Unrivaled Demon’s Odyssey - Chapter 232
“Kill me,” Faith asserted in a solemn voice with tears in her eyes.
Emilia gritted her teeth and inserted the tip of the dagger in Faith’s neck but stopped and retracted the dagger.
“Why did you stop?!” Faith shouted. “Kill me!”
“….” Emilia couldn’t comprehend the situation. ‘Why is she so desperate?’ she thought.
“You don’t understand! I don’t want to betray him! Kill me, now!” Faith begged Emilia to kill her.
“Why do you look so sad after knowing you are going to betray him?” Emilia asked. “And why do you believe me? I could be lying.”
“I am a high priestess. Thousands of people come to me to confess their sins and ask for the gods’ forgiveness. So I can tell if someone is lying or not.” Faith said in a low voice and looked at Emilia before saying, “And I know that you are not lying.”
Emilia frowned her face at Faith and slapped her on the face.
“Don’t you dare cry in front of me,” Emilia uttered.
However, Faith still cried and kept crying.
After a while, she asked, “How do you know I will betray Zeus? Do you have the ability to see the future?”
Emilia slapped Faith again and said, “I am from the future! I just said I am your daughter! How can you be that stupid!”
“I don’t believe you,” Faith asserted. “I would never betray Zeus… kill me… please.”
“Maybe you didn’t betray him…” Emilia uttered in a low voice.
“Huh?”
“Maybe it was Lucifer who forced you to do something,” Emilia wondered.
“That’s impossible. Lucy would never do something like that.”
“Lucy…? You call him by a nickname?” Emilia asked and shook her head in disbelief.
Faith sniffed and wiped her tears before saying, “He is my childhood friend.”
“You have so many reasons to betray Zeus. First is, of course, he is a demon, and gods and angels hate demons. The second is, Lucifer is your childhood friend. The third is, you are Zeus’ only weakness. If you betray Zeus, he will give up on his life.”
Emilia frowned her face and said, “Maybe that was your plan? Maybe you and Lucifer were in this together. Maybe this is all planned by gods to get rid of Zeus?”
“So whatever you want, I would never betray Zeus,” Faith asserted in a solemn voice. She finally stopped crying and got up from the couch.
She looked into Emilia’s eyes and said, “tell me everything you know in detail.”
Emilia told everything she knew.
“Can I ask how do you know about all that?” Faith asked with a straight face.
“Sophia told me,” Emilia answered.
“Sophi did?!” Faith exclaimed. “So she is still friends with Zeus?”
“What do you mean?” Emilia asked with a puzzled look on her face. “And now that I think of it, where is she? I haven’t seen her yet.”
“She is…”
“Hmm?”
“Well, you should know that Sophi has a thing for Zeus,” Faith uttered.
“Yeah, I know.”
“So just like how Lucy is my childhood friend, Sophi is Zeus’ childhood friend,” Faith stated. “And… well, I was aware that Sophi loved Zeus, and Sophi was also aware that Zeus and I are a thing….”
“And?”
“Well… I don’t know why, but when we told her we were getting married, she got angry and flew to the heavens,” Faith sighed. “That was two months ago. She still hasn’t come back yet.”
“According to Zeus, after you betrayed him, Lucifer sealed him in a dungeon for eons.” Emilia finished telling everything to Faith.
“That’s not possible.” Faith shook her head and said, “Even if Lucifer has mastered the art of sealing, he can’t seal something stronger than him. And everyone knows Zeus is a walking calamity.”
“Sophia was sealed with him too.”
“Why would Lucifer—”
“Zeus sealed her,” Emilia quipped.
“So that’s how Zeus met Sophi again.” FAith glanced at Emilia and asked, “What about you? How did you meet them?”
“He rescued me from the dungeon,” Emilia answered.
“What about me? Am I alive?” Faith asked with a curious yet calm look on her face.
“You are a human, so Zeus assumed you were dead.”
“What about Lucifer? Is he alive?”
“Zeus is gathering his cores to kill him,” Emilia answered.
“So he must hate me, huh?” Faith smiled bitterly and muttered, “Even though I would never betray him.”
“He said he would kill you if he ever saw you again,” Emilia scoffed at Faith.
“So he hates me that much…” Faith raised her brows in confusion and asked, “Wait a minute. What are you to Zeus, then?”
“I am…”
“And if you are my daughter as you claim to be, why is Zeus friendly with you?”
“He doesn’t know that I am your daughter. But I am going to tell him after I have killed… well…” Emilia realized that she was never going to see Zeus again. “Sophia will tell him once I have killed you and Lucifer.”
“You didn’t answer my question. What is your relationship with him…” Faith’s face turned pale when she remembered Emilia was pregnant. “Wait a minute! So…”
Faith pointed her finger at Emilia’s stomach and said, “You are carrying Zeus’ child inside your womb?!”
“Huh?” Emilia wasn’t even aware that she was pregnant with Zeus’ child.
“You are pregnant! Do you not know that?!” Faith exclaimed.
“What are you….” Emilia placed her hand on her stomach and said, “I am pregnant?!”
Faith slowly frowned her face and said, “So you are Zeus’ lover, huh?”
“I am pregnant…” Emilia was lost in her thoughts.
“Why do I… why do I think that…. That Sophi is also…” Faith placed her hands on Emilia’s shoulders and asked, “Is Sophi also his lover?!”
“Yeah. And there are more girls.”
“He has a harem?!”
“You don’t have any right to criticize him. You are the one who betrayed him,” Emilia remarked.
“I would never betray him, and I will prove my innocence!” Faith declared. “I am changing my marriage date. Instead of next month, I will marry him next week.”
“…”
Among the many emotions and feelings, Emilia realized that if she killed Faith, then not only would she die, but the child in her womb would die too.
