Vain - Chapter 47 Dormitory
The life of a noble was quite easy, they had hoards of servants meeting their every demand. They didn’t have to touch, build, or contribute to a single thing themselves to earn a heritage and legacy.
That was why all these children were so naive, they were just spoilt brats. Even if she couldn’t go the easy route and manipulate them to her benefit. Aileene had other methods, she wasn’t useless. She was supposed to be the perfect creation, the cure to the Vain. But look at her now, the system was vanquished by her and she was but a broken person—machine.
Who knew true emotions were so toxic, she should have just been made without a system to process feelings. Sure, it would be more realistic, but then the world system wouldn’t have failed at supervising and controlling her.
Even as a fake human being she couldn’t be spared from the despair of loss. Aileene smiled bitterly, but she had already been so whinnied. Now wasn’t the time to complain and regret. Now was the time for action.
Sitting on her dorm bed silently, she examined her room. Her things were placed in the room, left for her to set up herself. After a moment of silence, she stood up from her seat and swept her short hair behind her ears. Aileene started opening up boxes, the first one was her clothing. Though on school days, students of the academy must wear their uniform. They have break on the weekends too, so then they would be able to wear whatever they want.
She grabbed a handful of dresses from the box and placed them on her bed. Most were varying shades of blue or white, but there were a rare few in-between that were bright colors. Aileene smiled, she could just tell that those were picked by her Aunt. Since she was adamant on her wearing vibrant colors.
‘A cute little girl shouldn’t wear muted blues all the time.’
Aileene didn’t comment on her Aunt’s opinion, but she liked the color blue anyways. So it didn’t bother her how much she wore it.

Shifting her attention to the white dresser against the wall, she started organizing all her dresses into it. She continued on setting up her whole dorm with much diligence and determination. It didn’t look as if she was clueless or out of place in her actions. Which is contrary to her noble birth.
Aileene was among many other things, very adaptable. And she was happy with this extra cheat from her beloved world system since it hadn’t failed in helping her.
Wiping the sweat off her brow, Aileene finally stood back to see her dormitory. Though it wasn’t decorated to the extreme, it was rather simplistic and she liked it. Her bedsheets were a pale blue and, which matched with the white dormitory furniture well. And her desk’s overhead was stuffed with books she had brought with her, none of which shone with a familiar green hue of a cover.
Aileene briefly changed into a lighter outfit, since it was much warmer in the Academy and left her room, locking it with the keys she was provided with.
