Uchiha’s Butterfly - Volume 3 Chapter 85 Meet The Fockers
*Beep*.
*Beep*.
‘Ugh, what the?’ Kaname slowly opened her left eye, to the side of her prone body stood a, ceaselessly beeping, tower of medical equipment, it clearly was monitoring her vitals.
‘Ah, here we go again…’ she grumbled internally, turning her head to the right, Kaname noticed the brown-haired teen sitting at her desk.
“H- *Cough*.” The coughing fit interrupted her greeting.
“SENSEI!” her student bolted towards her trashing Kaname’s favorite ‘I am the BOSS’ chair, “How are you feeling?! How can I help? Do you feel any pain?” Izumi bombarded her with questions.
‘Hmm… Maybe it will work.’ Kaname came up with a mischievous scheme. “W-Who are you?” she asked, playing a frightened woman.
Izumi gasped, grasping her mouth.
“No… Who am I?”
“…” The silence enveloped the tent for a full minute, “*Growl* I saw the twinkle in your eyes, Baka-Sensei!” her student shouted out.
“Tsk… I almost got you this time. How long was I out, Izumi-chan?”
“Not much, I kept you under for two weeks, flushing the poison out of your body. I’m sorry, I tried everything I could to heal all the wounds, but there is a small spot on your back that is still scared.” Izumi replied, still peeved out at the black-haired woman.
“I see, good job Izumi-chan.”
“Thank you, I was taught by the best.”
“Oh, how nice.”
“I meant your mother, not you, Baka-Sensei.”
“Ouch, good one… I see my hastily cobbled up plan worked up.”
“*Sigh* Is it always like this with you, Sensei?” the girl complained, “Do you even care what we would do without you? How could I explain that you pierced your own heart to your family?!”
“I’m sorry Izumi-chan, I felt my strength quickly seeping out, I had to do something and do it swiftly. Seeing all of you standing next to me gave me an idea.”
“I do not care about your ideas, it was just luck that saved your life, Sensei!”
“Hehehe. Yep, that’s true. But I had an inkling that luck was on my side that day.
“What was the thing that possessed your body? It wasn’t a genjutsu, Torune tried to push the chakra in your body multiple times. I never heard of a jutsu that could control someone’s else body.”
“It wasn’t a genjutsu. It…” Kaname felt her heart squeeze in pain.
“Shit… I can’t say, it seems I did not free myself fully of the thing’s influence.”
“… I see.”
“Why is a shirtless Utakata in the hospital bed in front of mine, Izumi-chan? Not that I mind the eye candy in the morning, but…”
“Firstly, it’s late evening. Secondly, eye candy? Really, Sensei?”
“What? I helped Snail Boy develop his swimmer-like body, I wouldn’t do that if I didn’t feel that it looks good on him. Let’s be true to each other, you were ogling his chest as well.” Kaname replied with mirth.
“Geh… Itachi-kun will get sleeker than Utakata-san ever will, I will make sure of it! Whatsmore, I’m a teen! I can’t fight the hormones!”
“Hahaha. Good luck, Izumi-chan. Can you tell me what happened?”
“*Sigh*… The first explosion scorched multiple islands, luckily, the late prison was on a gods-forsaken-land, so the civilian casualties are abysmal. Your rampage eradicated the core of Mei-sama’s forces. With the overall power drop in her trained ninjas, Mei-sama had to dramatically slow down her march towards the capital. Someone reminded other rebels that in this tent, their friend’s killer still has a considerable bounty on her head, having you unconscious on the bed did not diminish the tensions. You can imagine the rest yourself, Sensei.”
“Hmm, yes, a drink or maybe ten drinks too many, and an idiot wanted to get my booty?”
“More like a squadron, Utakata-san was on the watch this night. It’s the reason I slowly pulled you out of a comma, now you can defend yourself.”
“I understand, Izumi-chan. I will gently kill every assailant that comes here. So, what type of space-time ninjutsu saved me this time?”
“You’re awake only for a minute, and you already caused me a migraine, Sensei.” Izumi rubbed her forehead as she dropped her hand, Kaname observed the new eye pattern formed in her red Sharingan eyes. A black cartwheel, composed of three hook-like structures rotating around a small black pupil in the middle.

“Not bad, and what can you do with it, Izumi-chan?”
“Only one thing, !” [Google Translator: ~Everlasting Existence]
“Hmm, what, did it not work?” Kaname inquired when her student deactivated the Mangeky Sharingan.
Izumi smirked, flipping a black marker in her palm, “Oh, it did work, Kaname-sensei.” The girl turned to the desk and handed the woman a small hand-mirror.
The older Uchiha had a drawn curly mustache and a goatee. “Interesting, a time stop?… No, the ECG monitor did not stop working, the heartbeat rate just flattened out.”
“It won’t be easy. You can try to guess, but I won’t tell you my secret, Sensei.”
“Paralysis? No… Hey, Izumi-chan. Did you put me on stasis?” Kaname inferred.
“…, *Sigh*.” The girl breathed out tiredly, she turned around on her heel and angrily walked towards the desk.
“Hahaha, you are still too young to play those games with me, my young student.”
“Sometimes I just hate you, Sensei,” Izumi grumbled, setting the chair upwardly and sitting on it.
“I love you too, Izumi-chan. Hahaha!”
————
“Do you even imagine what you have done?! Because of you, the rebel army is in shambles, I’m not sure we can push for the Mizugakure anytime soon.” Mei yelled at her.
Kaname nonchalantly cleansed her ear, “It was you that requested me to come, Mei-san. It was the time of the month, and I was angry…” she replied to Izumi’s amus.e.m.e.nt.
“Don’t spout bullshit, you had horns growing out of your head, Kaname-chan! What was the thing that possessed you? Is it still dangerous for my people?”
“I can’t talk about it.” Kaname noticed a tick mark forming on the auburn-haired woman, “No, really, I want to explain everything, but the… thing stops me from doing so.”
“*Sigh* What do you want to do now, Kaname-chan?”
“From what I have heard you need to restructure your forces, I doubt I’m necessary for that, I may be an only liability for you at the moment. If you don’t mind, I think of taking a week-long break in Konoha.”
“Yes, that’s a good idea. Take Utakata-san as well. I received a stupid amount of complaints about ‘a monster’ attacking the very concerned about your health shinobis…” Mei complained, pointing her finger around her back.
“Hey, Don’t I have anything to say about this?”
“Snail Boy… We all know you always wanted to get out of these islands, that’s your chance.” Kaname shot back.
The brown-haired man sighed out, “I know, but as much as I hate this country, it’s the land of my ancestors, I can’t just leave it in an hour of need.”
“Your presence will only slow down the speed of my recruitment, most of my forces are still scared of you, Utakata-san.”
“I got accustomed to it already.”
“It’s only a week, Tsundere-kun. I will introduce you to my younger brother. No one in Konoha knows you’re a jinchriki, it should be nice to walk among the people not shunning away from you.”
“Hmm…” That made him thinking.
“Whatever, if you won’t listen to our request, I order you to be a guard for Kaname-chan for the next week.” Mei finished the discussion.
—————-
(Utakata’s PoV)
Just as we got through the checkpoint at the eastern Konoha’s gate, I walked next to Kaname and entered the Hidden Leaf Village, her students hot on our tails.
“Why would you call that a Village?! It’s thrice the size of Mizu!” Kaname shrugged off my question.
“Dunno, I think it just stuck. Hmm, being a jinchriki, you should go meet with the Hokage as soon as possible. Kids, you can take a break. Follow me, Snail Boy.”
Taking a calm stroll through the populated streets of Konoha was a very calming experience, no slurs thrown my way was a big boon, an occasional l.u.s.ty gaze from women helped me build some confidence. Soon the treetops thinned out, showing the famous Hokages Mountain and the proper center of the village.
“It’s… beautiful.”
“Yeah, do you see the Academy at the foothills? That’s our target.” She pointed her finger at a big white-red building standing next to the mountain.
…
“Yo, Jiji! I brought a guest!” Kaname pulled me through the office window.
“Let me go! It’s not the way you should enter a Kage’s office!”
“*Sigh*” The old man facepalmed. The stories were true, he was way past his prime, Hokage’s back was visibly hunched, his face was wrinkled. Still, I noticed an incredible amount of willpower hidden behind his tired, wise eyes.
“He is-”
“Let me introduce myself.” I interrupted Kaname, “Hello, Hokage-sama. My name is Utakata, the current Six-Tails’ jinchriki and an acting guard for this obstinate kunoichi.” I bowed my head, pointing my eyes at Kaname.
“Welcome, Utakata-san. I see Mei-chan listened to the reason and appointed a guard for Kana-chan.”
“Hey!” Kaname exclaimed.
“What?! Do you know how many problems you caused with your last prank?!”
“It was a perfect addition to the Hokages Mountain, and it wasn’t just me, Naru-chan helped me immensely…”
“I know, I gave him a ten-serving ramen coupon, and he spilled the beans.”
I just watched at sidelines as the duo bickered with each other, “I’m sorry. What are we talking about?”
“Hehe, the last night I was here, I gave the mountain outside this window a redo.”
“Kana-chan, it wasn’t a redo, you made fun of the Hokage’s position…”
“Ah, the respective concepts belong to Naru-chan, he copyrighted them,” Kaname commented on the side.
“I see, do I want to know what annoying thing you did this time?”
“It looks like we will understand each other in the future, Utakata-san.” The Professor nodded his head at me.
“Hehe, I remodeled the stone faces. The First Hokage was cut into nice Guy’s pose.”
“Nice Guy?” I asked.
“I will introduce both of you later, in summary, a wink with a glint in the open eye, a big toothy smile, and a thumb aimed at the face. I modeled the Second Hokage’s face into a copy of the Sannin’s Jiraya. The said Toad Sage tried to spy on me and other women at the hot springs, I had a photo of his face as blackmail material.”
“Tried to spy on you? What?”
“Don’t worry, it’s an inside joke, you will get it someday, Snail Boy.” She shot back, “I gave the Jiji’s face my personal best.”
“Umu,” the Hokage nodded his head, “It doesn’t mean I liked what you have done, but it was a good representation nonetheless. It brought me some pleasant memories.”
“Thanks, Jiji. I added the same pipe he has at the moment, but it was scaled up and constantly released bubbles into the air.”
“Hmm?” I inclined my head.
“Yep, I copied you.”
“How did you make it release them regularly?” I questioned.
“A stupid question, with seals. Yondaime’s face was redone by Naru-chan, he modeled it after his own. But knowing the average IQ of our civilians, they still did not notice the clear resemblance.”
“No, they did not, Kana-chan.”
I massaged the annoyance out of my head, “So what’s the verdict, Hokage-sama? Will you punish Kaname-chan for her insubordination?”
“Hmm…” his eyes turned towards me, “No, it’s just her way of doing things, at least she makes my days interesting. But there is one thing I want to talk about with you, Utakata-san.” Hokage’s head set back at Kaname, “Personally.”
“Yeah, yeah. I will wait for you at the Academy Grounds below.” Kaname jumped out of the window.
“*Sigh* Kaname-chan, eh?” the old man smirked towards me, “She is one of my most precious shinobis in the village Utakata-san, Kana-chan endured more hardsh.i.p.s than I assumed anyone was feasible.” The old man spoke with his leader’s voice.
“Yes, she talked to me about the gist of it, Hokage-sama.”
“Good, either she thinks of you as a friend or as something more, I don’t care. Kana-chan lived without a father, so I believe it’s my duty. Hurt her, and I will make you disappear.” the man growled out.
“I’m sorry, Hokage-sama. If I even try to do it, she will make me disappear long before you get your hands on me.”
“Heh,” he chuckled, “I see you got to know her.”
“Yes, I believe so. I have got a question, how many times will I get threatened this week?”
“Oh, boy… You have no idea.” I wasn’t sure if the old man was joking or not, but with simple goodbye’s I met back with Kaname. I sat next to her on the bench and joined in watching Academy students sparring each other.
“Is this your little brother’s age group?”
“Nope, he is a year younger than them. I just had this weird sense of amazement watching the green-clad kid.”
“Ah, yeah. The kid is losing the fight, but he feels like an unpolished gem, it looks like someone just started putting the basics into the kid. His technique looks very similar to what Koji-kun shows.”
Kaname nodded, “Yes, they have the same taijutsu instructor… I’m sorry, I forgot you’re new here. I never talked with you about my closest friends, I didn’t think it would be so awkward for you.”
“Don’t worry about that, Kaname-chan. I believe you have an eye for high-grade personalities, if they’re your friends, I would like to meet them.” I assured.
“I see, then you have the work cut out for you. Hmm, let’s start with the easiest one, see the fourth stone face above our heads?”
“Wait, what?!”
“Yep, the legendary Yellow Flash was one of my teachers.”
“That’s… Wow, it explains your speed. Wait, one of?”
“I’m not sure why myself.” Kaname replied tiredly, “Sometimes I feel like a thief, the better half of Konoha’s jnins helped to morph me into what I’m today. This is the story of my life, I take what is not mine, and use it to obliterate Konoha’s enemies.”
I did not expect a serious conversation here, but she is seriously wrong about that, “No, you did not take their techniques. I know you enough, Kaname-chan, their help was provided by themselves, you have a weird affliction of making friends with anybody you want. You’re not grabbing the jutsu away from your friends and obliterating Konoha’s enemies, Kaname-chan. You are embracing their teachings while protecting your own home.”
“Hmm.” she hummed, cutting the conversation silent for the next ten seconds, making me concentrate back on the Academy students. I felt a small peck on my left cheek.
Kaname smiled at me, “Thanks, Snail Boy.”
‘YAHOO! Good job, Utakata! Keep going like this!’ Saiken shouted in my head.
I touched the spot Kaname kissed, I smiled back at her, “You’re welcome, Kaname-”
“HEY, YOU!” a small girl with two black hair buns on her head, pointed her finger at me, “What are you doing to my aunt?!”
“Me? Nothing?” I replied dumbly.
“Don’t play dumb! I saw you k… K-kissing!”
“Hehehe. Tenten-chan, I just pecked his cheek, don’t worry about that.”
“*Grumble* If you say so… But remember that I’m watching you!” Tenten exclaimed, angrily stomping back to her giggling classmates.
“The heck was that?”
“It’s just the beginning, Snail Boy. Come, I have someone to meet as soon as possible.” She took my hand and led me inside the academy building, Kaname very quickly located the classroom she was looking for and loudly opened the sliding doors.
“Sis?!”
“Yo, oh, Iruka-kun? Congrats on your promotion. I want to take my little brother away for today.”
“Kaname-san? Sure, Naruto-kun, you’re free to go for today.” A scar-faced teacher acknowledged.
“Wait a moment! He is … the… worst… …” his white-haired assistant protested, but the next moment he whittled under Kaname’s gaze.
‘Hah! What a moron, Kana-chan does not ask for permission.’ Saiken snorted.
As the classroom doors closed behind the blonde, he shouted out, “FREEDOM ~ttebayo! Hahaha.”
‘I feel the fox inside of the boy, it was so long ago I met with my older brother.’
Kaname hugged the boy, “Hi Naru-chan. I would like to introduce you to somebody.”
“Hi, Sis. Ehm, hello, I’m Naruto Uzumaki, who are you?” he reached out to me with the biggest smile I have ever seen on another person.
“Hi, my name is Utakata, a temporary bodyguard for your sister and a Six-Tails jinchriki,” I replied, catching his extended hand.
“So you are like me?! Wow! Nice to meet ya ~dattebayo.”
“Nice to meet you too. I have heard you have some canine problems, Naruto?”
“Yeah, the fuzzball is angry at everything around him.”
‘Let me talk with the fox.’ Saiken inserted.
‘How?’
“Naruto, give me a fist bump.” I requested.
Soon I found myself in a damp sewer with some massive gates in front of me, Naruto standing next to me. With a soft plop, Kaname spawned in the trench as well.
“Hey, Kurama. Wake up, we need to talk.” her shout was met with entire mindscape trembling in a low growl.
I noticed an enormous red eye slowly opening in the darkest part of the prison, then came the Kyuubi’s voice, “So my jailer comes to visit me once again? What is it this time? Came to shackle me some more? Your vermin of a species knows only how to torture us.”
“Kaname-chan, Naruto, let me deal with it.”
Kaname nodded her head, taking her brother, she slowly moved backward.
“Hey, Kurama.” I greeted unsurely.
“*Tsk* Another vermin, what do you want?! A piece of my power?! I will add a Konoha’s destruction as a giveaway.” the fox growled.
“Just to talk. Saiken, he is yours.” I felt my consciousness turning in, as my body morphed into Saiken’s.
“Hi, older brother.” The slug greeted.
“Saiken… Why am I not astonished, you were always weak-willed.”
“And Father always called you a Tsundere, can we cut to the chase, brother?”
“*Growl* What do you want? As you can see, I’m not exactly available.” The fox pointed at the bars of his cell.
“Why are you so peeved? From what I remember, you were one of the smartest of us.”
The orange fox bumped into his cell doors, “I’M THE SMARTEST!”
“Son Goku would argue with that, it does not matter, where this anger comes from, it’s not like you.”
“I’m angry at the humans, you stupid slime! Once they were able, they pissed at father’s teachings and captured every single one of us! His children, taken prisoner by hairless monkeys! If those vermins want me to play nice, they will have to free all of my brothers and sisters first!”
“I see, you know you’re one of the two that won’t even start negotiating with the host, Kurama. You’re just like our insane youngest brother.”
“*Growl* Don’t compare me to that weakling!”
“Then stop acting like him!” Saiken shouted back, “All but the two of you are free to do anything they like, I never felt I was in prison, Utakata is my partner, not my jailer.”
‘Thanks.’ I replied.
‘Not a problem, I just stated the truth.’
“You will never understand, you stupid slime!”
“… Then explain it to me.”
“*Sigh* Father asked me to protect all of you. Saiken, you know the hard truth, I’m the strongest one of my siblings, but even I was bested. I could not accomplish what he asked me off.”
“Hmm, yeah, you’re doing an excellent job sitting on your arse in this dark sewer. The Lucky Seven was attacked a week ago, I did not receive any word since.”
“*Growl* That’s why I hate humans! They want to use us for their own purposes!”
“Do you even hear yourself, tsundere fox?! You have people next to you that want to help you, and you spit in their faces. Father asked you to protect your siblings, you just sleep in your damp cell. One of us got captured, and you won’t even listen to the voice of reason!”
“Does not matter, I’m only a shadow of myself, again all because of those hairless monkeys!”
“What do you mean, Kurama?”
“This blonde kit’s father sliced my chakra in half.”
“Kana-chan?” Saiken asked.
“Yeah, it’s not going to be easy, but I think there is a chance for me to recover the Yang half of Kurama’s chakra.”
“I do not trust the Uchihas – they’re the most bloodthirsty and power-hungry of them all.” the fox complained.
“HEY! She is my Sister, you stupid fuzzball!” Naruto shouted back.
“That’s why I don’t trust you either, kit!”
“You’re hopeless older brother. Just try to at least talk with them, they’re good people.”
“It’s for me to evaluate. Leave me. I have a lot to thought about.” the fox swished his nine tails at Saiken and walked to the dark corner of his cell.
Soon the Saiken exchanged places, making me fall knee-deep into the damp cellar.
“Cool, how did you do that? ~ttebayo”
“I see you have the same drive Kaname-chan has. That’s good for a ninja.” I patted the blonde’s head.
“Naru-chan, let’s go home. I have a gift for your grandma.” With her comment, we found ourselves back in the academy corridor.
“Sure, let’s go, Sis, I need you to exam my new seals!”
————–
It was a small house on the borders of Konoha, I felt scared meeting her family for the first time, I hope I will not botch it all up.
“Mom, I’m home!” Kaname shouted out.
“I’m in the living room.” A woman’s voice replied.
“Come, Snail Boy. Let me introduce you,” she whispered, pulling my hand.
“Hi, Little Butterfly.” A woman a little past her prime greeted, Kaname’s mother still retained her beauty, I noticed many resemblances her daughter inherited from her. The woman’s eyes were covered by a white cloth.
‘Ah, so that’s the reason for Kaname’s seal work. Ingenious.’
“Hi, mom.” Kaname hugged the woman.
“Hmm, who is it? I heard Naru-chan’s pitter-patter, but there is someone else here.”
“Hello, my name is Utakata, I’m Kaname-chan’s temporary bodyguard.”
“Hmm, only a bodyguard? Whatever, my name is Sachi Uchiha, nice to meet you, Utakata-san.”
“The pleasure is mine,” I replied.
“Mom, I have a gift for you, Snail Boy helped me in the development of it.”
“Snail Boy?” the woman questioned.
“She meant me, Sachi-san. I’m the jinchriki of a Six-Tailed Slug.” I explained.
“*Sigh* You and your habit of nicknaming other people…” Wow, no comment whatsoever about me being a jinchriki?
“Heh. Mom, I will give you a seal, just activate it with some chakra, it’s still a prototype, but I will work it out soon.”
“Hmm?” the woman took the slip of paper into her hand, the writing on it started glowing, “And what does it do?”
Kaname caught Sachi’s hand and put it on her cheek, “*Gasp*.”
The woman delicately caressed Kaname’s cheek, “I can see you, Little Butterfly?”
“No, you cannot. Unfortunately, I could only overload your touch receptors and create a representation of what you are touching at the exact moment.”
Sachi hugged Kaname very tightly, “You do not understand, Little Butterfly. It’s much more than I ever hoped for.” she replied with a single tear dropping from her eye.
“*Psst* Utakata ~ttebayo.” the boy at my side pulled on my sleeve.
“Yes?”
“My sis is the best, isn’t she?!”
“Heh, yeah, she is.”
————–
“Sis! Sis! Come, let me show you my newest work!” the boy pulled Kaname out of the room, making me stay face to face with her mother.
“So, Utakata-kun, eh?” she started.
“Sachi-san, can I speak truthfully?”
“Shoot away.”
“I really like your daughter, I’m not sure if she likes me that way, but I would like to ask for your permission to court Kaname-chan.”
“Hmm, you know what, Snail Boy? You’re the first one that had enough balls to ask me of that. I appreciate your sincerity, many of her friends are too scared of my butterfly.”
“Yes, I can imagine why.”
“Heh, walk closer, let me take a look at you.” the woman chuckled.
As I walked towards, her she caught my hand in a completely unexpected steel-like grip. “You don’t look half bad. Are you scared of irynins, Utakata-kun?”
“Yes, Kaname-chan explained it to me, they’re the only ones that know the human limits, they know where to hit for it to hurt.”
Sachi’s eyebrows tensed, “Good. Have you ever excreted your innards?”
“No, I did not?”
“I will make you do that, the moment you hurt my treasure. Is. That. Clear?”
“Crystal clear, Sachi-san. I will say the same thing I told Hokage-sama. You will have to wait in a queue, Kaname-chan will get me first.”
“Hmm, it seems you have some confidence in yourself, good. How many children are you planning?”
“Eh? This was fast.”
“I’m not getting younger, so?”
“How many grandchildren do you want, Sachi-san?” My answer was met with a hearty laugh.
“Good answer. It seems we can work it all out, Utakata-kun.”
“Thank the gods…”
