Twin Soul - Book 3: Chapter 12 (12/12)
Hagar crushed through the defense line of the Mages Council while Adrik Volsky and Etgar Revenmar stood by watching. No Rogue Mages or Blood Mages dare to join the battle against the Mages Council in fear of being accidentally killed by the Diamond Skeleton; that was why they focused on pushing back the advancement of the massive armies of Arthur’s creatures. After Adrik saw Gwenn casted [Sealed Divine Throne] spell, he decided to attack the Saint-tier Light Mages surrounded Gwenn by himself. Adrik didn’t know what or how the [Sealed Divine Throne] spell works, but he doesn’t want Gwenn to have any chance of turning the tide of battle. Etgar saw Adrik focus his attack against Gwenn, he then broke free from fighting with his Blood Mages against Arthur’s creatures to help Adrik in attacking Gwenn as well.
“[Divine Judgement] – God Smite.” Gwenn shouted as she activated the first effect of the [Sealed Divine Throne] spell.
Light Magic naturally has a better effect when being casted on Skeleton Creatures. [Holy Smite] spell casted by a level 100 Light Mage can easily force a level 100 Golden Skeleton Mage or Eleventh Stage Saint Skeleton Warrior to be on its knees and continuously receive burning damages until its bone burns to ashes. [Circle of Protection] and [Holy Aura] spells normally can protect the Saint Light Mage from being attacked by multiple Golden Skeleton Warriors / Mages at the same time. But after seeing how the Diamond Skeleton could easily crush through the defense line of the Mages Council, Gwenn knew all of her Light Magic spells would be useless against Hagar. That was why she had to use [Sealed Divine Throne] even though it is a double edge magic spell that can kill her before she managed to eliminate the targeted enemy.
[Divine Judgement] – God Smite is equally strong compared to [Holy Smite] spell that casted by a God-tier Light Mage. Similar to [Holy Smite], [Divine Judgement] – God Smite won’t miss its target regardless of how fast the targeted enemy would be.
A bright beam from the sky shines directly on Hagar and he felt like his arms and legs were shackled the moment [Divine Judgement] – God Smite hit him. Hagar grabbed some air nearby to enhance his physical strength but he felt like his arms and legs were shackled tighter and tighter to a point that he couldn’t move and was forced to kneel on the ground. Hagar could feel his back was burning but the damage wasn’t worth mentioning because it would take hours for that kind of burning damage to break through the natural defense of his diamond bones. Didn’t know what magic spell Gwenn had casted that could be powerful enough to force him to kneel on the ground, but Hagar knew his time was precious and he couldn’t waste it by kneeling. Hagar inhaled a large chunk of air to massively enhance his bones to be at least five times bigger. The moment Hagar could get up on the ground, he intended to sprint toward Gwenn but noticed he could barely move. Hagar squeezed his right fist tightly and threw a punch into the air toward the direction of Gwenn Bigham, creating a powerful wind force that should be strong enough to cause injury to any level 100 Light Mage.
“[Divine Judgement] – God Aura.” Gwenn shouted as she activated the second effect of the [Sealed Divine Throne] spell.
The bright aura from the throne chair Gwenn was sitting on quickly spread to five hundred thousand square feet. Similar to [Holy Aura] spell of level 45 Light Magic, [Divine Judgement] – God Aura also protects an area that could prevent enemies/allies from coming in/out without authorization but it has a greater radius and is much tougher.
The powerful wind force Hagar created using his punch was blocked by Gwenn’s [Divine Judgement] – God Aura. If Hagar was able to move at full speed, he could have easily broken through the God Aura. But because Hagar could barely walk, he had to continuously throw out punches from far away to create powerful wind forces toward the God Aura, hoping to break through it. Not just Hagar, but Adrik and Etgar couldn’t enter or break through the God Aura despite how many powerful magic spells they have casted toward it.
Gwenn quickly glanced at Hagar then turned her eyes toward Anwyn and said, “Now that Diamond Skeleton won’t be a problem for me for a while, my next Divine Judgement will be toward the Devil Overlord. My Sixteen Wings Angel Battlemage will take that opportunity to rescue Lord Clerico. Solo-Executioners be prepared to fight against the Magical Staff of the Devil Overlord that kept flying near Lord Noe Clerico. If I’m not mistaken, that Magical Staff can act by itself and cast magic spells without the need for control of the Devil Overlord.”
After telling the Solo-Executioners to be prepared, Gwenn activated the third and also the last effect of the [Sealed Divine Throne], “[Divine Judgement] – God Avatar.”
Another bright light was similar to the one that forced Hagar to kneel on the ground earlier but this time it was projected from Gwenn toward Anwyn at lightning speed that hit Anwyn in an instant. The moment the bright light hit Anwyn, a phantom version of Gwenn appeared, having a pair of large Angel Wings that were even bigger compared to Archangel Wings. Phantom Gwenn was carrying a greatsword that kept releasing some kind of holy aura of itself. That phantom version of Gwenn quickly strikes her greatsword at Anwyn and successfully hits Anwyn on the head. Anwyn could have dodged that attack, but she chooses to receive it to see how strong that attack would be. The result didn’t disappoint Anwyn as Gwenn’s greatsword broke through her natural high physical defense and caused a minor scratch on her forehead.
Anwyn smiled in satisfaction and said, “Not bad… “
Anwyn created a fiery greatsword on her hands then started fighting back with the phantom Gwenn. Their fight lasted for only six seconds before the phantom Gwenn faded away. Anwyn looked toward the [Sealed Divine Throne] where Gwenn was sitting and saw she was impaled by a large stone spear that grew out from the ground. Not just her, but all the Members of the White inside [Divine Judgement] – God Aura were killed by being impaled by large stone spears that grew out from the ground. The large stone spears that grew out from the ground were created by [Transpierce], a Saint-tier Earth Magic spell that Lord Kath Donoghan of the Brown who casted had created to kill Gwenn and the Light Mages that were actively focused on casting [Major Healing] spells on Gwenn. At the time Gwenn activated [Divine Judgement] – God Aura, she only set to prevent the enemies from coming in and out but didn’t think about anyone from the Mages Council would have betrayed her.
Gwenn suddenly remembered Noe once told her to be careful of Kath Donoghan. Gwenn shook her head and shamefully said, “I have my guard on for the one who protected me and letting my guard down for the one that betrayed me…” Before Gwenn could finish saying some rubbish, Another large stone spear grew out from the ground and hit and destroyed Gwenn’s head which killed her in an instant.
