Uchiha’s Butterfly - Volume 3 Chapter 90 Spring Is The Season Of..
Kaname’s mind poured back into her body, feeling extremely tired after what felt like weeks of torture, she kept her eyes closed. A moment later, Kaname recognized a mix of an earthy fresh smell coming from the person in which arms she was carried in. Turning her head a tiny bit, Kaname found a much more comfortable spot in Utakata’s hands.
“Are you alright, Kana-chan?” he looked down on her face.
“*Shh*!… Not so loud, Snail Boy. Try having your eardrums blown up every minute just for entertainment… Ehh, just let me rest.”
“Sure,” he whispered to the dozing off black-haired beauty in his arms. He rearranged his hold, pulling Kaname closer to his body.
——–
[Three hours later – PoV: Yagura]
It was hard to open my eyes. ‘Was I sparing with Mei-chan again? My body was aching like I would finish another spar with Mei-chan. No, wasn’t I attacked? Was I in a coma after the ambush?’ Following a long bout, I succeeded in barely lifting my right eyelid.
“Sensei, I think he woke up!” a female’s voice shouted from my right. Turning my eye towards the noise, I noticed a brown-haired girl my age in ninja garments, with a black bow strapped to her back.
“Damnit, Izumi-chan! I said to tone it down today!” another, a little older, female’s voice replied to the girl, but my neck was too stiff to turn towards the other occupant.
“Deal with it, Sensei~. Your plan sucked, don’t complain now. What’s more, you owe me big.” Izumi replied with her lips turning into a mix of confidence and sadism.
“I owe you? For what?”
“You will see, sooner or later, Sensei.”
“Hmm, whatever. Give Chibi-kun something to drink, I will work over his scalded muscles.”
‘Chibi-kun!?’ I groaned, ‘Wait! Scalded muscles?!’
As the brown-haired girl poured a cup of room-temperature water down my parched throat, I heard another pair of feet walk by the side of my bed. When the black-haired woman showed me her face, I instantly recognized her from my last nightmares. ‘Why? Why is she here? Wasn’t it all just a dream?!’
“It seems you recognize me, Chibi-kun,” she smirked.
I groaned at the use of an annoying nickname, “Good. I’m your doctor, you got your arse deep-fried. You will mostly get through it in a week or two – all of you jinchrikis are insane at recovery speed. Isobu got his chakra depleted and won’t answer you for a month or so.” the woman explained.
“..ho…?” I breathed out the question.
She rose her eyebrows in confusion, “Ah, I’m sorry.” she put her hand near my throat, I noticed an intense red glow coming from there. “Now, it should be easier to talk. I recovered your vocal cords.”
“Who… are you? I remember your face, I’m sorry, but somehow it’s making me angry.”
“Hahaha, no wonder, Chibi-kun. The last time you saw me, I knocked the literal shit out of your head.”
“Ugh. I don’t… remember?”
“My name is Kaname Uchiha. What’s the last thing you remember, Chibi-kun?”
“Do not call me that, please.”
Kaname shrugged her shoulders, not affected by the anger in my voice, “Make me.” she replied.
“*Sigh* Now I know why you make me so annoyed… I was waiting for Mei-chan at the Kirigakure’s south gate, then, coming from a dark alley, I noticed a flash of red. I don’t remember anything else. How long was I out, Kaname-san?”
“Too long.” she remarked, noting my answer in a notepad, “And from where did you recognize my face?”
“I remember some parts of my dreams, no, nightmares. Somehow, you were in there.”
Kaname closed her notebook and smiled in mockery, “Hee~. Do you see that, Izumi-chan? I’m freaking famous. Even cute boys dream about me.” I clearly noticed the woman avoiding the topic.
“Great, now you will get a big head over it. And he is older than y-” Izumi caught her mouth before she finished the sentence.
“Too late, Izumi-chan.” the black-haired Uchiha facepalmed.
“How long was I out?”
“Hmm, it depends.”
“ON WHAT?!”
“On many interesting factors, Chibi-kun.”
“Can you answer me honestly, Kaname-san?”
“Yes, I can.”
“… You’re insufferable.”
“Hehe. Thanks. You are just asking the wrong questions, Chibi-kun.” Kaname inclined her head, “Do you want the factual state or the cut-down Mei’s filtered version?”
“Wait, Kaname-san! Mei-chan is here? Is she okay?”
“She is alright, a little tired, but she has a lot on her head at the moment. I’m pretty sure she will be here in thirty minutes tops.”
“Why would she hide something from me? It’s Mei-chan, she was always ruthlessly honest, even if the truth hurt.” The confidence in my voice was shaken around by Kaname’s stare. I felt like a fool under her glare, “Is… Is she trying to protect me?… Again?”
“Protect you? Nah, for the record, you were assassinated two hours ago. With Mei-chan, me and another jinchriki taking credit for your head, for anyone interested – You. Are. Dead.”
“Kaname-san, why would you give me all the facts? If Mei-chan thinks it’s bad for me…”
“I believe you know who Hashirama Senju was?” I nodded my head, “What was his definition of a shinobi?” she asked.
“Rhetorical question, Kaname-san?”
“Yeah. I found Hashirama’s personal notebook in the Fire Temple. According to him, to be a shinobi is to endure. I saw you fight, and you’re one hell of a one, so do you want to know all the facts or not?”
It felt wrong. If those snippets of my dreams were the truth, then I became the sole reason for my country’s downfall. Am I ready to hear the brutal facts of what I have become? Am I prepared to brand myself with all those sins and bear them?
“Please, give me the unfiltered truth of what happened, Kaname-san.” I made my decision.
…
“… Why save someone like me? I did not deserve it.” Kaname forcibly poked my forehead.
“I was being paid to save your arse, ask my employer for the details. But I believe you know why she decided to do it.” the clear explanation was in the back of my head – the thought of it made the blood rush towards my ears.
“It doesn’t make any sense. I demolished my own country without a cause, I should just die.”
“THAT’S ENOUGH!” an insanely beautiful auburn-haired woman barged into the tent, interrupting us, “How could you, Kana-chan? I would tell him everything gradually!” she complained.
“I’m the doc here, Mei-chan. Chibi-kun is more willful than you think.”
“Mei-chan?” I appreciated her new dark blue dress falling down below her knees that only covered up to the upper part of her arms and the underside of her b.r.e.a.s.ts, exposing her fair skin, “You got… older?”
“Hmm~” The smile didn’t reach Mei’s eyes. What’s more, there was a big tick mark on her forehead. “We need to talk, Yagura-kun…” Mei cracked her knuckles taking steps towards me. She was stopped stiff after her third step, “What’s the meaning of this kid?!” she shouted out.
“I apologize, Mei-sama. Sensei abolished any forms of violence inside the tent. I would appreciate you considering another approach.” a calm teen male’s voice pointed out.
‘Hmm, he is good, I still don’t know where he is. ANBU? No, it’s one of Kaname-san’s students. Ah, time is of the essence here.’
“If you think that just a strand of ninja wire on my neck is going to stop me-”
“Wait, Mei-chan! By being older, I meant more womanly and beautiful. The last time I saw you, we were chnin.” my words made her blush profusely.
The duo of teacher and student perfectly mirrored each other, giving me thumbs-ups, “Nice save, Chibi-kun.” the black-haired woman smirked.
“Sensei, an urgent message from Konoha.” a brown-haired boy with long sideburns flickered to Kaname, passed a small black scroll to her hand, and disappeared in another high-speed movement. His technique was almost flawless as even the tent’s flap barely moved with him.
‘Such substantial protection of the tent? She is a good teacher, her team works like a well-oiled machine.’
“Don’t you worry, Chibi-kun. We weren’t sure how would the genjutsu work on your mind. You still could have been hostile towards me.” Kaname waved off my concerns.
“Not like you couldn’t defend yourself, Kana-chan.”
“She likes to get in trouble, Mei-san.” the brown-haired girl stated.
Kaname rolled out the scroll and read the message, “Hmm, we’re going back. Kids, you have thirty minutes to pack yourselves up.”
“Wait Sensei, what about Utakata-san?”
“That’s the fun part, Izumi-chan. Let him run after us.”
“Ugh. Koji-baka, do your thing!” the girl exclaimed loudly.
“Yes-yes.” The voice outside replied, “!”
“Talking about fun, I believe thirty minutes is enough for both of you to… Hmm, deeply discuss everything, is that enough for you, Mizukage-chan?”
“Ugh,” my childhood friend massaged her forehead, “I lack the interest to bicker with you now, Kana-chan. Just leave us alone.”
“You heard her kids. Let the old hag have some fun.” Kaname flickered away before a ruthless blow struck her head.
“GET BACK HERE BITCH!”
“Annoying one, isn’t she?”
“*Sigh* You can’t even imagine how much Kaname’s action bothered me over the time of civil war. Still, you just can’t dislike her.” Mei replied truthfully, “Now. I heard you don’t want to live anymore? Hmm, I have an idea on how to cheer you up…” she continued seductively.

[PoV: Utakata]
“Damnit! I didn’t have any idea this was his plan…” I angrily have thrown a scroll over my arm.
“I’m sorry, partner. You were just a hair-breadth away from dying, and I lashed out at the danger that fateful day.”
“It’s not your fault Saiken, you saved my life. According to his notes, my teacher knew that being your host would paint a target on my back.”
“Yes, the question is who gave him the required seals able to extract me.”
“No, Harusame-sensei was a genius, one of a kind. He most likely developed it himself. *Sigh* Why couldn’t he explain everything to me? It would save me years of deliberating about his betrayal…”
“I can’t answer that question, partner. Luckily, now you know the truth. By the way, what’s with your unexpected interest in this topic?”
“Looking at Kana-chan’s team family-like closeness made me think about my own teacher.”
“Heh, she rocked your world partner.”
“Yeah, I think-”
“Utakata-san!” a small brown-monkey dropped in front of me, landing on a desk.
“Ah, Koji’s summon? What do you need of me, little one?”
“A message for you from Koji-sama. ‘We’re moving out to Konoha in thirty,’ emm~… now ten minutes, ‘Sensei was urgently called back. It’s your last chance!’ He says.”
“F.u.c.k!” I stood up, knocking the chair over on the floor, and bolted towards the exit. As I left the archives, I was met with a mob of people watching me.
“The monshter~ is here!” a would-be a.d.u.l.t genin with a flabby belly shouted out, pointing at me.
“He killed our Mizukage!” shouted a woman.
“Wait, please. I do not mean any harm.” I lifted my arms upwards – showing I was unarmed.
“We don’t need murderers like him in our village!” Three young a.d.u.l.ts charged at me.
“Move out of the way.” I incapacitated the trio of stupid civilians, “I don’t have the time now to deal with the likes of you.”
“Kill him!” came a woman’s shrill cry from somewhere inside the crowd.
‘Damnit! Why do I even bother? ‘ (Water Release: Bubble Technique – Drift) I jumped over the mob and created a rather big bubble in front of me. Standing inside it, I let the wind waft me away towards my destination.
——–
“What’s up, not Chibi-kun?” Kaname greeted the grey-haired shorty in a hunter-nin mask.
“We had a talk.” Mei replied, smiling, “not Yagura-kun wants to atone for his sins. I will just release a gossip of him being my secret agent throughout the civil war.”
“Hmm, atonement it is. Let’s call you Tsugunai, what do you think?” [Ggl Tl. Atonement – jp. Tsugunai]
“Yes, I think it would work with me. Thank you, Kaname-san. For everything you did for our village and Mei-chan.”
“I knew it, I have a knack for nicknames, and you’re welcome.”
“Where is Utakata-san? I thought he would be here to meet you?” Mei inquired.
“Maybe something held him back. Just tell him we went back to Konoha, Mei-chan. See you later, and protect each other.” Kaname waved her hand towards the duo and marched west with her students at her back.
When Kaname reached the tree line bordering the village, her waist got suddenly enveloped by a slimy appendage. “Oya? So you got here in tim-” she got yanked back into the waiting arms of a tall jinchriki.
Utakata caught the back of her head and leaned downed just a little, making Kaname look straight into his brown eyes, “Couldn’t you just wait a moment longer for me, Kana-chan?”
“Heh, I knew you wouldn’t miss the occasion, Snail Boy.” she kissed him hungrily. Hot kisses quickly turned into a mild make out session in the middle of the clearing. A minute later, Kaname pulled her head away, taking deep breaths and smiling seductively.
Utakata, still light-headed, blurted out, “Kana-chan, will you be my girlfriend?”
“Hehehe, you got ballsy, Snail Boy. Let me think about it, meet me in Konoha for your answer.” she winked and gave him a light kiss, “Mei-chan, I asked you to not give him any pieces of advice.”
“Well, that was hot… And I did not speak to Utakata-san about you at all.”
“Hmm…” Kaname’s head turned towards her students, “Izumi-chan…”
The said girl just found her finger-nails to be very interesting, “Yes, Sensei?”
“*Sigh* You guys too?” she turned her eyes towards the male part of her team.
“I apologize. Izumi was very persuasive, and we knew you liked Utakata-san.” the masked teen bowed his head in apology.
“You work to slow, Kaname-sensei! He is the only one that can protect you adequately.”
“Heh, thanks, kids.” she snorted, turning her head back towards the man holding her waist, “Will you let me go now, Snail Boy? I promise I will wait for you in Konoha.”
“Hmm, I don’t think so, I liked where we were before. Mind repeating that?”
“Hahaha.” Kaname laughed out loud, she moved her mouth next to Utakata’s ear and whispered, “Just you wait till we meet in Konoha, I will show you something that you will like much more than a simple make-out session.”
She playfully bit his earlobe and pushed Utakata back, “Heh-hehe. We will meet soon, Kana-chan.”
“I will hold you on that promise, Snail Boy. Take care.” Kaname smiled radiantly, joining her students. Now quickly venturing deep into the forest.
“Mei-san, I want to use one of my favors to you.”
“*Sigh* I know where this is going…” the auburn-haired woman complained.
“I see our plan worked out,” Izumi stated, once all for of them reached the shores.
“Why would you say so?”
“Because you’re all smiles now, Sensei,” Koji replied.
“Ah, that. I’m just thinking about how to prank the shit out of you in revenge.”
“Why were you called back, Kaname-sensei?” the Aburame clan member derailed the topic.
“Jiji landed himself on a bed, Torune-kun. Without my mother able to overlook the hospital, everything is in shambles out there. Unfortunately, no one knows where Tsunade Senju is, so I’m their best bet.”
———
“Hmm. Okay, stay back. We have someone to greet me personally.” Kaname put her palms in a cross shape and created a shadow clone.
“Follow the clone,” she ordered.
“Ah, Naru-chan is waiting in an ambush?” Izumi inquired, looking further down the street.
“Hehe, yeah. Naru-chan tries to beat me, just for me to teach him more stuff. See you in a moment.” Kaname flickered away.
Four orange-clad clones jumped as one trying to overwhelm Kana-1 with numbers, the black-haired Uchiha instantly puffed them out of existence, using a limb for each one.
“Ugh, I give!” Naruto felt a kunai put at his throat.
“Good choice, Naru-chan.” Kaname hugged the boy.
“Damn, Dobe. You got destroyed…”
“Nee-san… are you, ehm~, alright?”
“Sis, how did you know it was me? There were twenty more clones hidden in the bushes. ~ttebayo”
“It’s your eyes, Naru-chan. You were worried about hurting me.”
“Hehe. It’s good to have you back home, Sis.” Naruto hugged his older sister back.
“Tadaima.” [I’m home.]
——–
“I’m too old for this shit…” he grumbled out.
“Meh, don’t mind the details, Jiji.” Kaname snorted, “It was just a plain heart attack, noting your age and responsibilities, it would come sooner or later. You are safe with me here.”
“Yeah, I just received an ANBU report about a successful raid on one of my late student’s hidden labs… It was gruesome.”
“I can believe that. But for the good news, the civil war in Mizu is finished. I even got myself a title of Kage Murderer, hip-hip-hurray for me…”
“Hmm? Didn’t you say that young Yagura-kun was controlled? Wasn’t there another way, Kana-chan?”
“The Fourth Mizukage is dead, I can’t say anything else.” she winked at the old man.
“I see, thank you for your hard work. Anything else?”
“Yeah, three things. Firstly, we will have a new permanent resident in Konoha. Snail Boy will soon come over.”
“Hmm, I wish you the best, Kana-chan.”
“Thanks, Jiji. Secondly, it’s about your offer. Kids get in.” Kaname called out.
“And how did they do? Is he ready?” Hokage asked seriously, making the young a.d.u.l.ts frown in question.
“Yep, I nominate Aburame Torune as a new Tokubetsu Jnin. I only need your approval, Jiji.”
“Wait a moment, Sensei. Me? But Izumi-chan has the evolved Sharingan, logically she would be a better choice.” Torune shot back.
“Zip it, Torune. You are the brains of our team. Nor I, nor Baka-Koji, would be able to lead the team as well as you can. Just say yes, already.” Izumi’s words were met with a nod of the brown-haired teammate on her right.
“I understand. I’m sorry, Hokage-sama. I did not take a commendation as a viable outcome of our mission.”
“Not a problem, Torune-kun. You could learn something from your own student, Kana-chan.”
The black-haired Uchiha cleared her ear with a pinky finger, “You said something, Jiji?”
“*Sigh* Whatever… And the fourth piece of news?”
“I know with who we’re playing against, but looking at your health at the moment, I will leave it for later.”
“Someone I know?”
“Not personally, but yes, you heard about him, Jiji. We will talk later, get better for now.”
Hokage rose his eyebrow, “Later – I will only get older. From what I know, there is no cure for old age.”
“No, there isn’t, but with me here, I will make sure you stay healthier than most of your shinobis.”
“Good job, past me. I hid my alcohol stash before you came.” the old Hokage snorted with a gruff laugh.
“Don’t you worry, I will find it sooner or later, Jiji.”
“*Grumble*… A piece of info from my side. You may not know, but Kuma-kun died during the last attack, leaving the ANBU without its leader.”
“Yeah, I know.”
“Eh? How the heck?”
“What do you mean? I saw his own son impale him on a ninjato.”
“… Do I want to know from when you knew his secret?”
“Fugaku-san was a very busy man, entire Police Force, and ANBU corps were on his head, just wow. I did not suspect him until he came to take me down from my first flight over Konoha. I noticed the glowing red Sharingan glaring at me under the bear’s mask.”
“*Sigh*” the old man massaged his forehead, “I acquired a replacement for the position, a new Kuma-kun needs a right-hand… woman. We thought of you. Kuma-kun, come.”
A man in ANBU outfit with a bear mask flickered kneeling next to the hospital bed, he had a muscular build, and his black hair was combed to the side of his masked face.
“Okay, I did not expect that… Hi, Aniki.”
“I’m not sure who you are thinking I am, but I’m surely not your brother, Little Squirt. You may call me, Your Ill.u.s.trious Excellency.”
…
“What the f.u.c.k.i.n.g f.u.c.k?” Anko shouted out, dodging Kaname’s strike, “He just left you hanging like that for five days already?!”
“Not exactly. Snail Boy will come to Konoha once he finishes all of his issues in Land of Water.” Kaname replied, dodging the attack from two sides by Anko and Pakura.
“Are you holding back on us?”
“Yes and no, Paku-chan. Most of my techniques are lethal-kind, as you know. There is one more move I mastered yesterday. But I wouldn’t want it to be known I did for a long time.”
“Don’t change the topic!” her loudmouth friend cried out, counterattacking Kaname, “Ya~ know, if you need to have someone to talk to, I can bunk for a week with you.”
“Why for only a week?” Pakura stopped looking at Anko.
“I would be so itching for fun, I would violate a stray dog just to have something inside my p-*Guh*!”
“I think we broke her, Paku-chan. And too many details Anko!” Kaname punched the air out of the saw-ponytailed kunoichi’s lungs.
“*Psst* Kana-chan.”
“What is it, Paku-chan?”
“Look behind you.” the green-haired woman pointed above her head. There was a flying soap bubble high in the air, with a man sitting in the middle of it. It took Utakata just thirty seconds to float down next to the trio.
“Ehh… Hi?” he scratched the side of his head.
“Pft… Hahaha.” Kaname laughed out, “Anko, do you want to see my ultimate seducing move?”
“Hmm, sure.”
“I want it to be a secret. Swear it on your Dango.” Kaname ordered.
“On the food of the gods? No way!”
“Anko, do it,” Pakura asked nicely.
“Ugh… Okay, okay… I promise on Dango, I will not blurt out any details about your technique, Kana-chan.”
“Good enough.” Kaname bolted towards Utakata at top speed, crashing into his body. Both of them instantly evaporated in a flash of red fire.
“Eh?” Both women looked at Kaname’s last known position.
“Was that…”
“Hahahahaha. I think Kana-chan did it. Hahahaha!” Anko rolled on the ground in a fit of laughs.
—-
As Kaname crashed into him, Utakata felt his feet lose contact with the ground, and he fell on his back. His eyes got blinded by a red light. Utakata expected to hit the cold, hard ground, instead, he felt a comfortable mattress on his back. Blinking out the dizziness, he noticed they were inside Kaname’s bedroom.
“Ugh, what was that, Kana-chan? How did we get in here so fast?”
Kaname imitated cat-like movements climbing on top of Utakata’s prone body, “Talk later.” she replied, pulling her shirt over her head.
“*Gulp* You’re perfect.”
“Thanks. I said you will like it more than a simple make-out session.” she leaned in and kissed her boyfriend.
