Chapter 401: 227 Cut vegetables and fruits
“What did you say?”
Staring at Paul Hopperton, who was gradually becoming arrogant, Dean McKenzie was somewhat taken aback.
“I said, hand over your Divine Attribute. Immediately!”
Paul Hopperton, facing a surprised Dean, was no longer hiding. He demanded with a chilling face and an authoritative tone.
This time Dean heard him clearly.
He shook his head, seemingly helpless, “What if I don’t give it up?”
“Do you think you have that option? Look around!”
Dean was stunned and turned to survey his surroundings.
He noticed, the surroundings were engulfed in holy light at some point.
“We’ve established a Holy Light Barrier here. You can’t escape!”
Dean casually glanced at the brightly shining Holy Light Barrier around him. He calmly stated, “Fly? Why would I need to fly? Isn’t it enough to just defeat all of you? Old Two!”
Seeing the other party’s provocation, Dean grew tired of dealing with them.
With a wave of his hand, he was ready to dismiss them through Doggy Two.
However, his calling out to Old Two didn’t elicit any response from Doggy Two.
Simultaneously, Dean noticed that the members of the Alliance group in front of him were sharing amused smiles.
Dean raised an eyebrow, turned to look at Doggy Two, only to realize that Doggy Two had somehow moved outside the Holy Light Barrier.
“I forgot to tell you, Mr. McKenzie, that our Holy Light Barrier specifically repels summoned creatures. Meaning, within this barrier, you are unable to use your summoned creatures’ abilities.”
Dean finally understood why these individuals were so pompous. They held this card up their sleeve.
Dean’s eyebrow shot up as he spoke icily, “So you believe that I’m useless without the Skeleton? Have you never thought about my strength not solely relying on the Skeleton?”
At this point, he was ready to lay his cards on the table and show this group his real strength.
Yet they remained unconvinced.
Hearing Dean’s words, the Alliance group chuckled, “There’s no need to bluff. Be honest with you, we don’t think that even as a Six-turn, you can accomplish much without the Skeleton.”
“Bluffing won’t do you any good. Either way, we must reclaim the Divine Attribute today.”
“Either give up your Divine Attribute or die here. Choose one.”
Dean shook his head calmly, “I choose neither.”
“Then you really are stubborn. Leo, he’s all yours, without his summoned creatures, you should be able to handle him!”
Paul Hopperton directed his attention towards Leo, the only Seven-turn amongst them.
Leo furrowed his eyebrows, inwardly cursing these old foxes.
These cunning fellows talked big about their control over Dean. But in reality, they were just being cautious, afraid that Dean would reveal some hidden trump card.
They spent so long dawdling, and finally pushed him to take action.
Leo wasn’t pleased about this, but he was at disadvantage with the least seniority among them.
Left with no choice, he stepped forward, looking at Dean arrogantly, “Kid, I’ll give you an opportunity. Give up the artifact now, and I’ll let you live.”
“You…”
Before he could finish his sentence, a voice suddenly cut in, “If you want to lay a finger on him, you’ll have to get through me first!”
The next moment, a light overflowing with blood hue appeared beside Dean. It was none other than Donald Morgan who had just completed his Seven-turn and elevated to the Epic level.
“I swear to protect him. No one can touch him as long as I’m here. Try me if you dare!”
As Donald spoke, there was a burst of energy within him. Behind him, the image of an endless sea of blood surged forward, its intimidating aura spreading across nearly a thousand meters.
Clearly, Donald had become much stronger after his breakthrough, many times compared to before.
At this moment, the only thing Donald felt was that he was invincible. The surging power within him was so potent that even the threat of the Alliance group did not intimidate him.
To him, the eight-member Alliance group was merely made up of disposable pawns.
“Dean, you helped me kill the Bloody God and complete the ritual. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t return the favor. Let me take care of this little trouble for you!”
“Well, you actually don’t have to…”
Dean scratched his head and started to discourage his ally from being too rash. However, even before he finished his sentence, the transformed Donald, completely immersed in his newfound omnipotent feeling, immediately launched his attack.
The charges were ferocious.
It was as fleeting as Guan Yu who intended to behead Hua Xiong with heated wine, as in the old saying, or as recklessly heroic as Zhao Yun, who made seven entries and exits in the Battle of Changban Slope, or as aggressive as the Western Chu overlord on the battlefield.
His only image projected strength and invincibility.
At this moment, Donald was confident that he could easily defeat the eight opponents from the other side single-handedly.
Until Dean covered his eyes.
“Ding!”
Donald, who was charging forward, hadn’t managed to bring down his broadsword before it was stopped by a heavy, immense wave of holy light.
The powerful force from the holy light made Donald’s heart tremble.
He realized that his invincible strength could not break through this layer of thin holy light.
This was impossible. He was now a Seven-turn of Epic Template, he had acquired the legacy strength of the Bloody God, it was unreasonable for him to be so weak!
“Seven-turn Epic? Who isn’t!”
Leo sneered, lightly touched with his finger, and the holy light surged. The strong power surged towards Donald.
“Hold on!”
Donald let out a stern yell, unleashing the strength within him, trying to resist the force.
