Twin Soul - Book 3: Chapter 11 (4/11)
Kain didn’t use his Soul Magical Robe during the battle with Noe Clerico because he was relying too much on his Blood Equipment. But because his Magical Storage Ring was given to Finwe to give to Jaane, Kain activated the secret code for his Soul Magical Robe to appear on his body. The robe had six Magical Blood Stones, six Magical Conjurer Stones, and six Magical Black Stones embedded on it. It couldn’t be comparable to the two hundred Blood Equipment Kain had, but it would give him extra benefits in a short battle.
Seeing Kain had a Magical Robe that was embedded with eighteen Magical Elemental Stones didn’t bother Arthur. Arthur pointed his finger at Anwyn and sharply commanded his Soul-bound Creature, “Isia, you handle the Devil Overlord.”
Arthur unlocked his Magical Storage Ring then activated his secret codes allowing his Soul-bound Armor, Soul-bound Shield, and Soul-bound Weapon inside his Storage Ring to automatically appear on his body. Arthur pointed his sword at Kain and said, “I will give you another chance to think this over, Kain. Release Master Clerico’s finger to me so I can let the Holy Mage revive him and you are free to leave this island with your allies.”
Kain shook his head as he said, “Not gonna happen, weakling. Finwe, can you keep Arthur Castillon busy? Anwyn, you can go as wild as you want. I’m sure that Archangel wannabe won’t be strong enough to hold you down. I don’t give a shit if you kill all the world leaders here including those pathetic Demi-Humans.”
Kain turned toward Adrik and Etgar then yelled, “Hurry up and lead your magic casters to leave this island while I alone keep the Mages Council busy.”
Knowing how powerful Kain was, Adrik and Etgar had no problem leaving him alone by himself. If Kain said he alone can keep the Mages Council busy, then he truly meant it.
Adrik turned toward Lucius and asked, “Emperor Acilianus, I know you don’t like the Supreme Leader. But it’s time for you to choose the side that you want to be with. Either us, or the Mages Council. I can’t help but notice you were smiling after the Supreme Leader was killed by Noe Clerico earlier. If you want to escape with us, we can get you, the Prime Minister, the Princess, Kings, and Queens of the Dryardian Empire out of this island safely. However, you must promise to always obey the Supreme Leader and not to betray him anymore.”
Lucius was so happy when he saw Kain became Noe’s minion. Yet after Kain freed himself from Noe’s control and managed to kill him, Lucius knew his fate of serving such a mighty person for eternity was set. Lucius softly answered, “Emperor Volsky, please escort me and other Demi-Humans out of Linkeep Island. I promise to never have ill thoughts about the Supreme Leader again.”
Kain then activated his Twin Soul to create the blonde version of himself that uses Blood Black Magic. The black-hair Kain stayed to fight with Arthur while the blonde-hair Kain, who had already transformed into a flying demon using [Demon Anatomy IV] spell, carried Noe’s finger and flew toward the East.
Arthur activated [Divine Shield] spell then casted [Isolation] spell to teleport Kain and himself to an isolated world that was created by him. In just a blink of an eye, Kain was already at another place where no one else was nearby except for Arthur.
Looking at the empty desert, Kain smiled and said, “Mind game? It wouldn’t work on me, weakling.” Kain then closed his eyes and focused his mind before opening it again just to see he was still standing in the empty desert. Kain slapped his face and refocused but continued finding himself standing still at the same location.
Seeing Kain thought that he had fallen into a mind-controlling spell, Arthur shook his head and said, “This isn’t a world inside your head, but a real-world created by my Creation Magic. You are being isolated from the realm of Toria Continents. I have created this world and set the rules for battle here. It doesn’t matter who you are or how strong you are, the rules will be applied to you with no way to avoid it.”
“Oh? What kind of rules is that?” Kain curiously asked.
“A physical strength fight to the death between you and I, no magic. Even if we fight for a hundred thousand years in here, it will only be one second in Toria Continents. Kain, I’m giving you another chance to surrender to me by giving me back Lord Clerico’s finger.”
“Or what?” Kain mockingly asked while smirking.
“Or I will be forced to kill you. The only way for you to get out of this world is either through my banishment or by killing me.”
“Weakling, what gave you such confidence that you can kill me? As I have said before. You can never defeat me.”
“We will have to see about that.”
Flexing his Vampire Emperor’s Wings, Kain attempted to cast [Abyssal Flesh] spell to enhance his physical strength to be stronger but couldn’t. Kain couldn’t feel his [Second Soul] anymore and that was why he couldn’t just deactivate [Second Soul] ability to escape from this world.
Kain attempted to ask for help from Watcher Tykan as he thought, “Watcher Tykan, how do I get out of here without defeating Arthur?” Watcher Tykan should be able to read Kain’s mind at all times. He helped Kain kill Noe Clerico. He would have an idea to help Kain from escaping this world without killing Arthur. Notwithstanding, there was no answer from Watcher Tykan. Kain quickly realized he was truly isolated from everyone else, including Watcher Tykan.
Kain squeezed his eyebrows and thought to himself, “If it was true that I can’t use magic, then my Soul Magical Robe is useless. Will the same rule should be applied to Arthur as well? If not, then defeating him would be a difficulty. Regardless, I will kill him and allow his Holy Mage to resurrect him later.”
Arthur could guess what Kain was thinking and said, “Kain, I won’t lie to you. The same rules that I set for this world will be applied to everyone that is locked inside it including myself. That was why I told you this will be a physical strength battle between you and me. If you can kill me, then this world would collapse and you will be teleported back to Toria Continents. If either one of us dies here, then the same effect will apply in Toria Continents as well.”
“Does that mean if you die here, then you will also die in Toria Continents?”
“Correct.”
After saying so, Arthur turned the empty desert into a forest where mountains and plenty of trees could be seen hundreds of miles away. Arthur said, “I wanted this battle to be fair for you. That is why I created this forest so you can have a chance to evade my attacks better. You can even hide from me if needed.”
Kain smirked and stated, “Me? Hiding from you? Such comedy!”
