Undying Warlord - Chapter 554 Ten Thousand Poison
Dilan was directly under the limp fat mass of Fatty Boba’s expanded arm while focusing on the mass of mana that had accumulated high in the air.
A corner of his lips curled up slowly and he could already visualize the horror that would unfold at any minute.
The mana mass within the cloud was slowly being altered. Dilan didn’t allow anyone or anything to disrupt his rattling mind and the fully focused state he had entered.
He didn’t even realize when the Lesser God retracted his fat mass of an extended arm and when he moved forward to pick up Dilan.
The young Ascender was lying on the ground, his sky-blue eyes staring high into the sky while he grinned from ear to ear.
“Have you finally turned insane? It was about time that the mana backlash hit you, you fucking monster!” The Troll thundered out loud while moving his mass of fat forward as if he was actually a worm rather than a mighty Troll.
“Finally…” Dilan merely mumbled despite getting squeezed by Fatty Boba. He flicked his head forward and looked straight at the Troll’s head. His sky-blue eyes gleamed brightly as he ignored the pain of his bones getting crushed by the brute force the Lesser God applied.
“It’s such an honor to be held by a Lesser God. I don’t know how I deserve this,” He said, smiling mockingly.
Fatty Boba looked at Dilan, gritting his teeth. He hated the unperturbed gaze in the young human’s eyes. It was almost as if everything was going according to his plan, even though he had been caught red-handed.
“Why…are you still smiling even though you will die in the next few seconds?!?” Fatty Boba asked, his voice filled with anger and confusion.
He was angry because it currently looked like Dilan was not even the slightest distraught by getting both defeated and almost killed by the Troll. That would mean the last few hours, all the humiliation the Troll faced had been useless, totally unnecessary.
As for the confusion, Fatty Boba could tell that Dilan had worked hard for the last few hours. Dilan even managed to poison him and to temporarily remove his usage of mana.
It may only be temporary because he could seal his body from the input of mana and cleanse his veins all over, but it was still an achievement.
So…was Dilan really giving up right now?
That shouldn’t be the case.
“Speak, God damnit!!” Fatty Boba shouted at the top of his lungs, his gut feeling making him insane.
He shook Dilan vigorously and broke a handful of bones in the process.
However, even after his bones were broken and sharp pain spread through a majority of his limbs, followed by the sensation of hot blood gushing out of his body, Dilan still smiled.
The bright smile on his lips never ceased, not even when a rib was broken and pierced through his chest.
“Tch! Aren’t you a little bit too scared of being a Lesser God? You’re currently facing a mere mortal, someone who has yet to get even close to the ranks of a Demi God, let alone attain Godhood…and you are afraid? Isn’t that funny? Tell me…how will you survive what comes next?” Dilan started to laugh like a maniac.
He squeezed his arms out of the tight grasp of Fatty Boba, ignoring the mangled state it was in as he pointed high into the sky.
“There is a gift you’ve missed out on before. I really hope that you are just made out of fat and not sugar,” Dilan teased while focusing his regeneration ability on his arm. The loud crackling sound of his bones getting aligned, his flesh getting pulled together and his body tending to the wounds he had sustained could clearly be heard and seen.
However, Fatty Boba didn’t look at Dilan’s arm which had healed in the blink of an eye. No, his eyes were glued to the position Dilan kept pointing at even now.
“What the hell sho–….Oh…fuck…” Fatty Boba mumbled, his grip around Dilan’s broken body loosening all of a sudden.
Dilan fell to the ground but he avoided getting horribly smashed. Using some of his mana reserves, he accelerated the healing process of his body. His bones cracked as loudly as if bolts of lightning thundered around him and a searing hot pain spread through most parts of his body as he healed.
But all of that paled in comparison to the pleasant sight of Fatty Boba’s harrowed expression, causing Dilan to clap his hands not long after.
“The Ten Thousand Poison Rain has been prepared for you…have fun witnessing my newest creation…the carnivorous poison!!”
Dilan unleashed the altered mana within the cloud. He had spread it out evenly after weaving every type of altered mana together with one another. This was to make sure that there wouldn’t be a single spot without the ten thousand types of poison that were about to pour down onto the Colosseum’s arena.
Looking up, Dilan saw that the color of the cloud changed into a mixture of varied shades of green, yellow and purple. It looked grotesque but Dilan just smiled.
His attention moved over to the Lesser God, whose massive body shook at the sight of the humongous cloud.
“Are you afraid of clouds now as well? What a powerful God you are…” Dilan taunted before he burst forward.
There was no weapon in his hand but that was not necessary, to begin with. He could fight with and without weapons. Furthermore, he didn’t even intend to attack Fatty Boba.
On the contrary, he was seeking him for shelter, or precisely to make sure that he would feel a kind of pain that was better to endure than his skin, flesh, and bones getting eaten away.
‘I might be immune to poison but I don’t really want to test out whether the poison will eat me alive or not!’ Dilan thought as he threw himself to his sure death.
Or he tried to just before the rain of ten thousand poisons began.
