Vain - Chapter 28 Cafe Rendezvous
Aileene was clueless and frankly planless, the normal organized her was nowhere to be found and she couldn’t help but feigned calm. Honestly, her whole move to invite Cielo out for food wasn’t a calculated move, rather she just spontaneously said what was on her mind at the moment and to this point, she simply went along with it all. Trying to happily enjoy her food without revealing anything to the confused heroine. She didn’t even know what to say or how to start a conversation. She felt hopeless.
Well, maybe not entirely hopeless, since she did have an original purpose to inviting Cielo to join her, and that was to befriend the girl. But that was unfortunately where her intellect seemed to end for this particular case.
It was an embarrassment for her, normally she would be so uptight with her smarts, but this just goes to show she simply couldn’t be prepared for everything. Sighing, Aileene finally gathered the courage she needed to finally start a conversation.
“Cielo, I’ve been thinking, we’ve never gotten the chance to be close. So lets be friends.” Aileene meekly glance at the person across from her to gauge their reaction, but she was answered with silence and a blank expression from Cielo. Realizing the girl was day-dreaming, she started waving her hand in front of her face.
“Cielo? Cielo! Cieelo!”
Finally, as if awoken from her deep dream Cielo jerked and her eyes focused on Aileene’s waving hand, seeing the young girl awkwardly smile in nervousness. She simply shrugged off the heroine divided attention, they hadn’t exactly been talking or interacting much so she could see why Cielo was lost in her own thoughts.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t catch what you said, can you repeat it?” Cielo asked slowly, an apologetic smile on her face.
Taking in a deep breath, Aileene composure broke for second as she ranted away her intentions to be friends with Cielo quickly, barely managing out all her words, nevermind letting the heroine understand any of them. As soon as she had opened her closed eyes again, she realized her mistakes. Why was she being so brash? She wanted to facepalm herself.
After seeing Cielo’s expression she wanted to slap herself, even more, she shouldn’t be this unorganized. Calm down, was it so hard to be collected?
Sighing softly, Aileene felt her heartbeat slowed down and returned to her normal relaxed and calm expression, “Cielo, let’s be friends.”
Watching the heroine’s reaction closely, she was barely able to speak another word before she was shut down completely.
“I have never wanted any kind of relations with you, and I never will.”

26.) Do you like poetry? Why or why not?
Answer:
I like poetry, since it’s cool and interesting. But honestly I don’t know that much about it nor am I that good at writing it. I just kinda like reading it, but I’m also really bad at trying to analysis or interpret all of its deeper meaning.
27.) Why do you think Cielo would react that way?
