Those who do great things have great thoughts. The man with one talent in Matthew 25:18 behaved foolishly because he was not thoughtful. If he was thoughtful, he would have remembered he will one day give an account. He didn’t make progress because he was only busy comparing himself with others; comparing what the master gave him with others.

Life itself is not fair to anybody; you must give life a fight. There are many professors today who were not genius in their secondary school days. I used to know some people who graduated from the University with third class, yet are Professors and Ph.D. holders today all because they refused to give up. If you think deeply, you will also realise you can become anything in God as long as you do your part.

Why do you give up on life and assume that someone is better than you? With what God gave you, if you don’t give up, you can also become great in God. There is no reason for discouragement.

When your thinking is deep, your action will be informed. When you take action based on the information you have, your life will be rich. Get facts about issue; without it, your thinking will be cloudy and invariably your actions will be wrong. The man with one talent did not have a deep thought; no wonder his action was wrong; no wonder he behaved foolishly.

He thought his master was a hard man reaping where he has not sown. He seems to have forgotten that He who gave the talent also has the right to demand for a profit.

Your conviction does not affect the fact of a thing. The fact that you don’t believe in the law of gravity does not set aside the law of gravity. Whether you believe in God or not; whether you believe in the existence of heaven/hell or not does not affect its reality. Your conviction about God will only affect you, not God. So take time to consider issues before making up your mind.

The distance between where you are presently and where you wish to be is the depth of your thought. Think deeply about this: where are you now and where do you hope to be in the next five years? Don’t attempt to dodge your responsibility by thinking it is in the hand of God.

And has made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Rev 5:10

In fact, many things we claim are in the hands of God are actually in our hands. The grace of God is available to us all, so what do you plan to do with it? People fail because they don’t plan, not because plans fail. The man with one talent died small because he refused to plan for his talent. You must not die small. Challenge your circumstance because no one can be greater than his thought.

Great achievers are great thinkers. Never act on rumours; meditate on issues and pray before taking any step. Spend your time on positive things, not on peddling rumours.
