Two Contracts – My Lover is a CEO - Chapter 302
“I don’t care! I don’t want to see him. Also you will not pass Epic Entertainment under him. I want a court order that tells that he cannot anywhere near me in a radius of five kilometers,” she continued protesting.
Yang Xinyu found it so unreasonable but he was expecting that outburst. When he heard that Vladimir was the person who had purchased the shares at a higher price, he was also very perturbed. However, he could do little because with so much at stake, he also had to see his company’s benefit.
“Wu Lina, we have to be very contained and calm in this situation. Let us not get driven by our emotions. We have to sit down and watch for a while,” said Yang Xinyu keeping his hands on her shoulders. “I am there, okay?”
Wu Lina wasn’t able to calm her nerves. Yang Xinyu asked her to go home and wait for him until the evening. Wu Lina refused, “No, I will not go to home. I want to talk to Vladimir before I leave. I will make sure that he sells those shares back to us and leave the company and the town for good!”
“No, no! You will not talk to him. Please wait for me until the evening. Why don’t you listen to me for once?” replied Yang Xinyu getting irritated by her.
Wu Lina looked at him and said, “Do you realize how anxious I have become ever since I saw him? Only time will heal all that he had done to me. I hate that man!”
“Yes, I know he had been very cruel. But for now go home, please,” requested Yang Xinyu again.
Wu Lina looked away, her tears were right there and they came out at her helplessness. Yang Xinyu understood. He came behind her, gave her a back hug and said “Don’t cry. Please trust me.”
Wu Lina cried softly, as she leaned her face on his arms and wet his shirtsleeve.
Fifteen minutes later when she felt okay, she left the office to go home. On way she called her father-in-law, “Father, can we talk?”
“Yes Wu Lina, I heard about Vladimir Yankov,” he said.
“Father, I don’t want him anywhere near us. Please do something about it. I loathe that man. How dare he comes to City H to hound us again?”
The mayor sighed and replied, “Wu Lina, I will talk to Yang Xinyu. But I don’t want you to worry about it at all, okay? You are in your last month of pregnancy and it is important that you relax.”
“I will relax only when Vladimir is sent back from here!” she almost shouted tears filling her eyes again.
“Okay, child. I will talk to Yang Xinyu and let us meet in the evening,” the mayor assured her.
“Okay…” she ended the call.
Vladimir was one person she didn’t want to see even if he was the last man on the earth. She didn’t even accept him as her father anymore although officially her name was Lina Yankova.
She reached home and went to the bathroom to take a shower to cool down her anxieties.
She waited for the evening – it was a long day for her…
Yang Xinyu came home early and so did the mayor. Over tea, Wu Lina expressed her worries again, “Father, please ask Yang Xinyu to remove that man from the company.”
The mayor laughed softly and said, “Wu Lina, it is not easy. Let’s see.”
Yang Xinyu spoke calmly, “Wu Lina, your father-”
“Don’t call him my father!” she retorted.
Yang Xinyu sighed, and said, “Okay… I had obtained the information that Vladimir had bought our shares from Yang Fangxu and the other board member, a few days back.”
“What? Then why didn’t you tell me?” Wu Lina yelled at him.
“Wu Lina, calm down and let me finish,” he replied strictly.
Wu Lina got a little scared and became quiet.
“I had kept my eyes on him ever since and wanted to investigate if he was coercing other members to share their shares. However, none of this happened. We all know about Yang Fangxu that she needed to sell the shares because of her startup. But we didn’t know that the other board member was actually doing so only to harm our company?
The mayor’s eyes narrowed as he listened to Yang Xinyu. “How can that be Yang Xinyu?”
Yang Xinyu shrugged and said, “Apparently he was in need of large amount of cash, as he had gambled and lost a lot. He had sold most of his assets to meet the debts. Unfortunately, he thought that after selling all his shares, he would be able to win and get his money back. That didn’t happen. In the end, he lost all the money. Then he started instigating other members to sell their shares to Vladimir by becoming their middleman. But it seems that none other members fell into his trap.”
“When did this happen?” asked Yang Min-Chang.
“It happened last month.”
