Two Contracts – My Lover Is A CEO - Chapter 277
Yang Chún qiàn looked up to say something but when she saw that he had pointed the gun at her, she started sweating in fear. Her throat went dry and she felt as though she had no escape.
“Yang Xinyu, will you kill your own mother? What kind of a filial child are you? It seems your wife has made you as rowdy as she is? Well, what can you expect out of her lowly birth?” she said trying to buy time. She thought that she would be able to convince him by telling negative about his wife. Just to prove her wrong, he wouldn’t shoot her.
“You would have been saved if Wu Lina would have been here. But unfortunately she isn’t. So save those words,” he said hatred emanating from his face.
“I had no intentions of murdering you, Yang Xinyu,” she asserted again.
“In that case tell me everything. I may give you a chance to live.”
Yang Chún qiàn breathed in and started speaking, “When I was admitted to the hospital, I saw on the news that your father had toppled the existing mayor and he had become the mayor. After that I also listened to the rumors that Wu Lina had been abducted. But I was surprised to hear that you had gone to search for her.”
“What was so surprising? She is my wife and I will go to the hell if need be to get her back from there. But who gave you the information that she was abducted?” asked Yang Xinyu, slightly amused.
“One of the underground mafia…”
“Hmm… I am impressed.”
Yang Chún qiàn continued, “Your father or you, none of you would come to visit me, so the security guards that were stationed around my room in the hospital became relaxed. That helped me a lot as I could go out of the room. I even met some of my relatives. During one of my visits, I met Mr. Wan. I talked to him and we became friends. I realized that he could be used to get my position back. When I told him what I wanted, he came up with the plan. I just followed his plan.”
“So you blindly followed the plan out of your greed? Don’t you realize that you were dealing with your son?”
Yang Chún qiàn lowered her head and said, “I thought your loved me a lot…”
“Yes, I love-d you. But now I don’t feel anything for you.”
It was already half past six by then and she thought that the servants would come by then. She had to buy time.
“When I asked you to let me go to my ancestral house, you allowed me, which was the best part, since it was most important that you let me go. Only then the next part of the plan could be executed.”
“Mr. Wan had hidden in the basement and was being served by his men. I would go in between and fill him with the details.”
“Haha. Mr. Wan! That fat stinky fellow didn’t know that he was dealing with me! How could you rely so much on a person like him?”
“But how did you know about the plan?” she asked.
The smell of blood was really getting to her head. She wanted to go out of the room. “Please let’s get out of this room,” she said appearing faint-ish.
“Okay…” Yang Xinyu opened the door and said, “After you.”
She walked out and started going down the stairs hoping to see the servants.
When Yang Xinyu saw her looking around, he said, “Mother, the servants won’t come today.”
She stopped on the stair and took a sharp turn to look at him with questioning eyes.
“Don’t look so surprised. Couldn’t I take care of such a small thing now that you have seen that I am alive?” he asked with a smile.
Now she really broke into sweat. There was nothing she could think of. All her cards had fallen one by one.
When they reached the last stair, Yang Xinyu asked, “Mother, I am hungry. Could you prepare an omelet for me?”
Yang Chún qiàn nodded and turned towards the kitchen. While she was preparing omelet, Yang Xinyu was staring at her, and she was aware of his stare. She served the omelet in a plate with two slices of bread and said with a smile, “Here you go Xinyu.” Was this the last goodbye?
Yang Xinyu sighed and sat on the table to eat it. After having a mouthful he said, “Mother I came to know about you and Mr. Wan even before I had come to visit you in the hospital.”
Her eyes became wide with surprise.
Yang Xinyu continued eating. He pointed the fork at her and said, “I played with you all along. The moment I came to know about Mr. Wan, he was nothing but a pawn in my game of chess against you.”
