Trope World - Volume 1 Chapter 34 Death Marches
Zorg
Zorg hummed to himself and turned a piglet over an open fire. Fat fell into the fire driving it higher threatening to scorch his meal. To an outside observer nothing would be out of the ordinary. A man was cooking dinner. Except, he was in a war zone. Undead marched all around him seemingly avoiding Zorg and his cook fire. Most animals had long since fled the area, yet somehow Zorg had captured a piglet.
To Zorg few smells were more intoxicating than roasted piglet. Unfortunately, he couldn’t eat it yet. He had to let the pig cook a while longer before it was ready. If he let it cook for too long, the meat would become burnt and flavorless, but too short and he risked parasites. The sweetest meat was always the one right in the middle. The meat must be cooked just right. He turned his makeshift crank just before turning to an unexpected guest.
“If I’d known you were coming, I would have caught a second piglet. They grow fat in these lands but not fat enough for two.” He said and narrowed his eyes at his guest.
“I know better than to share a meal with you. Half for you is always more than my share.” His guest said.
Zorg knew this man, they had tangled in the past. In a time when they were both less experienced, they had relied upon each other. His companion was a man in light armor covered in a myriad of swords, spears, axes, bows, arrows, and clubs. Each was a weapon once wielded by a legendary angel or demon cultivator. They were left in his friends flesh as a testament to their memory and an end to their legacies. Their legendary weapons wouldn’t be passed down.
He knew his friend very well. There were some games his friend couldn’t resist.
“Achilles your timing is impeccable, a war is about to begin, and we have a stake in it.” Zorg said. Achilles snorted and settled his gaze on the piglet popping and sizzling.
“What’s the occasion? A war as small as this one is hardly worth celebrating. There aren’t any Dao children, Devils, or Seraphs in this war. It is merely the squabbling between angels and demons.” More fat fell in the fire and the flames rose higher threatening to burn Zorg’s piglet.
“There is an occasion, we have a stake in this war. One of us has arrived in this world. He’s a member of the black moon sect.” Zorg said smiling to his friend.
Achilles snorted. “Did one of us was transformed into a centaur, or did you transform them into a centaur and have them infiltrate the sect?” Achilles demanded. Zorg smiled to his poor dimwitted friend. The problem could like with too many axes to the face.
Zorg smiled flexing his charisma. He let a little bit of his power flow to his voice. Not enough to be notice but enough to influence.
“Neither, he’s managed to earn a place and rise from a slave to an outer sect disciple.” The flames continued to climb covering the pig as the flames sought to consume the fat as fuel. Achilles snorted and waved his hand putting out the fire and saving Zorg’s meal.
“Ah, Achilles you really know when to put out fires.” Zorg tore off a chunk of flesh and bit into it. Just as he thought, perfection! It wasn’t burnt nor undercooked.
“It seems, I exist to put out your fires. What would you do if I wasn’t around?” Achilles asked before walking off and vanishing in a burst of speed.
“I would watch the world burn.” Zorg said and continued to consume the piglet letting the hot grease fall down his beardless ebony face. His glittering white teeth flashed as he devoured the meat. He consumed the organs and crushed the bones between his teeth. When he finished nothing was left of the piglet.
Apophis
He wanted to right the injustices of the past. A desire for balancing the scales drove Apophis from the brink of death. When a trickle of spirit energy had entered his pathways, he breathed in new life. Atrophied muscles were soon replaced by new muscles with the strength to render continents. His angelic wings burst from his back-shining white as bone and hungry to suck in all the spiritual energy in the aria. Just as he regained conscious, tribulation lightning crashed upon him. In his weakened state it threatened to destroy his very soul. If he had been alone it might have destroyed him. Members of the monster lord sect were never alone.
Helios The Unfathomable Sun, Umbra the Endless Depths, and Brackus The Blood Iron Dragon stood with him. Each was a representative of the five elements, only missing wood.
Together they fought the tribulation lightning and survived. With their ordeal complete, their bodies began to recover in earnest. It had been two thousand years since they were sealed away by the White Circle sect. There was no sign of the white circle and they were free to reclaim what was rightfully theirs.
They had divided their attention and struck at four different cities. Apophis was confident he would be the first to take his city. Within his divine palace, he was stronger than a mere angel, he was as powerful as a low Seraph.
He swirled wine in his glass. It was a red of some kind. He was more of a beer man in his previous life, but wine would have to do. There was a level of class that came with wine that beer couldn’t provide. He took a sip of the dry wine and wanted to spit it out. Unfortunately, red was all they could find the centaurs took most of the others.
It was his fault really. Apophis hadn’t slowed his conquest, but he hadn’t hastened it either. There was little chance the city could prepare for his might. They were hardly a bunkered city. With his brothers attacking the chances of a relief force as well coming quickly was negligible. Most would call him lazy, but Apophis The Death Mountain enjoyed the finer things in life. Even if the finest he could obtain was red wine.
Ipy entered the room wearing a heavy robe over his dragon bone armor. The ghostly lich was covered in small gems. They were each a soul container his lieutenant devoured from defeated liches. With each victory his subordinate became over more powerful.
Ipy had been sealed along with Apophis himself. If not for that Ipy may well be a seraph or Arch Angel by now.
His subordinate hadn’t come empty handed. In his hands was a rope leading to a bound centaur of the nascent soul stage. Apophis flexed his cultivation base sealing the centaur’s. The beast’s eyes widened in alarm. “Angel.” He accused before Ipy jerked on the rope toppling the beast.
“Keep him in one of the holding cells Ipy, he may be useful if the black moon sect manages to send a counterattack.” Apophis took a drink and sucked it down the wrong pipe. He spat the contents on Ipy and the centaur embarrassing himself. Red in the face, he quickly thought of some way to save face.
Before he could come up with something Ipy came to the rescue. “You stupid beast, look what you did. You made my elder brother choke.” Ipy kicked the centaur hard in his blasphemous horse ribs. Crack! Crack! Crack! Apophis raised his hand to stop the onslaught.
“Mercy human please, I didn’t make him choke. ” The centaur said begging for the pain to end. Apophis was about to intervene before Ipy spoke.
“You dare lie in front of your betters. You will learn your place.” Ipy shouted. Apophis sighed and cleared his throat.
“Enough Ipy, we don’t want him to die.” Ipy slowly halted from kicking the beast. The centaur was a sorry sight. A rib was poking out of its hide and his nose was in ruins. It was nothing more than a mess of broken cartilage and blood. “Now Ipy, my most loyal subordinate, take him to his cell and leave him there to rot.” Apophis said, and sagged with relief on his throne. He really didn’t like red wine after all. He would have conquered Low Port for their beer if nothing else.
Qara and Chingis
“My son has been captured by the monster lord because of you!” A heavy hand slammed down shattering the table beneath. The manic eyes of Chingis Chu glared down hatefully at Qara Wang. She had been the wench who convinced his son to lead the harassment party. His son was none other than Batu a nascent soul cultivator and now a prisoner. “Was this your plan? Did you come to Low Port to kill my boy?” Chengis bellowed.
Qara Wang of the notorious Wang clan. Their clan resided in the black moon cadet branch in Flood Dragon Bay. It was now under siege if the latest reports were accurate. It wasn’t alone, the cadet branches in Waterfall Mountain and Under Well were also under siege. All four cities that surrounded Eternal Forest had been attacked. He had lost contact with two of those villages.
“Perhaps, it would have been better if you had gone out instead of my stallion. You could have long since defeated the army and broken the siege before it began. Its your wait and see approach that made Batu take action.” Qara shouted. She stamped her hoof and glared at the patriarch. Inside she felt sick and mad. Emotions were flowing through her at such a pace she couldn’t hold on to her cultivation. It flared and many of the surrounding guards dropped to their knees.
Chingis looked at her with an ever-changing expression. There was a light in his eyes. He had gained some insight she wasn’t privy of. Was Batu returning? Had he somehow done the impossible and escaped capture?
“You are with Batu’s child.” The centaur in said. Chingis was thousands of years old but he wasn’t an old man. He looked to be in his early 20s. He had hundreds of grandsons, great grandsons, and great great grandsons. Batu was different. Batu was Chingis’s favorite.
“If we surrender this city the monster lord might release Batu.” She said. Her heart pounded as she waited for the ancient Patriarch to respond.
“To do so would put us all in danger. The monster lord would surely tip the balance and bring about an age of fire. Humans prefer the ages to take their natural order. The Equine nation can’t afford it. We have invested too much in an age of water.
“That’s it! My child will be fatherless for the sake of your age of water.” Qara said.
“My son will sacrifice himself for the good of the clan. The age of water will bring prosperity to all of us.” Chingis said with finality. Qara knew then that the siege would be a long and bitter one. Her child may not live to be born if food grew too scarce.
Melchior Nimrod
Two large globs of the greatest softness wrapped around my member. Och looked up at me like I was a god. With her blue eyes in an expression of pleasure, I felt like one. She continued to buck her rump knocking me forward. It was the best and worst position. Best because her tits were soft, firm, and my d.i.c.k fell into them like quicksand. Worst because Och’s bucking made my position unstable. Ironic because that’s exactly what my position was now. A harem master rarely lasted beyond a year.
Both Och and Tayu broke off from each other to give his member some attention. They waited together in a trance as my member poked out between her tits and planted itself between their faces.
While her tits were wrapped around my member it was warm, but now it was starting to get chilly. The air itself was dropping in temperature.
Both girls helped me out by continuing their make out session kissing and licking around my pole. Tayu grabbed at my base to hold me steady and Och rocked her tits up and down my shaft. It was warmer than anything I’d felt save Hertha.
Och turned her tits and started rubbing her n.i.p.p.l.es across the top of my member as the two centauresses played around their obstacle. I shivered, I was getting close. My body only grew colder in contrast to my hot member.
Och’s tits were softer than anything I’d ever felt, I was getting close. A smile played over my face as I tightened my hold on my lovers. “Not yet! Let us try something. Get off me first.” Our positions quickly changed as all four centaurs gathered around the bed. “It’s a bit early to give you the treasure beneath our tails. But we still have a bounty for you.” Four sets of massive tits slicked with saliva and my own prec.u.m wrapped around my member. All four of them began to lick the head of my mushroom.
The temperature was dropping, and I was shivering but at least my member was warm. The ground shook but none of us noticed. I rested my gaze on the four centaurs and listened to the wet smacking sounds of tits. I could feel the chill bumps on them, and the ground shook again. It was here. I thrust upward and Och caught my mushroom in her mouth and sucked hard. It felt like my soul was leaving my body as I shook and felt myself drain away.
White man milk leaked from her lips as she slurped it greedily and swallowed. The other girls looked on jealously. I had no idea why. Maybe it was part of the show. I let out a sigh feeling some relief for once.
As I recovered, I saw something large rise over the mountain. The ground shook again, and scrolls fell off the shelves. Another massive spider leg touched the ground and one of the shelves split in two.
The ground continued to shake as a castle atop a set of eight massive legs descended from the mountain peak. Around it streams of white ants emerged from the various pass around the mountain. My eyes narrowed and zoomed in. Those weren’t ants. They were hundreds of millions of skeletons, ghosts, and zombies. The ground died around them as they drained the spirit energy from the heavens and earth. The air started to freeze with the qi of undeath. The army of the undead had arrived.
From the castle a massive dragon flew. Ice grew from its body from a multitude of obviously fatal wounds. I could see its still unbeating heart from one such wound. As it flew, I could sense its BP and cultivation rank. It was low palace building with a BP of 15b and climbing. As it sucked more spirit energy from the heavens its battle power climbed.
It flew for the city proper high above the wall. My eyes widened; was the wall was useless? Before it crashed a golden dome appeared around the city. It was the talismans; they were attached to the wall in a spell formation. The dragon slammed hard and heavy into the golden dome. Not a crack appeared in the dome and the dragon’s body was shattered and broken. People started to cheer then the dragon self-destructed. A small hole opened in the dome and a small horde of locusts got through.
I pushed my hands together, there was no time and I could at least do this. “Atomic Blast,” I shouted and unleashed a blue beam of energy from the 2nd floor apartment balcony. The locusts lit up like fireflies dying in the hundreds. I held my pose as my mana drained. I held my pose until the hole in the barrier closed. Two more dragons emerged from the tower and flew towards the golden barrier.
