Uchiha’s Butterfly - Volume 3 Chapter 75 Six Corpses
“Come, we need you inside!” Ao shouted at Kaname, tugging her arm, he led her and Team 7 inside the tent.
Entering the medic tent, Kaname noticed Mei on the operation table with heavily bleeding wounds, and three standing above her white-clothed individuals debating about what to do.
“Who is she, sensei?” Izumi asked, quickly tieing her hair in a ponytail.
“Our employer. Let’s get to work. Boil me a bowl of water, Izumi-chan. Torune-kun, Koji-kun, no one enters the tent until I say so. Ao-san out.”
“Yes, Sensei!” the trio chorused.
“*Grumble*.”
“Who are you?!” one of the medics shouted at Kaname, looking at her as she was walking next to the operating table.
“Your new boss.” With already standard trick with glowing red eyes, she instantly silenced the opposition, ” I will stop the bleeding – I want you to prepare some blood for transfusion. What are you all looking at?! Get to work!” Kaname ordered, quickly taking control of the situation.
“You!” Kaname pointed at the woman just waiting at the head of the table, “Was the patient poisoned, what are the results of the primary survey?”
“Primary survey?” the woman asked stupidly.
“*Sigh* Whatever, I will examine Mei myself…” Kaname replied as she was putting on her white coat outfit.
————
“How is she?” Ao called out the first moment Kaname walked out of the tent.
“She will live, but she needs to rest for a week or two. What happened out there?”
“We were ambushed… Mangetsu sacrificed himself to let me and Mei-sama flee further towards the base. Stupid boy, he went alone against five other ninja swordsmen while leaving his sword with us.” Ao explained, shrugging his shoulders.
“*Sigh* I guess he expected to die when he covered your asses. You should be grateful for his sacrifice, moron. Whatever, Mei will most likely speak some sense into you-” she retorted back.
“Urgent news! Is Mei-sama available?” One of the Anbu flickered towards the duo.
“She is not. Speak.” Ao commanded.
After a little consideration, the Anbu recognized Ao as a second in command. “The Jgo Clan is being slaughtered by Mizukage’s Forces. They won’t hold out for long.”
“Damnit, without her, we won’t stand a chance.” the blue-haired man bit his thumbnail in a thought of his next step.
“What are you talking about, Ao-san? From what I saw so far, you have a considerable army stationing here. Just rally up and march out.”
“It’s not so easy, Kaname-san. We’re just hotchpotch of many Kekkei Genkai users. With decades of animosity between the clans, the rebel army is more likely to fight itself rather than their enemy. It was only thanks to Mei-sama that those people stood side-by-side.” Ao explained.
“Sensei, we can go!” Koji exclaimed loudly.
“*Sigh* You are not ready. It’s a frontline, Koji-kun. I don’t want anyone of you there. Ao-san, what about Anbu units, I see you have some of them?” Kaname asked back, seeing Koji return to Torune’s side.
“Not enough to fight an army.”
Torune walked to her, “Sensei, I concur with Sarutobi-san. We’re the best bet for this mission. It would be prudent if Team 7 started the extraction of Jgo clan members, while you hold the army at bay.”
“*Cough-cough* Hold the army at bay? Alone?! Impossible!” Ao shouted, pointing his finger at the boy.
“Ao-san, you should never underestimate an Uchiha. Are you guys sure of it? I want to protect you from the war – it’s not pretty.”
“Yes, Sensei. We are chnin already. We ought to receive the experience on the frontlines, who knows when the next war will loom over our lives.”
“…” Kaname lightly squinted her eyes, looking at the boy, making sure he was determined, she sighed out. “Ao-san, I will take my team there, can you give us a guide?”
“You Konoha’s Shinobi are insane!… Whatever, it’s your asses that are in danger, not mine. I will get someone well versed in our lands.”
“Koji-kun, get Izumi-chan here.” Kaname pointed at the medic tent.
Five minutes later, they jumped out of the rebel camp. By the lead of a cute eleven-year-old boy, named Chjr, the team headed north.
“Before we start, I need to say something to all of you. We ninjas have a hidden beast inside of us, and the war allows it out. Whatever you see out there, remember who you are. Don’t lose yourself in the brutality and gore. After today’s events, I will have a talk with each of you. Is that understood?”
“Yes, Sensei!” her team replied as one.
Even before they saw the combat zone, there was a pillar of dark smoke soaring from somewhere behind the forest.
“Chjr-chan thanks, we will manage ourselves from here, you can return to the base. Prepare them to be ready for an influx of immigrants.”
“You’re welcome, Kaname-sama. If it’s true that you saved Mei-sama’s life, then it’s the tiniest thing I could do to repay you.” the boy replied humbly, bowing his head her way. Turning on his heel, he jumped back south.
Scouting the small village of Jgo Clan, Kaname noticed that it was encircled by an army of ninjas, congregating mostly on its four entrances. The village’s wooden houses were on fire as villagers tried to run out of the village’s walls, the army members caught and slaughtered them.
“Okay, here is the plan. I will create three clones, with them, I will cover each entrance. It should pull most of those assholes’ attention on me. Opening an entrance, I want you to enter the village, douse the flames, and prepare them for an organized evacuation. Panic would only make them an easy target for enemies. There are likely some infiltrators inside the village – If you ever find an enemy shinobi you can’t deal with yourself, send me a signal, I will try to help you.” Kaname explained.
“Sensei, couldn’t you just destroy the army?” Izumi asked.
“Maybe I could, but even if I did destroy this army, Kirigakure would send another one, and then another one. The rebels need to organize themselves. This land needs this war to finish and not thanks to the mercenaries, like us, Izumi-chan. If, let’s say, tomorrow I marched into the Kirigakure to stomp down on their Mizukage, making Mei-san the next head of the village. The people would think of her as my puppet, not their ruler. *Sigh*, are you ready, kids?” Seeing them nod their heads, Kaname put her hands in the distinct seal for creating clones, “Follow me!”

(Izumi’s PoV)
Running behind Sensei, I felt her all-encompassing, warm, but a little violent, chakra covering my body. The next moment, I noticed a white aura like being, shielding all four of us as we were charging right onto the frontlines. Somehow, the crowd of enemies standing before me did not frighten me, instead, looking at Kaname-sensei’s small back and flowing-shaggy hair as always made me feel protected. With a swish of her hand, five massive red swords eliminated a couple of dozens of ninjas, opening a wide berth for all of us to enter the village, looking to my left and right I noticed the same things happening on two other flanks.
“Go, remember to send me a signal if you need any help!” Kaname-sensei ordered loudly, standing in front of the south village’s entrance.
Pulling my bow out, I jumped behind Torune and Koji. “Together or we split up?” Koji-kun asked us.
“Split up. We will finish it faster that way” At least I think it’s a good plan, Torune-kun’s nod of the head approved my words.
Jumping towards the west side of the settlement, I used one of the water jutsus that Sensei let me copy from her palette, slowly dousing the flames I barged into a barricaded building. Looking around the scorched rooms, I finally encountered the doors to the bas.e.m.e.nt. Looking inside, I noticed black corpses of a family protecting about a two-year-old chared baby with their bodies.
Jumping out of the building and emptying my stomach on the corner, I heard a girly scream coming from an alley nearby. Putting away the image of the corpses from my mind, I jumped into action. Silently scouting the blind alley, I saw two men holding a girl my age in place, while the third one was ripping her clothes off. The girl’s face was somehow deformed, the left side of it contained scales and a curved-back horn. With the rush of adrenaline and l.u.s.t, they did not even notice as I got close. I took hold of three arrows to deal with them quickly. I released my first shot, and instantly aimed at the second head. Before my first victim was able to drop dead on the ground, the third arrow was let loose. Would-be rapists did not even know what hit them.
With three loud consecutive *Thuds* of dead bodies dropping on the ground, the disfigured girl looked around for her savior. Walking out of the shadow of the building, I approached her, “Hi, I’m with the Rebel Army, go to the South Gate, we are organizing the evacuation.” Pulling the bloodied, still useful, arrows from the bodies, I looked as the girl only dumbly nodded her head.
In ten minutes, I saved another ten or so people, but with time, I found fewer and fewer survivors. Looking into the last building, I noticed an orange-shaggy-haired boy, crying over the corpses of his parents. Turning his orange-eyes towards me, I felt the rage in him explode as he charged, turning his hands into two grey axes like appendages.
“Ugh, wait! I’m here to save-!” Feeling the danger, I dodged the boy, making him impact, and easily penetrate the wall of his house. ‘Ugh, I don’t have the time for it.’ Activating my Sharingan, I caught the boy in a genjutsu, making him unconscious.
“Damnit, you are heavy for a ten-year-old. Knowing, Koji-baka, he is in some kind of a pickle. Let’s go.” Pulling the boy onto my back, I started walking towards the still burning center of the village.
As I expected, Koji-kun stood in front of a jnin from Kirigakure. The man looked like a fish, his round face had black fish-like scales, which turned white around his eyes. Shark-like teeth were put around a cute, young blonde girl’s neck holding a white-bunny plushie. It made Koji-kun use what he called: his own Kekkei Genkai, Talkaton Release. Activating my Sharingan, I read his lips.
“Release the girl Shinchi. She isn’t-”
[AN: Tl. Shanchi is a killer-whale. Sue me – I don’t have the time to think of mob names :-)]
“Silence boy, who do you think you are?” The killer-whale-like men growled out.
‘Wow, who would guess that talking to a sadistic killer would not work.’ I commented on seeing Koji-kun’s fail.
“He-Help me, Nii.” the girl pleaded with tears flowing from her eyes.
“Everything will be alright, your big bro-”
“I said, silence! Are you stupid or what?” he shouted at him. Shinchi lightly pushed his teeth further into the girl’s neck, drawing blood.
“What do you want?” Koji finally asked the most crucial question.
“From you? You can’t give me anything, boy. I just love to see the despair on my enemy’s face. Do you think that your Sensei would be angry if I killed you next? Neither you nor two of your friends hiding closeby can save this girl, she is my snack.” his voice purred in delight as he licked the blood out of the girl’s neck.
‘Damnit! He knows we are here.’ Looking around, I saw Torune-kun sneaking from the other side of the plaza.
“Save m-” the girl’s plea stopped when the fishman’s teeth cut through her throat. The sick *clap* of his jaws made me weak in my knees.
“NOOO!” Koji-baka yelled out, charging at the much more experienced shinobi. I flickered towards the idiot, trying to pull him away from killing himself, but in the next moment, the plaza got crushed under immense chakra pressure coming from above us.
“Ha… Hahahahaha! See you soon!” the man laughed madly, licking his lips. With a single hand-seal, he turned himself into water that got absorbed into the ground.
“Guh! Leave me alone!” Koji-baka started trashing around in my arm, letting him go, he slowly knelt next to the dead girl and started to cry.
“Are you okay?” Sensei landed next to us with her Susanoo active.
“Yeah, take care of Koji-kun, Sensei. He may be in a shock.” I explained.
Sensei walked to Koji-kun and let him sob his heart out in her hug.
“I’m sorry I sent one of my companions to you, Sensei. But it seems I was too late.” Torune apologized.
“Someday, I will find and obliterate this f.u.c.ker. I will never stop until I find him grovel beneath my feet, asking for death.” It was the first time I heard Koji-kun’s voice being so low.
“*Sigh* That’s why I said that the frontlines are not pretty. Welcome in the life of a shinobi Team 7.”

(Two weeks later)
“Yo, you called Hokage-sama?” Kakashi greeted the old-man.
“Ah, Inu. Come inside.” Hokage made his jnin walk towards the middle of the room, clearing his throat by coughing out once, his eyes turned sharp, “Now, what the hell are you doing, you fool? Do you want Kana-chan to level Konoha in her rage?! She comes back in a week!” he shouted at him.
“Ehh… I don’t know what you are talking about, Hokage-sama.” Kakashi replied, not giving a shit about Naruto sitting on a sofa reading aloud the orange book.
“…Kissing Ami-chan’s perky b.r.e.a.s.ts, he made her m.o.a.n out his name. Tracing his fingers down towards her wet p-”
“*COUGH*” Hokage coughed a little too loudly, “Now, what have you got for your defense?!”
He felt bloodl.u.s.t coming from the cat-masked Anbu hiding behind the bookshelf. “I’m sorry, Hokage-sama. You have no freaking idea of how irritating this kid is. I denied him access to Icha Icha Innocence. Because of this brat, I couldn’t sleep for the last one, and a half week, he pranked the literal shit out of me.”
“… As he was slurping her honey, he tore his pants off, letting his massive dragon-like- WHAT IS GOING ON?!” Naruto shouted out.
“Ha! So you admit it was your book. See Cat-chan? It wasn’t me!” Hokage loudly exclaimed, pointing at Kakashi. Only for Yugao’s killing intent concentrate on the one-eyed jnin, “Now for the punishment. You have a day to have the Talk with the confused boy. Then Yugao-chan is set free to do anything she wants with you.”
“Not to underappreciate your skills with a sword Cat-chan, but I’m much more worried about Kana-chan.” Kakashi sweated comically.
“Yeah, I heard it’s nice this time of the year in Land of Iron, of course, if you don’t mind mountains of snow and ice.”
“Yeah, perfect vacation spot, thanks, Hokage-sama.”
“Hmph, don’t think that some snow will stop her from getting your arse. How could you ruin her child’s innocence?!” Yugao’s voice growled in the office.
“He asked for it. Naruto isn’t even-” he felt the bloodl.u.s.t jump two levels up, “… I didn’t say anything.” Kakashi replied, sweating under scrutinizing gaze of invisible Yugao, “Naruto, come with me. We need to talk.” Kakashi pulled the boy out of the room.

(Kaname Pov)
“Oh, Kaname-san, how are you and your team?” Mei asked her.
“Good, you are one of the last patients still held here Mei-san, I took care of the light wounds in your army, they should be ready for action as you walk out of the hospital.” She replied to the woman lying on a hospital bed
“Is it true what I heard of your team? The White-Rabbits?” Mei asked, snorting with laughter.
Kaname pulled and shown a finger-sized rabbit plushy from her belt, the gift Izumi made for the entire team, “Yeah, they are going around the islands, assassinating the enemy camps, and healing wounded civilians once they find them. They became pretty much a fable for the enemy, as the only things they leave behind are a bunch of corpses and white-rabbit plushies.”
“Heh, cute. And why the rabbits? I think leaving behind spiders or other types of animals would bring even more dread to the enemy.”
“Two reasons, it was important for two of them, and they hope that one of their enemies will understand who slaughtered his minions. Childish, I know. *Achoo-*” Kaname sneezed loudly.
“Wow, are you okay?”
“No problem, I just had this mysterious feeling of wanting to hunt down a certain cyclops, rip his legs out and obliterate his family heirlooms. He must have done something bad to my little brother. Weird…”
“That’s… worryingly descriptive of you. Ao told me you had some news about the Mizukage.”
“Ah, right. There is a general misinterpretation – you assumed it’s impossible to cast a perfect jinchriki in a genjutsu. My informant said that’s false, I believe him, he is, let’s say, an expert on Bij and their limits.”
“Really? Then Yagura-kun…?! *Cough*” Mei started talking rashly, but caught herself a moment later, “Who is your informant, Kaname-san? I never heard of a human that was better versed in the workings of a perfect jinchriki.”
Kaname’s brow went upwards, “Who said anything about a human?”
“…What?” Mei shot back.
“Mei-sama!” One of the Anbu called from behind the tent entrance.
“*Sigh* Enter!” she commanded.
“Mei-sama, we found It!” If the man behind the mask could spit, he would do it the moment he mentioned ‘It.’
“Good, are the hunter-nins ready?” Mei slowly rose from her bed.
“Mei-san, can you tell me at least what is going on? You’re not moving from the bed without my approval.” Kaname pushed her head back onto the pillow.
“We can’t wait. Here in Land of Water, there are two jinchrikis. Yag- Mizukage is one, having full control over his beast, he alone easily dwarfs our firepower. For years I tried to recruit the second jinchriki in our ranks, he is a hermit, but time and time again, he denied me, for the last year the peaceful denials turned into bloody fights. If he isn’t going to join my forces, then I can’t let Mizukage recruit him. Two Bijs would destroy any chances we-”
*Bonk*
“You moron! You’re not moving from the bed, that’s the order of your doctor.” Kaname bonked her head, “You said it yourself, he is a hermit, why would someone like that join your war? Did you ask him to join you, or did you delegate people to do it for you?” she asked.
“I didn’t have the-”
“I thought so. What is the standard reaction of a ninja that sees a jinchriki?”
“I don’t know, fear?”
“Revulsion, Mei-san. The negotiations must have gone just perfectly, think about it, one side spits at the other, ordering an individual to join them, like he would be some kind of animal. No wonder that this hermit just snapped one time, bah! It’s as likely that he got attacked first because he had the gal to stand behind his beliefs. Now you’re just thinking about hunting him like some kind of feral beast. I’m not sure I joined the right side of this conflict now.” Kaname explained.
“Ugh, I’m sorry, Kaname-san. That was… an oversight on my side. Can you tell me-”
“I will go, my little brother is a jinchriki as well. I don’t care if someone has a beast or a sock sealed inside the body. But I have a condition.”
“Yes?”
“If I ever find anyone in the camp having stupid thoughts about jinchrikis, I want to prank the f.u.c.k out of them. Four or five pranks will teach everyone some respect.”
“Heh, do your worst, Kaname-san.”
“Sure.” With a swish of her hand, a seal landed on top of kneeling Anbu member’s mask.
With prodding from her chakra, the seal activated, changing the nose-less mask, to one where the nose resembled a miniature porcelain male’s genitalia.
“A day with that should humble him a bit. *Pft*.” Kaname commented, snorting with laughter.
“Hahaha, Anbu, for the next twenty-four hours, you are to keep this mask on your face, hahaha.” Mei laughed out.
Kaname felt the man glaring at her, “What? Do you want another one on your forehead?” she asked, seeing the man drop his head in defeat, Kaname continued “Good. Mei-san, send Ao-san with me, I don’t know what I can expect there, and I may need a guide.”
“Will do, go prepare yourself. Pecker-kun bring Ao-san here, he is to prepare for combat.”
————
It took the duo approximately three hours before they reached the targeted island. The damp marsh was covered by a thick fog, with the Byakugan active Ao led her deeper into the island.
“I think I could prepare some lenses for you to hide the eye without the entire blindfold nonsense.”
“Thanks, but-”
“F.U.C.K!” Kaname caught Ao by his arm and instantly covered both of them in Susanoo, not a second later a mighty explosion sent both of them flying.
“*Ugh* What was that?” the blue-haired man slowly stood up.
“We almost got disintegrated by a Bijdama, that’s what. Get up. It seems we’re not the only ones looking for a jinchriki. Use this eye of yours, and tell me what you see.” Kaname ordered.
“!” Ao shouted out, making the side of his face crumple up with veins, “the Bij is attacked by six men in cloaks, the Tailed beast is… losing?”
“What do you mean losing? We’re talking about a Tailed-Beast here.”
“Its chakra is diminishing at an alarming rate, if this goes on-” The painful roar and a loud *thud* made Ao stop for a second, “The Six-Tails got defeated, the men are standing above the prone jinchriki” he commented further. “No, wait. Now they split up, five of them are scouting the area around the jinchriki, and the last one is preparing him for the transport.”
“Which way?” Kaname questioned.
“What are you going to do, Kaname-san? They beat a freaking Bij!”
“That only makes them weaker now.” Sneaking her way towards the direction Ao pointed at, Kaname noticed the first shadow of a person behind a thick mist a minute later. Flickering towards it, she delivered a Rasengan to an orange-long-haired man killing him instantly. Standing above the corpse, the first thing she noticed was a black coat with red-white clouds. Noting that the body was cold, ‘A corpse was moving?’, she rotated the man’s body around, her heart almost stopped when she saw two purple eyes in the eye sockets. “Ao, you never told me we’re dealing with the leader of Akatsuki!”
“Akatsuki?” he asked.
Kaname felt her body start to float, “F.u.c.k! Go back to the boat. If I don’t come back in five minutes, then ru-!” with a mighty pulling force, Ao disappeared behind the fog.
