Undying Warlord - Chapter 595 Soul Heart
Most of the City of Trial’s inhabitants could only be described as weird. They were willing to separate a shard of their soul and seal it into a place where time passed hundreds of times slower than everywhere else.
There was not much to do in the City of Trial, except wait for the Fate Changers to train them. That was the mission they had been given by the Universe.
However, the goal the Soul Shards had in mind was not always, or almost never, the same as the Universe’s will. While some Soul Shards wanted to learn more about themselves, and comprehend the deepest levels of the techniques they had created on their own or had been taught by someone before waiting for the opportunity to leave the City of Trials, there were also Soul Shards who never intended to leave the City of Trials.
For them, the City of Trials was a place where they could redeem themselves and make up for the mistakes they had done. The Lightning Titan, the Fallen Celestial, and the Great Wise were three such Soul Shards. They never told Dilan what they regretted, or why they had to redeem themself, but oddly enough, Dilan believed the truth of their words without further questions.
This was a little bit weird, but so was the reason why the Queen of Immortality had chosen to provide the City of Trials with a Soul Shard of hers.
Thinking about it, Dilan couldn’t help but smile lightly.
“Who would have expected that I would encounter you again, Alexia, the Soul Wanderer!” He started laughing out loud when looking at the flawless marble statue that was a perfect replication of the Queen of Immortality.
However, Dilan was not talking to the statue. Instead, his focus was on the human-sized orb, the object everyone considered as a Divinity…well that was not even completely wrong. It was not the correct answer either though!
“I think I understand why you were too bored out here in the Universe. How the hell do you still know what your main body is after creating hundreds of Soul Shards?” He approached the huge orb and touched it with his flat hand.
Siegfried and Dilan’s sisters wanted to warn him and they moved forward almost at the same time, but it was already too late.
Mana was sucked out of Dilan’s hand at a rapid pace. It was used to nourish the human-sized white shining orb, and Dilan allowed it.
There was no hesitation in his action as a faint smile appeared on his face.
‘Looks like I was right… Thanks my dear Queen for sharing your secrets with me!’
Dilan circulated his mana through the orb while activating his Mystic Eyes to see the inside of the orb. Millions of threads were connected to a total of 10 anchor points, which is what the Queen of Immortality had always called them.
There were 10 main anchor points and hundreds of anchors that were all combined through mana chains and levian threads. Dilan required quite a while to understand what all of that meant when the Queen of Immortality explained it to him for the first, second, third…and even tenth time.
However, after a while, he got a rough understanding of the objects the Queen of Immortality created…and the reason for her name and title!
The Queen of Immortality was actually not Immortal, not in a sense where she was different from other True Gods to deserve such a title.
But it was the True Divinity she manifested that she was granted the title, Queen of Immortality.
And the object Dilan touched was a part of her divinity, of herself…it was one of the Hearts of the Queen of Immortality!
The Queen of Immortality didn’t reveal all her secrets to Dilan but she trusted him a lot, for some reason. She told him that her Divinity allowed her to give life to inanimate objects by infusing them with a shard of her divinity and her soul.
Her Soul Shard and Divinity Shard would fuse with the object and create a living being seemingly out of nowhere.
The hearts and minds of all her other ‘Images’ were connected through her Soul Shards and Divinity Shards. Their strength was not shared but the Queen of Immortality had never been truly strong.
She was only capable of two things; Giving Life to what was not supposed to be Life and destruction!
The Immortal Godbringer Ammasutra was something the Queen of Immortality had created due to two particular reasons. First, she had to create a powerful technique that could be wielded by each of her Images, not only by her main body or particular Images. Each of her Images was very important to the Queen of Immortality and she wanted to give all of them the right to defend their life, no matter what opponent they may encounter.
As for the second reason, it was quite absurd but still valid, nonetheless…she created the Immortal Godbringer Ammasutra technique out of boredom!
Dilan had been quite amused and shocked when he heard that the Queen of Immortality had been able to come up with such a powerful technique out of sheer boredom.
That was truly the work of a Genius and it had increased his respect for the Queen of Immortality by leaps and bounds.
He would love to create something as amazing as one of his masters’ techniques just like that.
However, he was not a genius and he never wanted to be. Being a Genius was not interesting enough, after all!
“Awaken, Apparition, and meet one of your Sister’s disciples!” Dilan shouted out loud as he inserted a tremendous amount of mana inside the Soul Heart, which was the true name of the human-sized orb.
He had used every single bit of mana inside him and activated the Soul Heart just like he had been told.
Dilan waited for something, and so were the three humans that remained frozen in front of the citadel’s entrance.
They didn’t dare to enter the citadel because they could feel that something big was happening, something they couldn’t understand at all.
The…Divinity started to transform!!
