Trapped In Time - Chapter 102
Both of them asked the prisoners to slowly move out of jail and continue to walk to their homes. They were to remain in their homes till someone by the name of Mono contacted them. They were not to go anywhere or have any contact with anyone for a week. Since their benefactors had their names and addressed as well as phone numbers, they would be contacted shortly.
Thereafter the scientists left for their respective homes. As they had been hypnotized they became statues as soon as they entered their homes. The same thing happened with the political prisoners. They also became statues upon reaching their homes.
The fourth group made their way to the local Administrator’s office. Here another Orb held a similar thin lit torch like apparatus and hypnotized the local Administrator and his colleagues. They were asked to head for the jail.
They, in turn, followed the directions of the Orb and made their way to the jail and entered the ‘political prisoners’ compound of the jail. As soon as the local Administrator and his cronies landed up in their cells, they became statues. The gates closed behind the new prisoners. New records with names and other details were created and kept in the reception area.
As per the request of Zoya, all the CCTVs all the towns were neutralized everywhere throughout their little world of 4 towns, right from the minute the first Time Machine experiment was destroyed. There should not be any lapses.
Thereafter they headed back to the residential hostel of the scientists for a good night’s sleep. They had been awake since 5 am They walked back into the tunnel. They had no time to see the town as it was night time. But it seemed to be a properly planned city like the ancient Indian cities of Harappa and Mohenjo Daro and the present city of Chandigarh in India. These ancient cities were made in such a way that the blowing wind would clean them. The back of the houses was towards the main roads. The front of the houses opened into the inner lanes of the colonies.
It seems that the idea for their towns was taken from the information about these cities available on the net. Soon they had reached the residential hostel and were escorted to their rooms by the Orbs. New night suits were kept on each bed.
After taking bath in the attached bathrooms, which had lovely herbal scented soaps and shampoos, everyone wore their new pajama suits and admired themselves in the attached mirrors on the walls of each individual room. Soon as they lay on their beds and as soon as their heads touched their respective pillows they went to sleep as everyone was tired.
Early next morning Zia and Luke got busy extracting Orange juice, making the porridge for everyone, making toasts as well as eggs of the non-vegetarians and toasts and beans for vegetarians. A pot of coffee and a pot of tea were set to brew. Mono and Zoya took over to stir the porridge and make tea/coffee while Zia and Luke took a break to talk to each other. Luke was very happy with all the praises he had received from Zia. He explained that he had known her for quite a while but had met her face to face when she had got off the bus. It was love at first sight for him and Sherpa knew about it if she wanted confirmation. Zia was zapped and made a mental note to talk to Sherpa later.
The conversation could not proceed further as the rest of the group members came down accompanied by the Orbs emitting light. All of them were wearing new clothes provided for them and they were carrying bags that contained their soiled clothes. Mono, Luke, Zoya, and Zia had already brought their city clothes with them when they had come to the canteen.
Everyone wanted to finish their meal and start for the next part of their journey with the Orbs surrounding them. They made their way to the same tunnel and in 15 minutes they reached the launching pad where they had landed in Town I. All the three guys who had been there, were still in statue position. Here they kept their clothes in the locker at the landing pad and would collect them later when the returned to Town M. Now they were heading to Town J.
They again used four electric cars moving through the travel tunnels which worked on electric energy harnessed from the small waterfalls at all the towns. Town J is about 150 km away and parallel to Town I on the other side of the snow-covered mountains.
The 100 Orbs traveled with them by gliding beside the cars. These cars were similar to the ones they had used to reach Town I. They sat in the same arrangement and within 20 minutes they reached the landing pad at the arrival tunnel of Town J. The cars stopped at their respective slots, the Orbs emitting white light and surrounded them as they got out of the cars. The trekkers followed Mono who walked with the map. They all saw three hazy statues in various stages of doing something. It was just like what they had seen when they had reached the departure tunnel at Town M and Town I. Since this was also another town that was far away, it was less on the visiting list.
The tunnel here was as well-lit as the light from outside was filtering through the shafts and vents as was in the tunnel in Town M and I. There was a fragrance of herbs and fresh flowers coming through.
They walked for about 10 minutes and came to a similar inner cave that had about 5 scientists sitting in front of machines as statues in various stages of doing work. Another scientist was standing like a statue near the huge pulsating brain probably he had been measuring the pulsations as he had a notebook in which he had been jotting something. The huge pulsating brain was hanging at the other end of the wall of the cave. On the wall was written, ‘Time Machine Experiment, Town J’.
The two telephone booth-like structures were visible here too with glass covers too and connected with wires to the computers then in turn connected through nerve-like wires to the huge pulsating brain.
