Undying Warlord - Chapter 592 Life Lesson?
Dilan didn’t like the new woman…Felicia was her name. She was strong and worthy enough to get beaten into a pulp by Dilan, but that was already it.
In his opinion, she might as well die facing some Tierless monsters, Dilan couldn’t care less about her.
“Aren’t you just a selfish and entitled show-off without qualifications? What right do you have to be sitting here with your old colleagues, while we’re trying to solve the problems of the flying island? Do you even realize that you waste our precious time by taking away Lord Rory and the others, just to play leader once again?” Felicia asked in a cold tone, her brown eyes just as cold.
Dilan didn’t really know what Felicia was talking about at that time until Rory explained the situation via mental transmission.
[We are only one of three groups residing on the flying island, and we chose to leave their meeting because you woke up…Felicia might be a misunderstanding that you asked us to meet up today rather than the other way around.]
Rory’s explanation didn’t answer all of his questions but it was enough for Dilan to understand quite a few things.
“How many other human settlements are out there? I doubt that the flying island is everything we’ve left behind,” Dilan asked out loud, ignoring that a woman called Felicia existed, in the first place.
She seemed arrogant and was definitely someone, who held prejudices against people, no matter what others would say. Felicia wouldn’t care about the truth because she only saw what she wanted to see.
That was pretty much what Dilan figured in a matter of minutes. It was rather annoying, but there was not much for Dilan to do against it.
“There are many human settlements, but most of them are either well hidden, or they’ve been forced under control by other Lesser Gods. They pay tributes to the Divinities of those Gods in exchange for being spared and given permission to live on the territory of another race and God,” Yvonne answered calmly, also ignoring Felicia.
Dilan was glad to hear that more humans had survived. The attitude some Gods held was also pretty decent because they didn’t mindlessly slaughter all humans from Milarn just because they existed.
Some Gods and races would certainly eradicate all living beings as long as they possessed the slightest bit of intelligence. Belonging to a different race was a death sentence in that regard, no matter how stupid it was to slaughter everyone rather than make use of them.
“That’s good then,” Dilan mumbled, just to hear someone click her tongue next to him.
“What’s wrong, Invisible Woman? You don’t like it if people don’t pay attention to you?…poor you…To receive such an interesting Origin ability, while having such an awful personality that seeks attention from everywhere…that’s so sad,” He said while his head turned to the woman, who manifested seemingly out of nowhere.
Felicia had disappeared just a few seconds ago and she appeared next to Dilan with a dagger made out of glass shimmering in her hand.
“Who the hell do you think you are?” The woman shouted out loud, stabbing out with the glass dagger. She didn’t seem to care that everyone looked at them, or that Dilan’s eyes began to gleam brightly while a smile formed on his lips as she stabbed the dagger deep inside his chest.
Warm blood spurted in her face as she began to laugh out loud.
“Hahaha, you are really weak. Who the hell are you to speak about killing a God?!? You must have used a One-time use Demi God grade scroll to kill the Sun God’s army and now you’re showing off! You’re just a fraud, a fucking trickster!!!” Felicia shouted out loud, her expression screaming ‘maniac’.
However, it was just moments later that she noticed that something was off. Felicia expected that everyone would be rushing toward her to rescue Dilan…but there was nobody.
Looking around, he saw that they had jumped up from their chair but that was already it. Everyone in the room was merely looking at them. It felt like they were not moving but it was mostly their utter shock and dumbfounding that prevented them from moving.
“I think you hit your head too often…are you fine?” Dilan asked all of a sudden, grasping Felicia’s hand and holding the dagger while he got up from the chair.
Blood poured down Dilan’s chest as he held the glass dagger tightly at the handle but Dilan’s expression didn’t change. He lifted his other hand and touched Felicia’s forehead. It was almost as if Dilan didn’t even realize that a dagger was stuck in his chest.
“Looks like your temperature is fine…but you never know. Maybe your body needs to warm up a little bit…just to make sure that all viruses are killed off, of course!” Dilan mumbled before his gentle and smooth hand seemed to turn into claws that shot around, grasping Felicia’s head tightly.
He held her head in his hand and didn’t hesitate to test out how strong Rory’s Draconic Power had become after training and growing more powerful for 27 years!
Accessing the bits of Draconic Power their Soul connections provided him, Dilan increased the temperature around him and Felicia. He used his control of winds to manifest strong winds to create a large and translucent wind cocoon around them. This was to ensure that no one else would be able to hear them or get injured by the searing heat he released inside Felicia’s body.
“How does it feel? Getting thrashed by a newly advanced Tier-4 Ascender, I mean getting thrashed by fraud, a trickster no less?” Dilan asked, his eyes crimson as he grasped Felicia’s hand holding the glass dagger tightly. He pushed the dagger deeper into his chest, causing fountains of blood to pour out of him.
Their hands were covered with blood but that was not something Felicia could pay attention to right now. Dilan was currently the cause for her body to boil…quite literally..
But that was not even the worse because she felt that her glass dagger had just pierced Dilan’s heart!!
“You fucking bastard!! I just wanted to teach you a life lesson, not kill you!!!!”
“Who said that you’re even capable of killing me?”
