Undying Warlord - Chapter 563 The Undying Vs The Eternal Darkness
[Author Note: If you read both Undying Warlord and Odyssey of the Blind God, don’t trouble yourself by reading the same scenario twice, and skip it for one Novel…or pay me twice ;D]
Now that they were standing opposite each other, Dilan got a better view of Nial than before.
The young Original was holding a long spear with a long pointed blade in his hand. He circulated his mana inside the spear, and tested its balance and a few other things before he let out a sigh.
“No runic constellation…” Dilan heard Nial mumbling to himself and a faint smile crept up his lips.
‘Looks like he is used to item abilities just like I was before. Though runic armaments are a little bit different from the System’s equipment,’ Dilan thought before he kept glancing at the smooth and agile movements of the Eternal Darkness.
Nial spun the spear around his body, he made a few simple thrusts, and flashes and tested out the limit of the spear’s mana input. The weapon itself seemed to be to Nial’s satisfaction but Dilan felt like the Eternal Darkness was totally dissatisfied with how the objects inside the Colosseum had been wasted.
‘An Artisan?’
Dilan noticed many new things about Nial Orin and they improved his opinion of the fellow Fate Changer quite a lot.
However, that didn’t mean he would show mercy to Nial. Dilan could tell that Nial wouldn’t be merciful either, and that was not something he wanted, either way!
His attention switched to the countdown next to the Oracle, and Dilan didn’t waste any more time wondering about Nial Orin as a fellow Fate Changer.
Instead, Nial Orin would now only be considered his nemesis until their fight would end.
He was ready and grasped the sword he had used against the Shadow Demon God, patiently waiting for the countdown to end.

The last two messages were way too long. Thus, Dilan didn’t even bother to read the last one as he shot forward.
He exerted the Zephyr Step movement technique at the third stage to burst forward. His sudden acceleration was shocking and it was not something anyone at his Tier should ever be able to attain.
However, instead of showing a sign of surprise, Nial Orin lifted his empty arm. He changed his stance and moved the spear to his back. The corners of his lips tilted upward while the pressure he radiated increased drastically.
The arena’s ground began to tremble violently, but Dilan didn’t let that hinder his advance.
Nial ignored the tremors around him as well. His focus was more on the grayish currents that emerged from his arm. The grayish currents seemed to be both in a gaseous and liquid state and they easily pierced through the fabric of Nial’s combat clothes.
The few currents circulated around Nial’s forearm and they began to change color as a mixture of an abyss-like black and crimson colored hue swept through the grayish currents like veins.
Dilan’s eyes widened when he saw the grayish currents, but his entire body instinctively felt revolting the moment he closed in on the distance toward the grayish currents as realization struck him.
‘That is…chaos?!?’
Yet, no sooner had realization dawned upon Dilan, Nial had already clenched his hand with a pained expression.
“Burst.” Nial Orin ordered in a slow, commanding voice, and Dilan who was less than fifty meters away from his target felt an immediate effect.
‘This basta–…’ He could not even finish him cursing in his mind as he felt his heart getting twisted, and compressed. Dilan’s feet forcefully skidded to a halt and he was standing still when his heart burst apart. There was no loud explosion, but the power used by Nial was more than enough to create a gaping hole in his chest.
Dilan fell to his knees and blood gushed out of the huge hole in his chest, covering the horrifying sight of mangled flesh and arteries that was hidden under the fountain of blood.
Nial endured the pain in his arm as a satisfying smile appeared on his face. It looked like the Oracle had underestimated him, and the extent to which his power had grown since they separated!
“That was ea–…” He began but the words died down on his tongue when he froze in his tracks. Something was wrong!
It was just when Nial noticed that something was off that Dilan’s head turned upward. His sky-blue eyes shone brightly as he stared at the young man ahead of him with a smile filled with ecstasy.
“The Power of Chaos, huh?” He asked while shooting forward with a dizzying speed. Zephyr Step was still activated, and by using Wind attributed mana it was possible to further accelerate his speed when exerting the movement technique.
The gaping hole in his chest had healed and his heart had regrown in an instant. It didn’t even require Dilan to keep the True Undying Essence activated.
Instead, he released the True Undying Essence a quarter of a second before he needed it and deactivated it once he was healed.
With that tactic, it was possible to prevent the wastage of the precious True Undying Essence!
The distance between Dilan and Nial had decreased to less than 10 meters in an instant, but Nial had yet to change his stance.
‘Only his Mana is higher than mine. In every other aspect, I should be stronger! Dilan realized, just before he heard another command of the Eternal Darkness.
“Slice.”
The moment Nial gave his order, some currents of his reinforced chaos shot up and flew toward him. At the same time, tremendous pain seemed to spread through Nial’s entire body, especially his arm.
Dilan noticed that but there was no time for him to focus on Nial’s pain, let alone how to make use of it.
He felt a sharp sting in his neck and moved his free hand instinctively to touch it.
And he was not too late because his head was severed the moment after.
His head was about to fly through the air, when Dilan’s free hand reached out to it. He grasped his own head and pulled it back to his neck, where his body reattached it just a moment later.
“Surprise!” Dilan shouted while advancing towards Nial, hoping to see him shocked but it was just a moment that he saw the smirk on Nial’s face.
“Burst!”, and Dilan’s head burst open like a watermelon.
