Trope World - Volume 1 Chapter 48 Wight
I awoke in darkness. I hungered for the only thing I knew that could satisfy me. My hands white as a copy paper gripped the earth drawing from the ever-present flow of earth qi. I twisted cracking my neck feeling my body adjust to its new state. I knew that I was the perfect life form or close to it.
“Hello, you’re human but you’re not wearing a collar are you with the monster lords?” A voice said it was sweet and delicate. Hearing it played upon my hunger and my something else. I turned my head cracking my spin feeling it adjust to the incredible pressure my muscles unleashed.
“I’m with no monster lords.” I said tasting the odd nature of my voice. It sounded muffled and rough.
“That’s good, I’m with the retrieval team we could use your help. You’re very handsome stranger.” The voice said. I reached up to feel the long flowing black hair atop my head. It was the peak of perfection silky black, thick, and it looked as if I had just washed it under a waterfall. Hunger struck as I looked at this creature. She was a fair skinned elf with hair blonde as moon beams. I wanted her and I couldn’t have her. I knew without a doubt, I would devour her, and she would be no more. Plucking such beauty felt like a sin. I wanted her for another hunger I had.
I approached her tossing my h.i.p.s back as I walked. My chest had beefed out and my shoulders had become massive. My abs were a work of art. She looked up at me her quant seven feet even nothing to my hulking 9ft. I felt my member stir and the elf blushed. Our skin was almost the same shade of white. Oh, I wanted her for my collection. She would make a fine first addition. I didn’t use domination right then and there for a simple reason. I wanted her to be mine willingly.
“My dear,” I grasped her hand in min much to her shock. She was at core formation and I an upstart pillar formation. Most would never consort with unworthy monsters even those as close to humanity as an elf. My creator had given me many memories. We still shared a connection, but I was no longer a mere clone. I was now his heir, his first child on this world. I was Wight the inheritor of the system, but I wasn’t a clone any longer.
“You may call me Wight. I am the Dao child of the,” I smiled on the inside as I came up with a name that would undoubtedly piss off Melchior my creator. “Twilight Communion Sect, we are a sect not far from here hidden by a curtain of darkness. I was cast out by my own father my sect’s Grand Patriarch. He threw me from our sect and the fall destroyed my cloths. I have nothing left.” I said. I tossed my hair back and let a look of sadness cross my features. It was working, just a little more and she’d invite me back to the black moon sect.
I heard the howl of a monster that none of the clones or my Melchior had fought. A monstrous wolf covered in bone armor with fire in the place of eyes. It gave off the presence of a powerful creature. I’d guess it was around high core level.
“Stand back you’re too weak to fight this and your unarmed. I know humans are foolish and are oft to charge into suicide missions to impress those they love. We just met so don’t throw your life away for me.” The woman shouted. I reached down and scooped her up in my arms. A look of surprise came over her.
“Think of this as a tactical retreat.” I kicked off the ground and flew upward at an incredible speed. I wasn’t Melchior any longer. My mind was different but, the connection was there and stronger than ever since repaired. I felt myself grow stronger as One Against All leveled up. My muscles expanded and shrank, it seemed that I couldn’t break away so easily. If a transformation didn’t work, maybe distance and experience would.
“Hey, don’t go up so high, the dragons will attack anyone flying above the troposphere.” I hit the stratosphere and all around me zombie dragons, wyverns, and gryphons swarmed.
“Where is your village, I’d like to get as far from this war as possible. Its better to come back after some preparation.” I looked over to see my fellow clone. He battled for our creator like a puppet on strings. He didn’t even have a name. There was no individuality. He was blind, deaf, and dumb to our existence.
“Hey, wake up you make some sense. Head south 500,000kilometers and you should hit the edge of the winter Dominion. We should be able to board a train to the capital and request help for the Black Moon Sect.” She said. Then blushed. “I just realized, I haven’t told you my name, its Amelia after a human that saved my grandfathers life.” She said and looked away. It was odd, I’d thought her the stony type from our first encounter.
A dragon bore down on us and I reached out with my hand. From the tip of my finger a highly compressed beam of mana fired out mixed in with qi.
Battle Magic Skill Discovered: Dread Beam lv1; Mana cost 100m; +100INT/WIS
The beam was black and heavy with earth qi. I twitched my finger turning the beam slicing the zombie dragon’s body in two. Green ichor fell out like a waterfall. I used Push and Pull to keep the mess from my perfect form and my treasure. A shy delicate Elf girl was worth more than a billion large spirit stones. From within the dragon a round brown orb dropped away. It was an earth beast core. One that was at least great circle of core formation level. The orb was as large as my head and from what I could sense contained a collection of souls within. I reached out with my left hand and pulled the orb to me. In seconds, I consumed it all. It felt like a drop in the bucket as far as my hunger was concerned. The souls were muted and without value.
“I hope you have a bag of holding on you. We’ll need to save the rest.” I shouted over the roaring wind.
A grin split across my face. With but a finger I Wight slew a dragon. Something my creature hasn’t done. Instead, he raised one.
“Do you really think that’s a feat?” Melchior said in my mind. I struggled as I felt my very soul threatened to rip itself from my body. Was the difference between us so great? I heard a stream of laughter fill my mind. “Don’t worry, you’re more valuable to me doing things than being no more. That Dread beam was interesting. Twilight Communion Sect, really alright oh Dao child, your grand patriarch will take it under consideration. Go ahead and tell everyone who we are. Tell them that white qi or black qi all are welcome. If they pledge themselves to us, they will become members of the Twilight Communion Sect. Now go get out of here, I’ll give you some cover.” My original had done it again, he became even more powerful.
My teeth ground together as I flew south. Then the air quaked as a blast of fire erupted obliterating dragons and griffons alike. Melchior had taken out his bow and was launching eruption arrows into the stratosphere.
“Don’t worry you’re safe with me.” I told her and flew at my max speed using Push and Pull to form a barrier around us. As we gained distance, I began to relax. We were only two cultivators in the middle of a siege. There was no reason to attack us. Just in case I flew above the stratosphere into the mesosphere. I concealed my cultivation base as best I could while flying.
Just as we were about to cross the mountains a powerful beam of death energy erupted upward. I managed to maneuver us out of the way just in time. Only my leg was caught by the blast. My perfect leg was aged to dust and now it was no more than sand. I used all the power I had to push us over the mountain range. Most of my left leg was gone. From the knee down it was no more. My perfect body was flawed now. I was Wight but I wasn’t perfection.
“Hold it together Wight we just need to keep flying. Do you know of a place where we can rest for the night?” I nodded. We weren’t far away from Od Farmstead.
