Universe Tales: Virtual Log Of The Fallen One - Chapter 46
As Maria was having the time of her life finally being able to go out and hunt some monsters with her newfound abilities, the players around her were backing away hastily from the mad, but cute arsonist.
Maria was sending [Fire] spells all around her. Since she was lower leveled than the monsters on the plains, she naturally attracted their aggro. Maria had long since noticed the monsters heading her way and she responded by chucking [Fire] spells and feathers from her [Angel’s Rage] at them.
Whenever her [Gehenna’s Eye] was off cooldown, Maria would rise into the air and take in as many monsters in her sights and set them ablaze. She would then swoop down to attack them. Of course, she didn’t forget about the remaining birdies that she hadn’t disposed of yet.
Once she finished off the last of them, she quickly moved onto the additional monsters that had aggroed on to her. She would have left them alone, but they were the stupid ones that attacked her first. With Lilah’s support she was able to quickly clear away all the monsters around her and even raise her level by 1!
[Level Up! Lv.20 → Lv.21! Acquired 20 Free Stat Points]
[Your pet [Lilah] has leveled up! Lv. 30 → Lv. 31]
[Acquired Iron Hawk Talon x20, Iron Hawk Feather x95, … … …]
Lilah brought back all the drops she could get and Maria giggled in delight. Her cute giggle was perceived as a sadistic snicker by the players around her. They had never seen such a violent player before that wantonly caused destruction and paid no mind to anyone around them.
If Maria wasn’t euphoric about retaining her freedom and being able to hunt again, she would have noticed that just like Paimon feared, she had indeed thoughtlessly set the plains ablaze with her flames.
Maria looked around before smiling at everyone and taking off into the air, once again going off to some random direction. She meant to head for the city, but with how directionally challenged she was, Maria just went off somewhere randomly once again.
“S-scary…”
“That last smile…w-what did she mean by that?!”
“Hey, if any of you recorded her earlier you all better erase it! That last meaningful smile was probably her warning to us!”
“Sh-shit…I thought the Fallen Angels were a cordial bunch, but who would have expected that their ‘hidden’ guild leader was actually a psycho!”
“Hey, idiot, don’t you dare defame the Fallen Angels! Didn’t you see that girl didn’t have a guild emblem?”
“…”
Although Maria didn’t mean anything with her departing smile, the players took it the wrong way. Some erased their recording of her, but some of the braver ones posted in on the forums. A few were expressing their complaints while more expressed their admiration of her abilities.
When Lizzy and the others saw the video, they couldn’t help but smack their heads in exasperation.
“W-what did she do this time?”
“…she just burnt the plains down…most importantly, when did she learn how to use magic?! She was clearly chanting earlier!” Milly exclaimed in excitement.
“Let’s go find her! Knowing Mary, she’s probably trying to find her way back to her city and we all know how bad she is with directions.”
“You can’t take us since we were once from the Light Faction, but take some of the other guild members with you.” Amanda said.
She immediately called up some of their guild members to go head out with their Guild Leader, Lizzy, and search for Maria.
Amanda was really good at managing things so she was the guild’s secretary while Milly was the Vice Guild Leader.
“M’kay~”
“Anyways, how’d she end up all the way over there?” Milly thought aloud. Zack who was on the side was already preparing to head out with Lizzy.

High up in the air, Maria was taking a look at her [Status] and distributed the 100 FSPs she had into her stats. She put 15 into STR and VIT, 30 to AGI, and the remaining 40 into INT since her [Fire] spell’s damage scaled on her INT.

“Oh! I can learn Paimon’s spells from this thingy? Cool! Thank you Paipai~ I guess I’ll forgive you for abandoning me!”
Maria immediately equipped the book into her accessory slot and it disappeared from her hand and reappeared on her hip bound to a nifty and stylish chain.
“Hmhm~ eh, wait a minute!” Maria was humming and flying happily before she immediately realized something and stopped dead in the air.
She looked around calmly before asking Lilah, “Where are we?”
“…Oh, Master…”
