As liv walked around the isles Ian followed her around helping her out with what she needed.His phone kept ringing and he just ignored the calls and put his phone on silent. “If you need to answer it I can handle the rest .I just need to pay and we can head out.”liv told him as he put his phone in his back pocket.” don’t worry about it.its not important” he told her giving her a smile.

” you sure it’s not a crazy ex trying to find you?” liv asked him.” Well its not an ex but maybe a crazy brother” he told her. ” oh well it’s family you should take it.” she told him as she was paying at the register.” fine I’ll be back”he said as he walked out of the store.The entire time that they were in the store they kept getting stared at but she thought that it was because she is still new in town.She finished paying and pushed the cart outside to see Ian upset as he hung up the phone. ” sorry I didnt mean to intrude.” she told him as he got the cart from her.” no problem at all.Hes been pestering me to find out where I am.” liv listened to him speak when she finally responded.” well if you want to cancel dinner for tonight I’m okay with it.”Ian closed the trunk of the car after putting all the bags in.” And miss dinner with you? No thanks he can wait.Besides I dont want this to cause a bad image of me for my one week trial.”He told her as they both got in the car together.She was afraid to admit it but she actually didnt want for his company to disappear just yet.She was actually enjoying his company.

Once they got to liv’s house and put everything away liv started working on dinner.” here let me help you with dinner.” Ian said as he cooked some pasta while liv cooked the chicken.” you know the only thing I know about you is that you have a brother.I want to know more about you” liv told him as she cooked.Ian turned to her with a serious expression ” I don’t really like talking about my past ….but I’ll tell you with the condition that you tell me everything about you.” liv felt her heart sink a bit thinking about her past but if he could trust her enough to talk about what hurts him she should give him that trust too.

” fine we will talk about it after dinner so we can enjoy our food.” she told him ” so what did you do after you dropped off Maddie at her meeting?” liv asked him trying to change the subject.” what do you mean? I was at the meeting” he asked her confused. ” wait you work for Maddie? I was beggining to think you didnt have a job.” Ian started to laugh uncontrollably making liv confused as she set the table with the served plates.” Its more like Maddie works for me.I own that bar and grill she just manages it.”liv stared in disbelief. there is no way someone like him can possibly own that restaurant.” this is a joke right?”she asked him as they both sat down to eat. “no I’m serious I also own the store that her sister runs” well that was a big shock for her.what else is there to know about him she thought to herself.”Is that the reason that your brother is looking for you?” she asked him as they both ate.” this food is amazing.I havent had a home cooked meal in so long.”he said trying to avoid it.” sorry I didnt mean to pry” she said as she finished eating.” No dont be sorry its just hard to start talking about it.lets go in the living room I’ll help you wash the dishes and clean afterwards” he told her as they both went to sit down.

” where to begin…”he sighed looking at her with a grin.” if its to much you dont have to Ian “he layed back thinking on how to start.”about 5 years ago my parents passed away in a fire.That left me and my little brother alone.I moved back in with my brother who was still in his senior year of high school and was living with my parents.I met his friends since they were constantly over and he had a friend named Kayla who after high school started taking college classes with my brother.I became close with her within time and we started dating.Everything was going fine, we got engaged and were planning our wedding. what I didn’t know was my brother and her were actually hooking up behind my back.He was convinced that they loved each other but at the same time she didnt want me to know.I was out of town and came home early to find them together.Seeing them like that destroyed me.I felt like they both ripped out my heart.That was a couple month’s before we were to get married. I broke off everything and left not wanting anything to do with them.They went off to enjoy the honeymoon reservations and enjoy their life together.Now that I’m back trying to start fresh my brother is searching for me trying to talk with me.I have always been there for my brother even protecting him from my father who always hated being around him.My mother always loved us both but always made sure my brother had everything he wanted.I always thought that it was because he was the youngest.I later learned that the reason my father hated him was because he wasnt his son. Having my brother around was a constant reminder of the affair my mother had.My brother learned of it after their deaths in the will that my father left leaving everything to me.Jason is my brothers name.He changed towards me after everything happened.To me he is still my brother but he betrayed me the worst possible way a person can.”Ian explained with a serious tone as he remembered everything that had happened.

Liv slided over to him and grabbed his hand.Ian looked at her as they both silently sat together for a bit.”I’m so sorry that happened to you.I know how you feel.” Ian. let go of her hand and moved his wavy hair back.” so what’s your story then? how can you understand the pain that I went through?”liv softly smiled at him and sighed. She began telling him about her whole life.how she was an orphan.How she lived in the streets and got taken in by a family that in the end betrayed her.She told him about Liam and her reason for leaving.She was so in love with him but didn’t want to ruin a child’s chance of a family.She calmly explained it all to him with tears running down her cheeks.Ian couldn’t help but embrace her in his arms and hold her letting her cry her feelings out until she fell asleep in his arms.He didnt want to wake her so he sat there thinking about all she said. so much heart break and tears.She didnt deserve all that she went through.He felt so much closer to her knowing that they both no longer had any deep secrets between them.He watched her sleep in his arms as she lay on his c.h.e.s.t.She looked so peaceful. She looked so beautiful and innocent.Everytime he looked at her he felt there was something special about her and he wanted to make her happy.Even if they stay as friends or if they become more he didnt want her to suffer anymore.He wanted for her to be happy.He drifted off to sleep there in the living room holding her without even realizing it.

As they both slept, Ian’s phone which was on silent kept going off killing his battery.Jason was furious when his calls went straight to voicemail and Kayla was furious that he hadn’t returned to his house where they waited for him.”how can he be that way? what if he’s sleeping around with other woman while we’re here waiting on him!!!”Kayla screamed as Jason looked at her with a serious expression.” what does it matter who he is with? you’re with me and we will wait here until he gets home. once we are all together we will tell him.”
