Uncovered - Volume 1 Chapter 23
[Terri’s POV]
I continued staring at the man standing in front of me with shock, he was really the last person I expected to see here. Once he heard my voice he turned around with a smirk on his face before his eyes trailed down my body.
“You look fine, Terri, ” He said, running a hand through his blonde short hair and coming closer to me.
“What are you doing here?” I asked him still shocked, he chuckled.
“What? Not happy to see me?” He joked and I shook my head, taking a step away from him. I didn’t want to be close to him.
“Andrew, I suggest you leave”, I told him, pointing my fingers towards the gate behind him. He frowned and looked at me intensely with his piercing green eyes and I couldn’t help but think that Jace’s eyes were more beautiful.
Snap out of it, Teresa.
” Come on now, you don’t mean that”,
“I said leave Andrew”, I demanded, raising my voice a bit.
Not only did I want to see him ever again, but I also didn’t want anyone else to see him either and especially Jace. Thank God he wasn’t here at the moment because I’m sure he wouldn’t have liked to see Andrew in his house. He didn’t seem to like Correy so I don’t think he will like this man. I turned my attention back to Andrew who standing still with an amused smile on his face. He wasn’t going to give up, was he?
” What happened to you, Terri? You changed. Before you wouldn’t dare talk to me like that”. He stated, getting serious. I gulped as I saw him unzip his black leather jacket and throw he cigarette that rested between his finger on the floor. He stepped on it, never breaking eye contact with me and licked his lips.
“People change and when I escaped from there I did too”, I said, standing my ground. He walked towards me and before I could move away his hand reached out for me and he grabbed my arm, pulling me closer to his body. I quickly looked behind us to make sure that no one was watching and I was relieved to see that we were alone. I didn’t know what they would think if they saw us like this.
” Yes, you did and that kind of turns me on”, He whispered in my ear as his hand slipped down my side. I pressed both my palm on his chest and tried to push him away from me, but that only led to him making his grip tighter around me.
“Who told you the address?”, I asked him.
I doubt that Correy gave to him, he knows how Andrew can. be sometimes and he wouldn’t like Jace to get mad and demand and his money back. So how did he get it? Andrew looked down at me and sighed frustrated that he couldn’t make me give up. I knew better than that. I was once fooled by his good look and a charming personality… Well, that was what I thought before he showed who he truly was and what he was capable of. Sometimes just the memory of it gives me chills. I don’t want to be near him and I don’t want him to touch me.
” I found out myself, Terri”, He said leaving a small kiss on my jawline and I flinched, shutting my eyes. He suddenly started walking, taking me with him. His lips never left my skin and I was about to scream when I felt my back collide with something hard, but I managed to hold back. I opened my eyes to find Andrew in front of me, his now dark eyes staring down at me hungrily, something I didn’t like. I looked around me to see that he had taken us behind one of the big Oak trees. I was terrified. No one was outside the garden to see us and at that point, I wished there was. I didn’t feel safe with Andrew so close to me and hidden.
“Let me go”, I said keeping my voice low. He chuckled, taking the piece of hair that had fallen in front of my face and playing with it.
” Why so bitter today? Don’t you remember how much fun we had?” He asked, making me cringe in disgust. How dare he say that? I only remember crying when I was with him. His kindness to me lasted only for a short period of time, but that wasn’t his real self. It was acting and he was great at that.
“I had fun with you, Andrew. You are a monster just like your boss”, I told him, but it didn’t seem to affect him.
” And that’s where you are wrong, Teresa”, I whispered and brought his face closer to mine as his hand rested on my h.i.p.s. I took in a shaky breath, seeing his lips started approaching mine dangerously fast.
“I am the only one who knows exactly how to please you”, He said and before I had time to process what was happening and react, his lips were on mine and my back was pressed against the tree painfully. His lips were moving against mine demandingly and he licked my bottom lip, asking for entrance, but I kept my kept pressed together. I didn’t respond to the kiss. I felt disgusted and I was fighting to take him off of me. The only thing I wanted at that moment was someone to come and save me… But definitely not the person that decided to show up that exact moment. That person I didn’t want to see me like this.
” What’s going on here?” A deep, raspy voice asked from behind us and that made Andrew pull away immediately with fear evident on his face. I, on the other hand, had frozen his place with wide eyes as I continued looking at Andrew.
“I demanded to know what is happening here”, The same voice said again, sounding more demanding this time and I slowly turned around to come face to face with Jace. My eyes immediately met his and I could see that he was pissed even though he tried to hide it and remain calm and serious. I took a step closer to him and opened my mouth to explain myself to him, but Andrew beat me to that.
” We were kissing”, He replied confidently as a. smirk appeared on his face. Jace gave him a hard glare and then turned his head to me.
“It’s not true, he—-”
“Teresa, don’t lie”, Andrew interrupted me again and wrapped his arm around my waist. Jace’s eyes flickered to his arms and his jaw tensed a bit. I knew Andrew enough to say that he was trying to make Jace angry, and the look on each other’s eyes told me that they had met, but it didn’t end well between them.
They hated each other.
Jace’s eyes had darkened and his nostrils were flaring as he continued staring at him angrily. I swore he was about to punch him, but he didn’t. Instead, he moved forward and grabbed Andrew from the collar of his jacket and pushed him forcefully on the wall, applying pressure.
” Hello, there, old friend”, Andrew said with a wicked smile, making Jace even angrier. What he was trying to achieve with this? At that point, I was sure that Jace’s previous behavior wasn’t because he found me and Andrew kissing, it was for a completely different reason which I didn’t know.
“We are not friends”, Jace said through gritted teeth, wrapping his hand around Andrew’s neck. I gasped that how brutal he could become he was literally choking him. The veins on his neck had popped out as he continuously cursed at Andrew whose face had now become red. He couldn’t breathe properly and I knew that if I didn’t stop Jace now he would kill him as much as I despised Andrew, I wouldn’t like to see him dead from Jace’s hands. So I stepped in.
” Mr. Alaric”, I called, approaching them but he didn’t listen to me. His eyes were glued on Andrew who was desperately trying to free himself and that scared me even more. I placed my palm on his back, feeling the tensed muscles underneath his suit.
“I’m going to f.u.c.k.i.n.g kill you”, Jace shouted.
” Mr. Alaric, please stop”, I said again, raising my voice a bit. He applied more pressure. I was freaking out that he wasn’t letting go of him, so then I did the first thing that came in my mind. I got between his arms which were holding the other man pinned on the tree and took his face in my hands.
“Jace stop! You are going to kill him!”, I yelled and his eyes met mine before widening in realization. He shook his head and took a step back, letting go of Andrew who fell on the ground, trying to fill his lungs with air again. I glanced down at him and then turned my attention back to Jace who had recovered fully and looked like nothing had happened. He fixed his black suit and his hair a bit and then pointed a finger at Andrew.
” You. I want you out of here now! I won’t allow filthy bastards like you to stay around my house”, He said with a raised voice to show that he had the upper hand. The other man stood up and eyed both of us before looking back at Jace.
