Twin Soul - Book 4: Chapter 12
Noe Clerico activated the [Soul Bridge] technique using a large chunk of his mana pool to conjure Gisella Renzo back to Toria Continents. He turned to look at Gisella and all of his eighteen minions then coolly said, “Rescue Gwenn Bigham and bring her to safety.”
Hagar Bersk was strong enough to prevent any of Noe’s minions from being able to rescue Gwenn Bigham. But Gisella is a God-tier Ice Mage and fighting against her required Hagar to put all of his focus. That was why Hagar revealed his last secret power by using all the imprisoned souls of the Mages Council’s Champions that he collected earlier today. Thirty-six Champions appeared in phantom modes as they started casting their most powerful self-created Saint-tier magic spells toward Noe’s eighteen minions.
Noe was surprised at first but he quickly calmed his mind and asked Hagar, “What did you do to them?”
Hagar and Gisella have already started fighting against each other and he had no interest in explaining to Noe anyway. Saint Michael was still defending against the robust Fire Magic spells from Anwyn, he smirked and said, “It was just a simple trick Watcher Tykan awarded him. He had a Soul Key that can imprison the souls of weakened magic casters and temporarily use them in battle. They will be forced to obey him until their souls regain enough strength to break out of the mental prison. Oh… one more thing. Their souls will be permanently destroyed if they die while being imprisoned by the Soul Key.”
After hearing what Saint Michael explained, Noe didn’t care much about the Champions’ souls and decided to have his minions continue fighting with the Champions’ souls. He didn’t like them ever since he became the Lord of the Gray and always thought the Champions Division was a waste of the Mages Council’s finance and training resources. Noe scanned his eyes around Linkeep Island trying to find a way of rescuing Gwenn before the times ran out. Adrik Volsky and Kath Donoghan would definitely want to destroy Gwenn’s corpse to prevent her from being able to receive [Resurrection]. The useless Lords of Colors and their servants were still struggling against the Rogue Mages and the Blood Mages. Arthur Castillon and Isia were fighting equally with Devil-Kain and Finwe. Vampire-Kain appeared to be busy protecting Jaane so Noe didn’t have to worry much about him.
While Noe was still thinking of a good way to rescue Gwenn, Saint Michael said using a jocular tone, “Why do you appear to be so worrying? All you have to do is beg me, Noe Clerico. My Archangels will appear to help you clean this mess.”
“You shut your mouth!” Noe angrily yelled.
The corner of Noe’s eyes quickly caught the shadow of Adrik flying toward Gwenn’s corpse while carrying Kath. Needless to say, Noe quickly understood Adrik and Kath must have taken this chance to destroy Gwenn’s corpse. Noe thought to himself, “Looks like I have no other option!”
Noe had already finished chanting for [Raise Dead] spell but didn’t want to use it on Gwenn unless he had no other option. The moment Noe cast [Raise Dead] spell on Gwenn, she would forever become his minion and lose the ability to ever become human again. Unlike Kain who drank a Life Potion and restored his human self after becoming Noe’s minion, Gwenn never had a chance of seeing a Life Potion in her life. But before Noe could cast [Raise Dead] spell on Gwenn, an angel that had a big pair of Angel Wings on his back appeared next to Gwenn’s corpse and casted [Dispel Magic] spell toward Adrik. Adrik’s [Ice Wings] spell was immediately dispelled, forcing him and Kath to start to fall on the ground. While Adrik still couldn’t believe an angel could easily dispel his [Ice Wings] spell, Kath casted [Stone Skin] spells on Adrik and herself to prevent them from being injured from falling two hundred feet above the ground.
Noe’s eyes opened widely as he immediately recognized the angel that just appeared next to Gwenn’s corpse. He was the one that destroyed the soul of his mother, Darla Welfer, and Noe has been looking to retaliate against that angel but couldn’t find him in the Heaven Realm including other planets in the lower realms until now.
“Micah, you shouldn’t appear until he begs me to help him.” Saint Michael said using a displeased tone.
“My apology, Saint Michael. But he was about to turn Holy Mage Gwenn Bigham into one of his minions. I don’t think Watcher Zorim would be okay with that.” The angel has a big pair of angel wings said using a respectful tone.
“Micah? His name is Micah? I see… I am such an idiot. Now I see why I couldn’t find him anywhere before. He is a part of Michael. To be exact, he is a projection of Michael. So it was you overall, Michael!” Noe thought to himself as he started to assemble all of his minions including Gisella Renzo back to his location then angrily turned his stare toward Saint Michael.
Noe studied about Micah when he first gained access to the Mages Council’s library after joining the Gray. He always thought Micah was just one of Michael’s avatars. Noe studied and knew that Saint Michael could create up to four avatars at the same time and sent them to fight against his enemies. Those avatars work similar to [Replica] spell of Wind Magic but killing the avatars wouldn’t cause any damage to Saint Michael. Another difference was creating avatars wouldn’t cost Saint Michael any energy source such as mana or stamina. However, Saint Michael could only create an avatar every fifteen minutes which meant if he creates four avatars at the same time then it would take him another hour to be able to create four avatars at the same time again.
While evilly staring at Saint Michael, Noe asked using an overcome tone, “To truly kill Micah, you are the one that I needed to execute. Am I right, Michael?”
Saint Michael chuckled as he said, “Kill me? Hehe… That was a funny joke. I am so jealous of you humans sometimes. You can have goals and dreams of achieving the impossible because of how narrow the tunnel visions you all have. Noe Clerico… It is impossible to be killed. I was created by The Creator using his own image. Don’t you understand what it means? Have you ever wanted to know what The Creator looks like? Me. The Creator created me to be perfect in every way you human can’t ever possibly be.”
“The Creator may have created you in his image and made you perfect in every way, but I am the one who will defy even The Creator!” Noe angrily shouted as he casted [Conjure Wind Walker] spell twenty times to conjure twenty Wind Walkers.
The Wind Walkers immediately casted the [Wind Walk] spell on Noe and the minions who couldn’t fly, allowing him to be able to fly together with Gisella and his eighteen minions toward Saint Michael to attack him.
“Anwyn, stay back and let them fight.” Kain advised Anwyn telepathically using the permanent abyss link that was chained between them.
“This is my fight!” Anwyn fiercely answered telepathically as she continued fighting with Saint Michael.
Saint Michael raised both of his arms then released a giant explosive light aura that pushed everyone back including Anwyn Richir as he laughed and stated, “Come on out, my Archangels…”
Few seconds after the giant explosive light aura faded away, a massive colossus portal was opened high in the sky that could be seen by everyone in Toria Continents. Eight powerful Archangels under the command of Saint Archangel Michael started flying through the portal into Toria Continents from the Heaven Realm. Archangel Raphael (male), Archangel Gabriel (male), Archangel Jophiel (female), Archangel Ariel (female), Archangel Azrael (female), Archangel Chamuel (male), Archangel Zerachiel (male), and the strongest of them all, Archangel Seraphiel, the male Archangel who Noe Clerico thought was a female Archangel. Each Archangel led a hundred Sixteen Wings Angel Warriors, twenty Sixteen Wings Angel Battlemages, and countless Angel Warriors and Angel Battlemages mixed with all types flew through the massive colossus portal.
Noe, Kain, Arthur, Anwyn, Finwe, Isia, Etgar, Adrik, Kath, and everyone else who were present in Linkeep Island were speechless seeing as many angels at once. The good thing was that those angels could fly or they would be heavy enough to sink Linkeep Island just by standing on it.
