Unbreakable - Chapter 165
It wasn’t just wide. There was another wall. In a place far across the grasslands, there was another wall.
“…..”
Marie couldn’t hold back her shock and looked around. The wall seemed to circle the entire area. It was about half lower than the city wall, but still much larger.
“Did you… make it on your own?”
“Uh, I guess you can say that.”
At least they weren’t helped from outside sources. It was the wall that Dohyuk made by using his faith. There was sand all over from Aruga’s region, and he combined it with the metal to create a different type of wall. He couldn’t station guards there as it was too wide, but there were watchtowers placed in certain areas. The towers were much taller than the inner city wall and were created solely by metal.
“Let’s go.”
“Oh… yes!”
Marie began to walk. Her amazement did not stop there. Where she was walking on was a ‘road’.
The grassland also changed. It was still green, but there was no empty or barren land. The farmland had gotten really wide. And throughout those fields, there were roads crossing each other in squares. And after that…
“Is that… our tent?!”
“I remember getting the blueprint from you, right?”
“Y-yes… that’s right.”
She never thought tens of tents of this size could be created in such a short amount of time. The embroidery was crude, but the tent was made with fine quality.
“It’s a temporary resting area for farmers, but it’s better than I expected. There are people moving to live here instead of living in the city now.”
“You… you really did make it. I don’t remember trading ingredients… The wood used to make the pole and frames are special too…”
“Yeah, that was hard. If I resolve the plumbing issue, I can create more tents. It’s hard though.”
That wasn’t the only new creation. There were small storages and other processing facilities.
“And that place with a smoke…”
“Oh, you mean a spa?”
“Spa…?”
“Yeah. It’s only in the trial stages though.”
Soon, they were at Yuri’s place. It was a small coliseum-style training ground. There were people training in there.
“Get in.”
“…This is impossible.”
“Huh?”
“N-nothing! It’s nothing. Then…”
Marie shook her head before she ran into the training ground and Dohyuk turned back.
“Yeah, it is impossible,” he laughed. After he went to Dalian City, things had been going really smooth.
-Spread rumors about me and my city.
That was what Dohyuk said to Gukhan as he spared his life. At the time, Dohyuk wasn’t sure if he made the right choice, especially if he could control a beast just by talking. But it seemed like it was possible.
After he finished Kelsed and Vehume’s regions on the first day, Gukhan was already spreading rumors. It wasn’t just because he wanted to earn Dohyuk’s trust. The whole event, beginning from a traveling island to the demise of two regions was a huge topic in itself.
As a result, when Dohyuk drove off the third god from the city, there were many groups watching in the shadows with awe. Dohyuk was a powerful man that they might have seen maybe once or twice throughout their entire lifetime. However, what separated him from the others was the city.
They had never seen such a thing. Normal, working city in this destroyed world? Their disbelief only grew. As the city traveled to drive out gods and collect more, the city grew quickly in size. And in the eyes of those beasts, there was more than just greed. There was envy and admiration. To them, a fully functioning civilization was like an illusion. It could not exist, but it was there in front of them.
They had different ways to achieve their desires, but they too knew the joy of living in that illusion. They didn’t bring the uncorrupt people they captured, but the rumor spread far and wide into inner China.
Dohyuk wasn’t sure how far the rumor had spread, but he had ways to track it.
-Faith: 1,856,223,221
The amount of faith was unbelievable. The power didn’t just come from his followers. The rumor that spread all over the land was the source of Dohyuk’s power now. Because of this, he was able to increase his region and create an outer wall.
And…
When Dohyuk arrived at front of Blass’s gym, he placed his back on the wall and sat down and closed his eyes.
<<Divine Power – Divine Intervention>>
It was the power he found when he first met Giwon. It was a power for Dohyuk to activate on his followers to feel what his follower was feeling and sensing.
There were about 40 thousand people within the city. Soon, Dohyuk found it through heavy concentration. There were followers hundreds of kilometers away.
These were followers Dohyuk had never even met. They just heard rumors and came to believe in Dohyuk. It was about 3 months afterward that Dohyuk realized he could sense them. It required heavy concentration, so it was hard as the distance was further away.
‘It’s not only the distance.’
Dohyuk thought it was probably because of the difference in follower’s faith. The more one believed in Dohyuk, the more power it probably gave to Dohyuk.
Dohyuk’s first goal in coming to China was to find the Swordmaster. But that wasn’t easy as he didn’t have enough information and he couldn’t get too far. Yet as his city grew, and his presence was known, he’d be able to collect information from hundreds of kilometers away.
Dohyuk opened his eyes. The wall was trembling severely. For a hundred days, the dome had been closed off from the public due to Blass’s request.
-If you give me time, I want to create something.
Today was the date that Blass promised he’d be done with it. Dohyuk stood up and turned to Blass, along with his ‘weapon’ that he had been working on for the past hundred days.
