Uchiha’s Butterfly - Volume 3 Chapter 91 A Weird Date
Kaname walked out of her bedroom in a blue kimono loosely dr.a.p.ed over her shoulders. Entering her kitchen, she noticed a small slip of paper with two instant ramen-noodle cups laying next to it. Pulling the message to her eyes, she read it.
‘Sis, I went to crash the night at granny’s house. Next time use freaking silencing seals!!!
P.S. I prepared breakfast for both of you. Bon aptit.’
“…Oops.” Kaname put Naruto’s note down on the table, looking at the cups of ramen, she shrugged her shoulders and prepared the water to fill the instant-noodles.
Utakata sneaked behind her and kissed her cheek, “Hi, my love.”
“Morning, how are you feeling?” she smiled.
“… I’m super spent.”
“Hahaha, do you want to say you did not like it?”
“No-no, especially the morning, that was an unusual way of waking me up, Kana-chan, pleasurable, but unusual.”
“Anko-chan’s school. And I hate losing, now we’re tied.” Kaname winked at Utakata, turning her head towards him, she noticed he was n.a.k.e.d only in his boxers. The Uchiha kept ogling her partner up and down with a seductive smile on her face.
“Nope, it’s enough, Kana-chan. Stop devouring me with your eyes – you’re wearing my clothes!” Utakata pointed at the blue kimono.
“Hmm, it’s comfy and smells like you. I couldn’t find yesterday’s clothes, so I dr.a.p.ed on something at the reach of my hand,” Kaname explained.
“Ah! I think you may have thrown them outside the window.”
“Wha-? Why?”
“Hahaha, don’t ask me, Kana-chan.” he laughed out.
—–
“Where did you hide the masks, Kana-chan?” the silver-haired jnin called out to her in the middle of a corridor.
“Hi, Doofus-kun. What masks? You have got one on your nose already.” Kaname deadpanned.
“I’m talking about animal face-covers each one of us has to wear during the duty. They all disappeared this morning.”
“Oh, those. Follow me, Doofus-kun.” Kaname led him towards the cantine, “So, do you hear any difference?”
Kakashi looked around a cafeteria, “What? It looks normal to me.”
“Nope. I asked you to listen to them.”
Kakashi noticed the difference – his previous faceless, silent, and gloomy associates began to sit next to each other and started their own discussions.
“For as long as I’m here, no one will eat his lunch in silence. It’s freaking depressing if you ask me.” Kaname explained.
“But… how?”
“Full face masks take away our basic emotion of empathy. They are useful on a mission, but here they make all of us emotionless solitary pricks. Oh, is that Yugao-chan talking with Hayate-kun?” Kaname pointed at the purple-haired woman.
“*Sigh* Yes, Kana-chan, recently they started sparring against each other, we have two very experienced kenjutsu users. It’s not important at the moment. There is still a problem with the masks – ANBU can’t leave the premises without one.”
“I left my clone at the exit – she has all of them, Doofus-kun. Bye, I need to meet with Aniki.” she waved him goodbye, going towards the commander’s office.
“… Nope, I did not hear a thing. She did not just speak about the confidential identity of ANBU commander.”
…
“Take. Your. Feet. Out. Of. My. Desk.” Ryuichi growled out.
“Meh. You’re no fun, Aniki.” Kaname pulled her long legs back-down towards the ground, puffing out three large bubbles using Utakata’s pipe,
*Cough-cough* F.u.c.k, it went the wrong way. How the heck does he do that?” she swore as she felt the taste of soap on the tongue.
“*Sigh* For the last week you just bunked here, eating cookies and annoying the shit out of me, Little Squirt. And what’s with the pipe? Are you smoking?”
“Nah, Utakata is sleeping, I borrowed it to deal with boredom.”
“No wonder. I heard of what happened from your kid.”
“Just give me something to do, and don’t speak about it to mom.”
“It’s too late for our mother… Hmm, the number and overall quality of our ANBU dropped considerably after the last attack, any ideas?”
“Make ANBU such an elite force that Konoha’s ninjas will strive to get drafted, Aniki.”
“Easier said than done.” her brother complained.
“Ah, leave it to me. I have got an idea – I heard we have a retired training freak waiting for something *ahem* youthful to do.”
“With the two of you, I’m already worried about the future of Konohagakure’s ANBU…”
—–
“Here you are! I was looking for you.” a blue-clad jinchriki flickered next to Kaname, “Where are you going?” Utakata put his arm around her waist.
Kaname pulled her h.i.p.s towards Utakata’s and comfortably rested her head on his shoulder, “A super-duper top-secret job for ANBU, Snail Boy. Want to join me for a little stroll?”
“If it’s with you, Kana-chan, then sure. Lead on.”
“Hah, I’m not so sure you will like what I have planned – I’m to meet with Duy-san.”
“Ugh, will Guy challenge me for a spar… again?”
“Yep, he likes you,” Kaname smirked, poking his side. Their conversation was interrupted by a loud rumbling of a stomach and Kaname’s shy smile.
“Hahaha, all this rumbling, I think it’s going to rain today.” Utakata jibed, looking in the sky, “You should get a little break.”
“Hmm, Yakiniku Q is closeby. Come, it’s the best salted beef tongue in Konoha.”
“I’m paying.”
Kaname shrugged his concerns away, “Be my guest. I never took you for a generous person, Snail Boy.”
“Mei-san gave me a small reward for our mission Kana-chan. I have more than enough for a small date.”
“A date, eh? Sure, if you wish to call it that way. Let’s make it an unforgettable one.” They walked side-by-side through a busy street, “Oh, here it is!” Kaname pointed at the two-story square building with a small signboard on its side with the name of the restaurant.
“Hi Sensei, Utakata-san!” a cheery voice called them from their back.
“What’s up, Izumi-chan. Hoo~ I didn’t know Jiraya-san is back, how do you do Itachi-kun?” Kaname smiled at the boy, “Here on a date?”
Utakata watched a tall teen Izumi’s age, the boy walked with a confident gait and a calm smile. He had onyx Kaname-like eyes, under which were long, pronounced tear-troughs. Itachi had jet-black hair that was pulled back in a low ponytail with his face framed by center-parted bangs that extended to his chin. His clothes consisted of a greyish-green loose T-shirt, bandages around his ankles, grey pants, and black-wood sandals.
“Hi, Nee-san. Yes, we are. Jiraya-sensei came back only for a day, as he called it: to recharge himself. Most likely – he is at the Hot Springs.” Kaname’s apparent foster brother nodded his head, “Nice to meet you as well, Utakata-san. I heard a lot about you from Izumi-chan.”
“Hello, Itachi-san. Do you two want to join us? I’m resolved to paying today, and I owe Izumi-chan a thing or two.” Utakata pointed behind his back at the restaurant.
“Hmm, su-” Izumi pulled Itachi’s arm towards her.
“No thanks, Utakata-san. I believe it would interrupt the plan Sensei worked out for today.”
“What plan?” jinchriki turned to Kaname, only to see her smile sadistically back at him.
As two pairs entered, Itachi whispered to his partner, “What’s going on, Izumi-chan?”
“Did you see her face? Sensei is a huntress on the prowl at the moment. We should not disturb them.”
“Wait, what do you mean?”
“Hehehe,” Izumi scr.a.p.ed the top of her head bashfully, “I may have played a matchmaker between the two a tiny bit.”
Jiraya’s student facepalmed, “*Sigh* I see you took example out of Nee-san. You are just like her when she was younger.”
“Hmm, thanks, that’s sweet of you.” Izumi smiled sarcastically.
“Heh. Come on, Izumi-chan, let’s get something to eat.”
…
Kaname walked into a private booth with Utakata right behind her.
“What do you want to eat? The Menu is on the wall,” she called out.
“Hmm, what will you take? I don’t know any of those.”
“The Royal Cuisine for me.” her eyelashes fluttered with amus.e.m.e.nt.
“Of course, you had to take the most expensive one…”
They both sat at a low table and waited for their order to arrive. Soon a well-rounded older woman entered their private room with a plate of meat. Utakata listened to her explanation on how to operate the grill when he noticed Kaname foot touch his ankle, sensually massaging his leg below the table.
“Um, Kana-chan?”
“Yes?” she smiled with a knowing smirk.
“I’m sorry, is there a problem?” the waitress asked.
“No-no, Utakata is only worried if I would be able to use the brazier myself,” Kaname replied, slowly moving her extended leg upwards.
“Ah, then do not worry, dear customer. Kaname-san is a regular in our restaurant.”
*Bang* Utakata’s fist struck the table. After some thought, he faked a coughing fit, “… *Cough-cough* I’m sorry. Thank you for your explanation.”
The woman’s eyes moved between the two. Kaname was twitching, barely holding back herself from laughing, while the brown-haired man sitting across from the Uchiha glared at her. “… Ah, to be young again.” the woman reminisced as she smiled with purpose, “If you have any questions – use the bell. Enjoy the meal, my dears.” with those words, she left the booth.
…
Twenty minutes later, the duo was wandering around Konoha walls, looking for their targets.
“You are insane, Kana-chan. We almost got caught.”
“Hahaha, nope, I think the waitress noticed what is going on.”
“Couldn’t you wait?”
“I like watching you squirm, Snail Boy.” Kaname purred.
“Hoo~ let’s see who will make who squirm.” Utakata caught Kaname’s arm and led her behind the treeline.
“Kyaa~!” Kaname cried out, amused.
—–
“Muhahaha! Hello! I see your youthful heart burns stronger than ever, Kana-chan! You’re almost glowing with spirit!”
“Yo, Duy-san. Hi, Guy.”
“Ha! And you look like shit, Utakata-san! You need more youthful energy! Come join me, the first one that finishes ten laps around Konoha wins!”
“*Sigh* I’m sorry, Duy-san. I just had a close meeting with a life-sucking demon, I’m tired.”
“Utakata-san! I request our daily spar!” Guy jumped in.
“Wait! Can we postpone it for a later day, Guy?”
“What are you talking about, Snail Boy? Go on, have some fun with Guy, it’s the most Youthful thing to do. I have to talk with Duy-san.” Kaname mocked.
“Ugh, not you too.”
“Ooooh!” Guy shouted out with fire in his eyes, “Kana-chan understands! Prepare yourself, Utakata-san!”
“Begin!” Duy roared out, making his son shot out towards unprepared Utakata. “So what do you need of me, Kana-chan?”
“I have a small problem, and I need your help, Duy-san. Are you willing to-”
“Yes.” He interrupted her.
“That was easy… I didn’t even say what I need you for.”
“Haha. It’s you, Kana-chan. I will do whatever you want, just point me towards your problem.”
“I need your help with the training of ANBU. I’m giving you a free hand on how you would do it – order them to wear the green spandex, for all I care.”
“Hey! It’s very comfortable!”
“You will get a salary, some bodyguards-” Kaname continued, not minding Duy’s protest.
“Wait! I don’t need any of it. If I can make ANBU even more youthful than it currently is, I will do it of my own will!”
‘I can’t wait to watch Doofus-kun run around Konoha screaming ‘YOUTH!’ every third of his step, hehehe. It will be brutal.’ she thought with an evil smirk on her face, “Let’s leave it for later, Duy-san. So will you help me?”
“Of course.”
“Thanks.” Kaname turned her head towards the sparring session.
—-
In the eyes of Utakata, his opponent was like a bulldozer in close-quarter combat. Typically, you would just dodge away from such combatants and wait for them to tire out, but it’s Guy – The Green Beast of Konoha just does not tire out. You need to outsmart him, hoping he won’t catch you before you spring your trap. But there was someone much, much more problematic to duel against, and sparring against her allowed Utakata to rig up some plans for today’s fight.
Utakata jumped backward, leaving behind his soap bubble clone. His doppelganger was quickly mowed down by Guy’s kick, but the slight delay let Utakata reach the treeline. Using his pipe, he filled their battlefield in soap bubbles that soon popped, releasing a mist into the air.
“Hahaha! I like fighting with you, Utakata-san! You’re always showing something new to me!” From under his vest, Guy pulled out his three-pronged nunchaku. Quickly gaining speed in rotating it around his body, the weapon soon started expelling gusts of wind, effectively clearing the air.
‘Nope, that did not happen. I’m sure there is a law of nature saying that’s impossible.’ Kaname reassured herself.
Noticing his target, Guy shot out towards Utakata, landing beneath kimono-clad ninja’s feet. He kicked his chin, sending Utakata into the air.
“Ha, I have got you now!” the Green Beast flickered behind Utakata’s stunned body and caught him in a cocoon of bandaids. Taking hold of the jinchriki, he aimed both of their heads towards the ground, “!” [Front Lotus]
“Good fight, Guy,” Utakata replied, popping out of existence and releasing a dark oily substance that temporarily blinded his sparring partner.
*Crash*!
“Muhahaha! That’s not the end, Utakata-san!” Guy shouted out, Kaname felt his chakra build up inside his body in the deliberate scheme.
“Be right back, Kana-chan.” Duy pulled out the weights from his wristbands and let them fall on the ground. Kaname was awed when the metal quickly started sinking deeper and deeper into the ground.
When the old man touched the wheels of his chair, he simply disappeared only to land on his son’s face half a second later, ‘The f-?’ Kaname blinked in amazement.
“Geh!” Guy got instantly knocked down on the ground.
“Bakamono! You don’t use the Eight Gates on a friendly spar!” [‘Bakamono’ – Tl. ‘You fool!’]
“Ah! I got overzealous! I’m sorry, Utakata-san, Pops!” The Green Beast quickly stood up and apologized, his face marred by a skid mark going between his eyes.
“Hey, Duy-san.” Kaname walked towards the group, “How did you use ? I diagnosed you myself. Your body won’t produce any chakra.” [Flickering Technique]
“What do you mean, Kana-chan? It was just pure arm strength.”
“I see. Good for you, I suppose. Now, I believe you should get your chakra metal back before it reaches the mantle…”
“Right. It’s your punishment, son, fetch me the weights. You can’t use your hands!”
“Ha! Watch me, Pops!” Guy bolted towards the holes.
“But, it’s impossible, how-” Utakata inquired.
“You ask, you lose, Snail Boy. You will get used to them braking the laws of physics.”
————-
[Akatsuki Hideout]
“Orochimaru.” A voice hidden behind the purple eyes called towards him.
“Yess~, Leader-ssama~?”
“You have your spies in Konoha, is it true that the Hidden Leaf acquired another jinchriki?”
“I did not receive a notice of it, but it’ss~ a likely outcome.”
“Hmm, with so much strength and a new ally, Konoha will be able to start war once again.”
“Is she alive?”
“Yess~, ssomehow~ sshe~ ssurvived~ even after Kakuzu ripped the heart out of her body. You were right, Kana-chan iss~ hard to kill. Even for the likess~ of uss~.”
“Ha! I told you so! I was sure I killed her once before!”
“That doesn’t make it any better, shit stain. You always make sure that once your opponent is dead, it stays dead.” the human-shark seethed out.
“F.u.c.k you, Kisame. From what I have heard, you got destroyed by her.”
“And you were any better, shit stain?”
“I’m stronger than-”
“Silence!” the leader growled out, making the cave and the statue tremble in his anger, “Orochimaru, I want Konoha on its knees.” His purple eyes moved towards the masked member then back towards me, “You are the only one that knows its secrets. We’re sure you have an easy in. Plan an attack on the village – make sure to bring both jinchrikis back with you. You can kill your teacher and Kaname Uchiha.”
“As~ you wissh~. But I may need help with Kana-chan, you all experienced her prowess~ by now, sshe~ iss~ dangerouss~ to our planss~.”
“… Zetsu, Azrail. You are to destroy the village with Orochimaru.”
“Huhuhu, with pleasure.” the vegetable-thing acknowledged the order.
“This time, the bitch is mine!” my stupid puppet added.
“Orochimaru.”
“Yess~, Leader-ssama~?”
“No failures. That’s your last chance.”
“I undersstand~.” I bowed my head, waiting for all Akatsuki’s phantom to disappear, ‘Hmph, Akatsuki is useless to me now, but him. I can use him for so much good, Fufufu.’ I watched the last member walking towards me.
“I will show her what a man is!”
‘More likely, she will kick the shit out of your head.’ I smiled at his words, “It would be impossible~ without your help.”
“This time, she won’t ever see me coming. I received a boost by implanting her eyes into my arm! Hahaha.”
‘Fool. Those eyes will soon be mine.’ I nodded my head, “Before we kill Kana-chan, what do you think about breaking her heart firsst~?”
“I’m all ears, how so?”
“By killing ssomeone~ closse~ to her, make her feel desspair~.”
“Let’s kill Naruto, canon is shot to pieces already. He is no longer necessary. And I’m here if Kaguya comes out.”
‘Kaguya? Hmm, something to research later. And you can’t kill the jinchriki, you fool. The leader would skin your arse for that.’ I donned a thinking pose, “No, he is usseful~ to Akatssuk~i, we can’t kill him yet.”
“Then… What about her brother? He shouldn’t be here either way, and I would love to show his head to the bitch.”
‘More likely – Ryuichi would show your own empty head to Kana-chan… Why is it always so hard to find thinking puppets?’ I turned my head from left to right, “Impossible~, he can’t be found, my spiess~ losst~ track of Ryuichi-kun. If there was~ ssomeone~ harmless~ and older than Kana-chan…” I hinted at my target. ‘Was it too much of a hint? With him? Nothing less would work…”
“I know! Her mother is blind! She would be an easy target!”
“Oh my! You are sso~ ruthless~. I like your plan.” I laughed out, walking into a dark, moist cave.
