Unbreakable - Chapter 131
Chapter 131: It’s over (1)
Just then, a slender figure appeared from behind Dohyuk, stretching as if she just woke up.
“Heeeeeeh.”
The voice sounded like a teenage girl who hated waking up to go to school.
“Why are you so lateeeeee!”
“…”
The girl began to rant.
“You always only take me out when you need me! I just want to play a little…”
Kasha. Ex-goddess of Fire. The Parasitic Spirit that lived inside Dohyuk had grown a lot. She wasn’t a miniature spirit like before; she was more like a teenage girl with a materialized body. The amount of faith that Dohyuk provided to Kasha had allowed her to evolve into a high-level spirit.
“You baddie! You’re bad!”
For five seconds, she jabbed at Dohyuk with multiple words.
“…”
And then became silent.
“Are you… going to tell me to shut up again?”
“No.” Dohyuk answered. He wanted to, but he needed her right now.
The metal giant swung his fist, this time much faster than the previous attack, when it was trying to capture Dohyuk alive. He reacted right away.
There were three powers that Dohyuk could borrow from Kasha.
The first one was to wield flame. As long as Dohyuk supplied enough mana, the flame would surround Dohyuk’s body to protect him and it lasted as long as there was mana. However, it was a normal flame that didn’t harm Dohyuk and gave him a higher resistance against flames. It was a power that could be overcome with equipment, as Yuri had put it.
The second was the flame that created ashes. It was a power that was borrowed by feeding faith. Dohyuk guessed that it was the remnants from Kasha who was once a goddess, and the power was formidable. Once it caught on, the flame could never put out. It kept burning as it grew in size and ended up leaving the target in ashes.
Dohyuk was able to achieve many victories through this flame against powerful enemies that he would not have defeated otherwise. But it had a weakness. The flame could only latch onto targets that could be burned. It could light up a living thing, but it wasn’t possible to use it against metal bodies.
-Disappointing.
Dohyuk realized this when he dueled with Blass.
-You really think you can burn my body with that petty flame?
Dohyuk didn’t think it would work. It was just that he was frustrated with no progression and Blass noticed that so he kept on taunting him.
-Either you are too tired, or you are much worse than I expected. Either way, it’s disappointing.
Then Blass proceeded to beat Dohyuk like never before, as if he would kill him. Dohyuk himself even thought that he might die. Of course, Blass never intended to kill Dohyuk. But then…
-Don’t kill my food!!
Dohyuk didn’t mean it at all. Even he couldn’t stop Kasha and she unlocked the third power.
<<Divine Power: Wrath of melting heat>>
Blass quickly withdrew his fist, not because he was scared, but because it was too late.
“ARGH!”
Dohyuk grabbed his face as he rolled on the ground. The heat that covered Dohyuk’s face didn’t hurt him since it was activated by Kasha, and it successfully nullified Blass’s attack.
However, that was too much as half the fist melted almost immediately. And…
-Huh? UH- What?
The melted metal instantly dripped onto Dohyuk’s face.
-A-are you o-okay? Kasha is not bad! I-I was trying to help!
-Saying that doesn’t make it less painful.
Blass looked down at his melted fist.
-I thought I was prepared against heat… but I guess having resistance against heat won’t work against this godly power. It seems that you have acquired a good weapon…
-AAAAAARGH!
-N-N-No! His face has sunk!
-Oh no.
Blass then approached Dohyuk and ripped his melting face away. After the suffering, pain, and regeneration passed, Dohyuk had to add studying Kasha’s power into his tight schedule. It wasn’t easy.
-I dunno. It kind of just happened.
Kasha, for the most part, had no memory. The only thing she knew was her name, and that Dohyuk was her master and food-giver. Also, she loved to chat.
But Dohyuk patiently tested and ultimately achieved a bit of information. He was able to find out the amount of faith he needed to use Kasha’s power, the duration of the skill, and how he could apply it to his martial arts.
And there was a fourth power. A power that, to even Dohyuk and Kasha, was obtained by an extremely lucky coincidence.
…
Dohyuk passed through the giant’s legs and spun.
It was Kasha’s power at the bottom of his feet, or the heat that could melt away even the toughest metal.
And with that, Dohyuk’s kick sliced away one of metal giant’s legs and it fell onto the port.
-If you face an enemy like me, it’s easy to deal with.
Those were Blass’s words.
-Be it metal, or water, or air…
The power of the enemy that controls a certain element will be affected by the quality and amount of the material used.
-The best way, I guess, is to have the enemy not be able to control it anymore. But that is easier said than done. Most of the time, those types of enemies will hide behind their power while they fight.
That was Dohyuk’s current situation. He could not find Cactus Bill after he jumped into the sea. The easiest way was to jump into the sea and find him, but there were multiple metal objects floating on the sea surface to prevent that from happening.
Blass taught him another method
