Twisted Love - Chapter 62 The City Of Love 3
The process of walking to the washroom was completed in silence. The washroom was located right behind the wall where the TV was mounted.
The interior was no different than the open she had at home. It was nothing like the washrooms in planes, small and cramped. It was huge. It was a proper bathroom with a toilet, a sink and a bathing area. The most surprising thing in the washroom was huge bathtub but the rainfall shower. It was those showers where the water came right from on top of the person. ‘Is this how the rich live?’ Sofia wondered in wonder. This was all super new to her as even Johnathan did not have this shower in his room.
Quickly getting freshened up, Sofia got out of the room. The longer she stayed inside the more she wanted to try it out and that was not something she wanted to do when her boss was waiting outside to eat dinner.
Sofia walked to the dinning table and saw Vincent had moved to the other side of the table and his back was now towards her. Before she had left the room he was still facing the TV lounge while he worked and now his old spot had his documents and only his documents.
The table was set for two and her seat was on his right side. Sitting down on her chair, Sofia gave a quick “Hello” to Vincent not knowing what else to say.
They began to eat the food on the table in silence. The food was nothing less than what they ate normally. There was a medium sized steak cooked medium well done with mashed potatoes and, boiled and sautd vegetables on the side. Vincent had a cup of wine with his dinner while Sofia just had grape juice.
Half way through dinner, Vincent began a conversation with Sofia while still eating his food elegantly.
“So what are your plans for Sunday?”
Looking up startled Sofia quickly answered with food still in her mouth. “I will spend it with Ben.”
“So do you plan on getting off work on Saturday night or Sunday morning?” Vincent asked with a straight face and a monotone.
“I don’t know. Jasmine was telling me to meet him the night before his birthday so I could be the first one to congratulate him and give him his present, but I’m still unsure.” looking at Vincent Sofia continued in confusion, “What do you think I should do? Should I go on Saturday night or on Sunday itself?”
Looking at Sofia in silence for a minute Vincent let out a deep sigh and answered, “If I was Ben I would have liked for my fiance to be the first person to wish me Happy birthday.”
Sofia was surprised by Vincent straight answer. She had just asked him out of courtesy and was not expecting an advice, a good one at that.
Giving a bright smile to Vincent, Sofia expressed her gratitude, “Thank you. You made my decision so much easier. Having a guys opinion on was is good. Now I know Ben will be happy if I surprise him tomorrow night.”
In amusement, Vincent asked, “So what is your plan for his surprise?”
