Veiled Love - Chapter 23 Be A Good Wife And Behave

Right in the middle of a great sleep, Soo Jin felt someone was laying on the futon with her. Startled she woke up, there was a light fresh scent entering her nostril. She immediately knew who it was, she decides to move away from him. All of sudden she feels arm around her waist and is pulled closer by the man behind her.

As she has her eyes closed her senses are sharpened.

His low murmurs travel to her ear “Be a good wife and behave. Let’s sleep okay.” In the dark his face comes to her space between her neck and shoulder. His face is inches from the side of her face. She can feel his warm breath. Instantly her heart starts beating faster and faster, she is too scared to open her eyes.

Soo Jin continues to keep her eyes closed and pretends to be sleep. The pretend sleep instantly turns into a real sleep.

“You haven’t seen me in a while, did you miss me?” heard Soo Jin as the person behind was pulling her closer. Opening her eyes, the room was filled with clouded sunlight as the curtains were still drawn.

” You went somewhere? How come I wasn’t aware?” replied Soo Jin as she calmly tried to escape his grip. Struggling to escape his strong grip, Soo Jin heard Yong- Sun say:

“Silly woman, I heard that you have been coming to my court looking for me. Every time you have been sent back.”

Stopping her struggle, she turned to face him. “You weren’t in the palace these past 2 months?” questioned Soo Jin confused.

Stroking the side of her face and slowly tucking a strand of behind her ear, Yong-Sun answered “I have been sent out of the palace for a secret mission. No-one could know about except father and I.”

Soo Jin froze as she remembered all of the lying she has been telling the king. Oh goodness she must seem like the biggest liar ever now. Witnessing her frozen expression turn into panic, before Yong-Sun could react he saw that she stood up quickly as trying to leave the room.

As she was about to leave the futon, she felt a pull on her arm and she fell back into his arms. With unnatural speed, he lay on top of her, suddenly the atmosphere between the two changed instantly.

They both turned silent, he stared at her and his breathing became heavier. Soo Jin wanted to avert her eyes but all she could do was stare right back at him. Soo Jin’s heart palpitated abnormally.

Looking into her black teary doll like eyes, Yong-Sun felt like he was lost in the black hole. His body felt like it was dipped in an active volcano. He had no control over his body or his mind. His face slowly started to descend closer to Soo Jin’s face, she felt her body tighten.

Right when his lips were about to touch hers

“Your highness, it is time you woke up, training starts in about 30 minutes. AHHHHH…!” Yoo Jung let out a horrified scream and immediately jumped back into the day room. As she was making her way out the door, in her shaking voice she said “I promise I didn’t see anything. I really didn’t see anything”

The second the door closed, Soo Jin was released from the enchantment. She immediately turned her face away making her cheek brush past his lips.
