By the time Yu Yingyi and the rest reached the surface, the sun was already starting to set. Yu Yingyi guessed it was almost time for dinner, that was when she recalled what she talked to Song Liya about this morning.

“It seems I have to go now! There’s somewhere I have to be! If I’m late, I’ll die!” Yu Yingyi shouted before she ran off.

The rest of them stared at her back, dazed, as her figure disappeared off into the sunset.

“It seems the princess has somewhere to go and she left without me…” Qing Shan said, a grey cloud forming above her head.

“Well, there’s no need for a bodyguard anymore since there aren’t any more intruders,” Mei Xiang said.

“There could be people wanting to harm the princess, so Qing Shan could be needed,” Nian Zhen said.

“See?! See?!” Qing Shan exclaimed.

Mei Xiang glared at Nian Zhen, “That depends on where the princess is going.”

“Where do you think she’s going?” Qing Shan asked.

Mei Xiang let out a sigh, “Is there even a need to ask? With how panicked she looked, she most likely has plans with Princess Liya.”

When Mei Xiang said that, Qing Shan relaxed. “I see, if she’s with Princess Liya, then everything should be fine.”

“Of course.”

Yu Yingyi didn’t know how but she made it back home right on time. When she opened the door, Song Liya was nowhere in sight. When she was about to enter her room, a voice appeared out of nowhere which freaked her out.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

“AHHH! Liya! You shouldn’t scare me like that.”

“Sorry, sorry, your reaction was too funny.”

Yu Yingyi let out several breaths to calm herself, she nearly had a heart attack. When she finally calmed down, she turned to see what Song Liya was wearing. Unsurprisingly, she was still wearing the same clothes from this morning.

“Aren’t we going to dinner? Why do you still have the same clothes on since morning?” Yu Yingyi asked.

“I told you there’s another set for it. I can’t wear it since…since it’s not suitable to wear in here,” Song Liya replied.

Yu Yingyi was now curious what the entire outfit would look like, Song Liya was already beautiful with her attire on. If there was something else to her outfit, wouldn’t she be too beautiful?

“Hmm? Are you thinking of something dirty, my princess?” Qing Shan teased.

“Of course not!” Yu Yingyi exclaimed.

“Then what were you thinking of?”

“I was thinking how beautiful you would look once you wore the entire outfit!”

Song Liya didn’t say anything but smiled, she had successfully extracted the thoughts Yu Yingyi had. Yu Yingyi who realized what just happened was now flustered. Her cheeks were deep red and she could be mistaken for a tomato right now.

“How cute,” Song Liya muttered before planting a few kisses on Yu Yingyi’s cheeks. “Remember, you belong to me only.”

“Of course, how could I love anyone other than you?”

“You never know, there are already two people who like you and you don’t even realize it.”

Yu Yingyi tilted her head in confusion, her heart started to calm down, “What are you talking about? Who likes me?”

Song Liya chuckled, “Forget it, I want to see you figure it out.”

“Wait, wait. Why don’t you tell me? Aren’t you going to be jealous?”

“What’s there to be jealous about? I already know that you won’t do anything that would bring cracks to our relationship, there’s no need for me to worry.”

Yu Yingyi couldn’t say anything since Song Liya was right. Yu Yingyi mentally laughed at herself for asking a stupid question. Trust was already built between them and nothing would ever break it.

“I can’t believe you’re this mature now.”

“What’re you talking about? I was always mature!”

“Sure, you would always try to send assassins to the people who made you jealous back then. But look at you now, all grown up.”

“I dare you to keep going.”

Yu Yingyi immediately switched the topic, “Since we’re going out on a date, should I wear something fancy?”

Song Liya didn’t reply and looked up and down at Yu Yingyi. Sure she was checking her girlfriend out, but she was also deciding if her girlfriend should wear something fancy.

Yu Yingyi already had a good figure, good enough to make other girls jealous. Song Liya didn’t mind if Yu Yingyi wore something casual, but they were going to a restaurant of the highest class. If Yu Yingyi didn’t wear something fancy, she would get looked down upon inevitably.

“Wear something fancy, we’re going to a special place.” Song Liya said.

“Okay,” Yu Yingyi said before entering her room to change. There was a slight problem, she didn’t have any fancy clothes at all. It was because she couldn’t afford them or she didn’t need them. She was a commoner at heart, she always wore casual clothing.

“Also!” Song Liya shouted from the other side. “Go through my closet since I know you don’t have any fancy clothing!”

Yu Yingyi smiled and muttered, “You know me so well.”

Yu Yingyi skimmed over Song Liya’s clothes, there were tons of them with priceless value. She couldn’t believe how expensive the clothes Song Liya had been. Yu Yingyi could build several flower shops if she sold two of Song Liya’s clothes.

“This is crazy,” Yu Yingyi muttered as something caught her eye. “What’s this?”

Yu Yingyi picked up a light blue dress that was the same color as her eyes. The dress was decorated with white flowers and had a silky surface. Although it hasn’t been worn in a while, it was still in good condition

Yu Yingyi held it out and let it unfold. Dust particles dissipated into the air as the entire dress could be seen clearly. For the first time, Yu Yingyi felt excited to wear a fancy dress. She never liked them since they didn’t suit her, yet this dress did. Was it because of the nostalgic feeling she got from it or was it because of the color? She didn’t know.

Nonetheless, Yu Yingyi started undressing, she had made sure to lock the door so Song Liya wouldn’t be able to peek. After putting it on, it fitted her surprisingly well, it was comfortable too.

With that, Yu Yingyi left the room to see Song Liya’s reaction to this.
