“No thank you… I’m almost there either way” liv told Ian as he parked his to go after her. ” hey I thought our week started today?come on what was our agreement last night?” he said as she stopped in her tracks and turned to him sighing in annoyance.” Fine you win!!!…Ill get in your car.now lets hurry I need to get to work” she told him as she got in the passenger side.He smiled and got in starting to drive off.” well since today you wont be working the night shift and you will be off tomorrow lets have dinner. That way we can get to talking”.liv thought about how she still needed to get some stuff done that day. ” well I have to buy groceries today actually so I need to decline.I was on my way to the book store to get a new book and then head to buy groceries before my shift.” she said as they turned the corner. “well then I’ll take you after you get out”liv felt a bit shy at his response.He really seems so pushy but at the same time he is trying.” Fine but dinner will be on me then”she said as he parked the car in front of the bar and grill.she immediately got out and thanked him as she went inside.” I’m so glad you are here.look I have a meeting to go to then I have a few errands to do.Im glad Ian got here in early and was able to pick you up.”liv was confused”what was Ian doing here early? did he come to tell you about last night?” she asked Maddie.” What? no …he came to take me to the meeting we have to go to now before it gets any later.what happened last night? wait no I have to go we dont want to be late.”Maddie said in a rush and took off immediately.

Well looks like he must be a very generous man to be offering every woman in need of a lift. No wonder he is well known around here.At that moment a tall woman with black straight hair and brown highlights walked in. she had round brown eyes and a light caramel colored skin tone.She was dressed in black tights with a long black t-shirt and a sweater.She walked in and looked around the empty room. ” Hi is the owner here by any chance?” the girl asked her.”no not until the night shift” liv responded ” ok thanks I’ll be back later then” the girl said starting to walk out “wait do you want to leave a message or call back number?” liv asked. “no its best we talk in person so I’ll be back later.” she said walking out.Liv saw the girl step up to another man who was waiting for her looking annoyed. He was tall broad shoulders and had short dark black hair with a lighter skin tone than the girl.He had dark blue eyes that stood out.they stood outside talking for a bit ,kissed ,and took off.at At that moment a regular customer walked in “well looks like those two are back in town …you would think they wouldnt be back after what happened a couple months ago but looks like I’m wrong on that.” the lady said as she sat down talking to liv.”good morning Maddie is busy so I’m taking over this morning for her…coffee?”liv asked wanting to know more on what thr woman said.”yes please my husband will be in shortly too so just give me order 2 please.”liv wrote down the order and took it to the kitchen walking back with the coffee.” what did they want here liv?that girl is trouble did you know she was engaged to someone else and two months before the wedding she left him to go with someone else?that someone else just happened to be the guys brother.poor guy was devastated and left the town for good while she went of to enjoy the trip that was reserved for their honeymoon.” liv was listening to her when the woman’s husband walked in.”well that is sad I feel for that man” she said as she served another cup of coffee.” we know this because that girl is best friends with my daughter Suzy and she dated our son in high school who she left for her fiance.”the lady continued on when her husband cut in.” whats with this conversation…poor girl is new in town.” the man told his wife.” she’s back with Matt from their trip already.lets see how long until she finds another rich guy.”liv served them their meals and attended all the customers that morning as it got full and busy. she had forgotten about what the couple this morning were talking about through out the day.

It was around three that afternoon and liv was finishing up cleaning the rush that had just passed when Maddie came in.” Hey your still alive…glad to see that you were able to handle it with no problem.”she joked walking up to liv.”when your done come to my office ths other girls can handle for a bit.”liv felt happy that she was able to manage without a problem.”sure I’ll be right there” she said finishing up.Liv walked over to her office as Maddie finished looking over some papers.”Hey is everything ok?”liv asked as she knocked on the open door.” Yeah I was just gonna say that Ian told me what happened.Im glad you’re both ok.I went over the schedules with the boss and the only change will be your schedule.You will have a mixed schedule so that what happened last night wont occur.”liv felt a bit guilty because maddie had to discuss this with her boss but at the same time she thought Maddie owned that place. “I thought you owned it …sorry I dont mean to intrude”liv told her with curiosity.”No I just manage everything here.If only I had that type of money to run both this business and the one my sister runs.” Liv was a bit surprised but felt thankful that who ever owned it was thoughtful of his employees.” well you are done for the day thank you for everything liv.Im glad that you’re here” Maddie told her waving her off.

As liv walked out she saw a familiar black 69 charger.Ian was standing there waiting for her wearing his sunglasses.she couldnt help but think about how hot he looked posed the way he was.”Am I really that dreamy?” he teased her.reacting to his words liv walked up to him ” dont think so much of yourself.Have you been waiting long?” she asked him.He laughed at the way she reacted and gave her a bag.” No I had to make a pit stop real quick before I came for you.open it”liv had the bag in her hand “no I couldn’t accept this thank you” she said trying to hand it back.” are you really not going to accept it after I took the time to get it.at least have a look of you don’t like it I’ll take it back simple as that.”

” you are so pushy you know that” she said opening up the bag and reaching inside.” and you’re so stubborn which makes it interesting”he told her grinning. liv gasped at the sight of the book she had in her hands.”how did you know this was the book?”

she looked at him in surprise.”well you did say something about a new book.that happened to be the only book that was just released.” with all the excitement she felt with the book in her hands she ran up to Ian and hugged him.Ian was a bit shocked at her reaction but felt his heart beat faster as she hugged him.The smell of her sweet flower scented perfume wafted into his nose causing him mixed emotions as he hugged her back.” oh I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to do that.” Liv said as she let go of him. He cleared his throat and responded “yeah we should get going to the store already” he said opening the door for her.As they drove off to the store they were both silent thinking about what happened.The moment they parked at the store liv tried to break the ice ” thank you Ian.I really appreciate you bringing me.Are you going to wait in the car so Mr.hotshot wont be seen?” liv teased. ” of course not I would much rather be seen walking around with a goddess helping her with her groceries.you think I’ll find one here?” he teased her back. Liv laughed ” you’re such a jerk.”To liv that was the first time in such a long time that she actually felt like herself. Liam hadnt crossed her mind since that morning which made her feel like she was possibly moving on.
