Unrivaled Demon’s Odyssey - Chapter 233
“I will change the wedding date to next week,” Faith declared.
“And?” Emilia raised her brows and asked, “Why would that change anything?”
“If I marry him, then I won’t betray him, right?” Faith wondered.
Emilia sighed and face-palmed himself. She shook her head in disbelief and thought, ‘She is so innocent that I am sure she couldn’t have betrayed Nero.’
“What’s wrong?” Faith asked with a puzzled look on her face.
“What makes you think a married woman can’t betray her husband?”
Faith’s face turned pale after hearing that. She covered her mouth with her hand and said, “That’s… so cruel. How could someone do that?”
After judging Faith by her innocent personality, Emilia was certain that Faith couldn’t have betrayed Zeus.
Emilia’s gaze fell on the pendant Faith was wearing around her neck and said, “That’s…”
‘It’s the pendant Nero’s mother gave it to him when she died…’ Emilia moved her hand to the pendant and touched it.
“If he gave you this pendant, then he must love you lots…” Emilia uttered with a wry smile on her face.
“Do you know the history of this pendant?” Faith asked with a curious yet calm look on her face.”
“What about you?”
Faith nodded and said, “I do. It belonged to his mother.”
“I envy you so so much, mother…” Emilia uttered in a low voice.
Faith frowned her face and said, “Don’t call me that! I am not your mother.”
Emilia shrugged her shoulders and said, “Yeah, I don’t want a mother like you either.”
“What are—” Faith stopped speaking and looked at her right in the direction of the wall.
“Zeus is here!”
After saying that, Faith dashed out of the door.
Emilia raised her brows and uttered, ‘She sensed him by that far?’
Emilia followed Faith and walked out of the room, only to find out she was at the guildhall all this time.
‘I can’t believe they own a room in a guildhall…’ Emilia uttered inwardly.
Emilia was about to go downstairs and follow Faith, but she stopped and hid behind the pillars after seeing some familiar figure.
Lucifer entered the guildhall, and he was carrying old Arnold with him. And Zeus was holding small Rosemary in his arms.
However, she hid because she saw Rhea and Pavel.
Emilia didn’t recognize Arnol and Rosemary until Rhea called out their names.
“So that’s Arnold?” Emilia muttered. “He looks like an old man.”
Emilia looked at Rosemary and thought, “And that’s Rosemary? Isn’t she a kid?”
Emilia gasped and covered her mouth as she said, “An old man and a small girl… so immoral.”
Emilia wasn’t aware that Rosemary was older than Arnold, even in that form.
“I shouldn’t go down…” Emilia muttered, “If I do, then Rhea and the others will see me. And if they see me now, they will recognize me in the future when I meet them.”
“But they didn’t recognize me in the future, so that means they didn’t see me now. In other words, I can’t let them see me.”
“Zeus!” Faith called out to Zeus after seeing him and hugged him tightly.
Emilia frowned her face and muttered, “I don’t like this.”
“Whoa!” Zeus hugged Faith back and said, “It looks like someone missed me a lot.”
“I have something important to tell you,” Faith asserted.
“What is it?”
“Let’s change our wedding date to next week.”
“Huh? We can’t do that. It’s too late to change now,” Zach remarked. “You know that most of our friends are traveling, and some of them are in other realms. Even if we change the date, there is no way we can inform them all about it.”
“We will apologize to them,” Faith stated. “I am sure they will understand.”
“Well…” Zeus pondered for a while and said, “If you want to do it next week, then next week it is.”
“Thank you!” Faith sighed in relief and hugged Zeus with a wide smile on her face.
Zeus patted Faith on the head and asked, “Is everything okay?”
“It will be okay,” Faith replied in a muffled voice.
“Hey, Zeus!” Lucifer called out to Zeus from the other side of the guildhall and said, “I have brought 200 chefs for your wedding menu! Come and taste their food!”
“I will pass!” Zach replied. “I have to go to the palace to meet Ajax!”
Zeus had to go meet Ajax and give him the scroll. (refer to chapter 93)
Zeus turned to Faith and said, “You go taste them.”
“Okay…”
Faith went with Lucifer, and Zeus walked upstairs to get his belongings from the room.
Emilia quietly went back into the room and jumped on the bed to pretend as though she was sleeping.
Zeus entered the room and took his belongings from the couch.
“I know you were peeking from behind the pillar earlier, so no need to pretend to sleep,” Zach asserted.
Emilia opened her eyes and looked at Zeus with an annoyed look on her.
“What’s with that face?” Zeus scoffed.
“I don’t like you,” Emilia uttered.
“Well, it’s natural for angels to hate demons,” Zeus shrugged his shoulders and said, “BUt you are a half-angel… Fallen half-angel, so…”
“Why do you love that girl?” Emilia asked.
“I don’t need a reason to love someone,” Zeus answered in a solemn voice. “You must also love someone, right?”
Emilia placed her hand on her stomach and said, “Yes.”
Zeus raised his brows and asked with a curious look on his face: “Is that the father of the child?”
“Yes.”
“What is he like?” Zeus asked. “It’s rare to see an angel being in love with a demon.”
“He is better than you,” Emilia replied.
“Heh!” Zeus laughed out loud and said, “Let me tell you the risks.”
“What do you mean?”
“The child you are carrying in your womb is not even three days old. And if you don’t get rid of it within two weeks, it will kill you.”
