Unbreakable - Chapter 118
The side showed 6 and then flipped over to show the number 5 also. Even this wasn’t random.
‘It’s between a 5 and 6.’
Based on his experience, Chanyul knew that the power difference was double to triple the amount.
“Hehe…” Chanyul’s expression relaxed as he smiled. “You want to talk for a moment?”
“I don’t know what you did, but you seem happy.”
“Yeah, it’s good for you too.”
He was now a strong man looking down onto a weakling.
“If you were a dangerous enemy, I would have to crush you.”
“But it’s different now?”
“Of course.” Chanyul assured him, “I will give you time.”
Dohyuk was probably frustrated. There was probably a massacre going on between their groups of men.
“Tell me everything that you think I need to hear from you. After I hear it all, I’ll consider what I should do with you.”
“…”
“I have the patience to hear you out for a while, but it might be better for you to make it short…”
“Why don’t you pray to your god?”
Chanyul frowned. “What?”
“Pray. That’s all I have to say to you.”
For the first few seconds, Chanyul thought it was reckless taunt. But it didn’t take long for him to realize.
“Ba’dense of the Tempest? Is that the god you serve?”
“….!”
How did he know the name?
Five months ago, Chanyul did not serve any god. When he was under Jung Ilgyu, every member of the Circle was denied having any religion other than a few exceptions for certain purposes. But it changed after Ilgyu died. Regardless, religion was a way to increase Strength without increasing one’s stats.
That’s why Chanyul chose Ba’dense.
God of the Tempest. It was through his godly power that allowed Chanyul and his men to run at an incredible speed a while ago.
“When… did you spy on us?”
“Who cares?” Dohyuk shrugged, “I’m just letting you know in case you might regret it later. You’ll need all of his godly power to perform your best.”
Chanyul then pulled out an H-shape chakram from the back of his waist. It was the godly item he had received from Ba’dense himself.
“So, you won’t pray?”
“You will need that more. I changed my mind.”
Chanyul growled. He was not going to borrow the power from his god. Gods were powerful, but they also had weaknesses. If Yoo Dohyuk had prepared for it… even then, there was no way Chanyul was going to lose. But he wasn’t happy. Neither did he intend to do what Dohyuk just suggested either.
“I’ll skin you alive and put you on a stake.”
He felt something was going wrong, however. From the point when Yoo Dohyuk was aware of their attack, he might have realized that something wasn’t right.
“Do you know that if you have enough points in stamina, you can still stay alive in that state? You will set an example for your slaves for who is in charge here.”
“…”
He just looked at his face.
“Yeah, yeah.”
It wasn’t even a taunt. As if he was a doctor casually giving advice to a patient, he said, “Even if you talk about when you win at this point…”
Before he could finish, Chanyul twisted his body. His two legs jumped and his hand with the chakram moved in a big circle. It was as if he was punching Dohyuk with a hook. His arm was then covered with a stormy wind. If the wind shot past Dohyuk’s face, all of his skin would be torn away from his face.
But why? The wind stopped. His arm stopped in the air.
“Whew.”
Dohyuk was already 20 steps back. His face, which should’ve been struck by Chanyul’s arm, was also about that far.
But it wasn’t only the face.
“It’s a bit different than it looks. So is this a Godly Item from Ba’dense?”
“…”
Chanyul felt his eyes shake. He looked at his arm in the air. The chakram he was holding just moments ago was no more.
“It sure has a terrifying ability. I can’t even use or digest it.”
Dohyuk then swung the chakram in his hand and –
“Here.”
He threw it back to the original owner, Chanyul. And Chanyul almost missed catching it because he was too shocked to move.
Toward dumbfounded Kim Chanyul, Dohyuk declared for the last time, “Pray.”
“If you don’t call your master, you will not win.”
Even though he was the one who said it, Dohyuk thought, ‘I sound like a douchebag.’
But actually, what he had done, or was trying to do, was very arrogant. Dohyuk remembered what Giwon said to him.
‘Kim Chanyul is a reckless but cautious man. He looks down on weak men and avoids any fight that might put him in danger. He only unleashes his true power when he faces a strong man. That’s why he needs to be reckless before he is beaten.’
‘I’m sorry, Giwon,’ Dohyuk then saw a faint presence surrounding Chanyul. It was proof that the god Ba’dense was providing his follower with his godly power.
Dohyuk had known Chanyul for a while now. Of course, as Chanyuk knew, no one in the city or Dohyuk ever left the region. There were multiple reasons for doing so, but one of the reasons was because they didn’t need to look for themselves. Messengers with a rich amount of information were always coming and going out of their city.
Bermurans.
The treaty he made with Aruga still stood. It wasn’t only limited to lending farming knowledge and skills, so the Bermurans were also bringing in the information they gathered throughout all of Busan to Dohyuk’s city.
Chanyul and his men did not even care about coming into contact with a weak god like Aruga. They saw the Bermurans helping Dohyuk’s city, but they just thought it was peculiar and never gave it a second thought that they were eagerly helping the humans of this world.
That’s how Dohyuk and Giwon knew about Chanyul and constantly received reports on him. They were given information on how large his group was, where and how he gained his power, and which god he served.
But Dohyuk’s actions from earlier were far from an answer. He could’ve finished him already. When he grabbed the weapon, he should’ve made Chanyul pay the price for underestimating his enemy, just like how Giwon advised him.
Dohyuk did not do that.
“You are an assh*le.”
“….?!”
Chanyul’s face froze while he was receiving his godly power.
“You are like a hyena who snuck into the empty house to fill yourself. You are no match for the real ones.”
The language toward Chanyul
“Stats, environments, numbers… there might be more powerful enemies. So…”
He was actually speaking to himself. “So I hate to do this, but I have to defeat you ‘easily’ while you are at your best.”
“What the f*ck are you saying!”
Dohyuk had coins. When he went to fight Chanyul, Giwon advised him to use all those coins to invest in stats. He also advised Dohyuk to eat some of the equipment in storage stored to increase his power.
He also advised him and Yuri along with the entire population of the city to standby and watch the fight just in case.
Dohyuk agreed to all of his advice, but he did not follow it. He was being arrogant for the first time.
He still had the same stats from five months ago, and he was fighting alone.
“You are mad.”
The air around Chanyul began to churn like a storm. He had finished his prayer and now he was at full power. Dohyuk brandished his weapon toward the enemy with their godly power.
There was only one change he had achieved during those five months.
[Upgraded – Flying Master Kicks]
[Proficiency level 10/10]
[Transfer rate: 99.99%]
And then he spoke.
“Double.”
