Twin Soul - Book 4: Chapter 5
Six seconds later, Hagar blocked another left-hand punch using his greatsword then used his left knee to block Noe’s right leg kick at the same time. The greatsword in Hagar’s hands then disappeared and two daggers appeared in an instant to replace the greatsword. Hagar then used both of the daggers to furiously strike toward Noe, forcing him to dodge by moving backward. Hagar continued to strike, slashes, and swings at full force. Hagar’s attack speed increased faster and faster until he finally landed one successful knife slash into Noe’s left leg, creating a minor injury that caused some bleeding. Noe shook his head in disappointment because Hagar still failed to cut off Noe’s leg when he had a chance. Noe smirked while activating Vitality to gather the surrounding air to heal the injured leg as he started fighting back against Hagar. Hagar refused to go on the defensive and continued with the offense. Hagar appeared to be a little bit stronger and faster compared to Noe, but the ability to heal himself without using mana or stamina allowed Noe to definitely outlast Hagar in the long fight.
While Noe was having his guard up toward Hagar, a gigantic shockwave in the shape of a half-moon that was not much smaller compared to the colossal fireball of Anwyn appeared behind him at close range. By the time Noe noticed and turned around, the shock wave crashed through Noe, leaving him stunned and critically injured. Hagar took that opportunity to deliver thirty-eight knife slashes all over Noe’s body and killed him. It was Finwe who activated [Mana Infusion] technique and casted [Moon Wave] spell toward Noe while he was being invisible using [Invisibility Cloak] spell to completely cloak his presence. After the [Moon Wave] spell was casted, Finwe’s location was revealed again, and a big javelin that kept on releasing a strong white energy aura crushed through Finwe’s back. That big javelin was convoked by Isia using [Sacred Javelin], one of the spells Isia can use after being transformed into an Archangel using [Avatar of Archangel] spell.
Finwe was locking Isia inside his [Duplicity] spell. But when he heard Kain was describing the fight between Noe and Hagar using telepathic communication. Finwe released Isia from [Duplicity] and quickly seized the opportunity he had to kill Noe using [Moon Wave] spell after [Mana Infusion] was activated. Isia was confused for two seconds after Finwe released her from his [Duplicity] due to the fighting scene between both of them have slightly changed. However, Isia snapped out of her confused status after noticing that she wasn’t really fighting with Finwe because it was all just an illusion. Isia angrily casted [Sacred Javelin] spell and started scanning around looking for Finwe. Immediately after Finwe’s location was revealed, Isia set the target locked for the [Sacred Javelin] to aim for Finwe and then release it. The Sacred Javelin traveled at lightning speed which immediately penetrated through Finwe and killed him in less than a second.
Even when Noe didn’t think anyone including Hagar was strong enough to kill him while his Awakened Monk Warrior specialization was activated, Noe refused to let himself truly be killed again. Kain managed to kill Noe before because he was letting his guard down. A situation like that shall never occur again. That was why Noe activated [Second Life] when he was fighting with Hagar Bersk regardless that he believed there was no way Hagar could have killed him. After he was killed by Finwe’s [Moon Wave], Noe’s [Second Life] spell came into effect and he was revived with a full mana pool but remained heavily injured. About Finwe, all Kain had to do was conjure him back using the [Conjure Finwe] spell since Finwe was just one of his conjurable creatures. Kain was using his Soul-bound Diamond Magical Ice Spear to slowly regenerate his mana pool, so conjuring Finwe back to the battlefield every once in a while didn’t really worry Kain much.
What Finwe did seemed like nothing helpful because Noe didn’t really die. But that prevents Noe from using his Awakened Monk Warrior specialization again until the next day and that would tremendously lower Noe’s physical strength back to just a regular Eleventh Stage Saint Monk Warrior. Still being critically injured, Noe opened two Dark Vortexes allowing eighteen powerful minions that were locked inside to come out.
Noe angrily stared at Kain, Hagar, Finwe, and said, “Kain Bersk, I gave you a chance to serve me but you dare to refuse. Very well… All of you will die then!”
Noe looked toward Saint Michael who was still playing with Anwyn Richir and stated, “Get out of my realm before you anger me any further. This is my battle. I am the protector of this realm. Your presence is greatly not needed.”
Saint Michael dodged several Fire Magic spells casted toward him by Anwyn. He then smiled and mockingly responded to Noe, “You don’t seem to be able to protect it well. There is a reason why Watcher Zorim sent me and you shouldn’t disagree with her.”
“Reason? It doesn’t matter whatever reason that is. Watcher Zorim is wrong. I don’t need you. Begone!”
“I can easily end this battle by summoning all of my Archangels. Their underlings alone will be enough to wipe all the trash off this planet.”
“Don’t you do it! You never cared about any human life before. Didn’t you say humans were created for your amusement? Keep it that way.”
“I could care less about what is going to happen to this planet or the pathetic humans that are living on it. If it wasn’t because Watcher Zorim asked me to come here-”
“Stop spitting shit and begone! I don’t have all day to bullshit with you.”
Saint Michael could feel that the hatred Noe had toward him didn’t reduce despite the issue between them having occurred more than a million years ago. Saint Michael wanted to better observe Noe’s angry reaction. He sent out one of his avatars to temporarily fight back Anwyn as he continued mocking Noe.
Michael smiled in satisfaction and asked, “Noe Clerico, it has been too long already. How come you still can’t let it go? I mean… if you think carefully about it. I am your savior. You shouldn’t be mad at me. I have saved you before. I am here to save you again. You should at least show me some gratitude. How about bowing at me at least three times?”
“Savior? If you dare to call yourself my savior again then I will destroy Heaven Realm! Either you leave now or I will remove you from this realm by force.” Noe angrily stated while grinding his teeth.
“Watcher Zorim requested for me to be here. You don’t have to remove me by force because I will leave after saving you once again.”
“By staying here you have declared war against me. I have been avoiding you every time I went to the Heaven Realm in the past. The next time I visit Heaven it will also be the last time you exist in the lower realms.”
“Woo… sounded very serious. Speaking to your savior that way will anger your dead parents. What would your mother think if she knew you had turned out to be so disrespectful toward the person who saved you?”
“Damn you! I will slay you!”
“I’m looking forward to it.” Saint Michael smiled as he mocked Noe again while Anwyn destroyed his avatar and flew toward him.
