portion of my power. My ki is feared by most beasts in this forest. After all, I am a mythical beast that ruled over this forest. All creatures around this forest fear my presence and wrath. So you are fortunate to be under my protection. Sss. >

“Hmmm Why do they fear you? Are you some boss here in this area? Because back in my world. There are 3 reasons why someone will fear you,

[1] You can cause pain and misery to others.

[2] You are someone with great reputation, wealth, power and stature in the community.

[3] Lastly, you are their parent, superior, senior or a boss that has authority over them.

Those are the reasons why would others fear you, in my opinion.” further explained by Shams to the mysterious voice talking to him.

< Sss You have too many questions, young one! But you are indeed right, because all of those reasons are the exactly why they fear me around in this forest. Sss >

“Why would you offer me power? What’s in it for you?” another query of Shams.

< Sss Let’s just say. You are the only one that could hear my voice. I have tried to look for someone to hear me but it only fell into deaf ears. I offer you power in exchange for something that you will be able to do for me. Sss >

“Oh, so you need me to do something for you!” Shams exclaimed.

< Sss You have asked me with too many questions. Now, it’s my turn to ask you. Why accept my offer? Desperate much for power? You want to save and protect those you care about. Sss >

“Ummm Partly yes but mostly because of my own goal at the moment. Yes, I will be able to protect those I care about with the power that you will give me. But mostly, I want to live life the way I want to. I can only live freely if I am the most powerful and strongest among the rest” Shams’ reply to the mysterious voice.

< Sss You mean, you want to take over the entire realm? Your reasoning is too peculiar for a young child like you. Sss >

A sudden burst of laughter was released by Shams while following the light.

“Am I that obvious? First of all, I am originally older in my previous life. I am reborn or given the second chance to live but only through this young body of mine. And yes, I am planning to take over this world of yours. Whatever way it would be, I will take it! I am too tired of living poorly. So, I have decided. I … WILL … TAKE … EVERYTHING … I … WANT!” an honest answer that amused the mysterious voice.

< Sss Indeed you fascinate me, child! Or rather THE FUTURE MASTER of this world. I can see such great potential in you. Sss >

Shams smirked with such an evil look on his face. “Oh, you do not know how much I have been scheming for the future of mine. It will be everyone’s nightmare if they allow me to grow and develop my own skills. Because this world is up for a rude awakening Once I get all the power that I need.”

For a moment, the mysterious voice felt something that it never felt before… Fear!

Meanwhile

Once they realized Shams was missing, they had no choice but to follow the tracks of Shams.

“Are you sure this is the way to little Ryoku?” Maya asked Hawks who is checking the footprints of Shams with the help of the magical glasses of Rankuza.

“Yes, I am sure. Can’t you see, Rankuza’s glasses have the power to see the spiritual energy of someone living and somehow there are remnants along the way in this path which is supported with these small footprints from our dear little monster. Once I get hold of him, I will spank him ’til he begs for mercy.”

“I can’t believe Yuri will hand over Rankuza some special glasses made by her alchemy skills. It is so unfair. Why does Yuri favor you so much, Ranku?” Billy expresses his envy towards Rankuza.

“W-well, of course Why not! She said I am smart and adorable!” Rankuza stuttering reply.

As they walk, the four kids heard a familiar voice and laugh

“Can’t you hear it? I think we are getting closer to that little monster.” Hawks declared.

When they thought they were about to catch up with Shams, a dangerous encounter they are about to face

A group of wild wolves with a horn on their forehead appeared.

“Uh-oh! That does not look friendly!” Billy informed the others regarding his observation.

“Rankuza, hurry and go back to the school. Ask for help and reinforcement! We will hold these beasts while you escape.” Hawks gave out his orders to Rankuza.

“I do not think I can go back ” Rankuza told Hawks.

“And why would that be?”

“By the looks of it, I cannot remember which way to go? I think we are too deep in the forest now.” Rankuza stated directly to Hawks.

“You mean, we are lost!!” Maya uttered something that others failed to realize sooner.

A realization that they are lost in the middle of the forest and surrounded by dangerous beasts and monsters.
