“Ru Shi, is there any other reason you asked to go on a date with me?” Yu Yingyi questioned.

“Perhaps there is another reason.” Zhu Ru Shi said while smiling. “But that’s a story meant to be told for another time.”

“Then was there a point of me asking?”

Zhu Ru Shi giggled, “Technically, there was since now you know there was another reason. Though, it might be that I just wanted to be with someone for the remainder of the day.”

“I see.” Yu Yingyi muttered before looking at Zhu Ru Shi with wide eyes. “Ha?! You want me to be here with you until the day ends? It’s barely afternoon!”

“Is that a problem, Yingyi?” Zhu Ru Shi asked with puppy eyes. “Do you not want to be with me a little longer?”

“Uh…” Yu Yingyi grimaced. “It’s not that I don’t want to be with you, it’s that I have to get back home. Liya is waiting for me, I can’t have her waiting for long.”

“I see, that is your wife after all,” Zhu Ru Shi said with a teasing smirk. “I have a question.”

“What is it?”

“Which one is the husband and the wife in the relationship?”

Yu Yingyi looked at Zhu Ru Shi blankly, “Is that seriously your question?”

Zhu Ru Shi shook her head vigorously, “Yes, I wanted to ask the question for a while now. I’m curious.”

Yu Yingyi chuckled, “A lot of people have asked the same question and have yet to answer since even I don’t know the answer to that.”

“Come on, Yingyi,” Zhu Ru Shi urged. “There’s no need to hold back.”

“Can I say that we’re both the wife or we’re both the husband?”

Zhu Ru Shi shook her head, “Of course not, I need to know who’s the husband and who’s the wife.”

“Why though?”

“Don’t worry about it Yingyi. Everyone has their own secrets, it’s better not to question it.”

“Alright, I’ll answer honestly then,” Yu Yingyi sighed. “In my opinion, I’d say I’m the husband and Liya is the wife.”

“Can you elaborate? Give me a few reasons why you think that way.”

“Mostly because I’m rarely home and Liya is always waiting for me. Though, if I stayed home more frequently, I’d say I’m the wife.”

“I see,” Zhu Ru Shi nodded. “If I ever get the chance to see Princess Liya again, I should ask her the same question.

“You can, but there’s a slight problem,” Yu Yingyi coughed. “I don’t think she wants to see you again.”

“Oh, come on!” Zhu Ru Shi chuckled. “We’re both princesses, how could we not get along with each other.”

Yu Yingyi deadpanned Zhu Ru Shi, “I’d rather not see the two of you together.”

“Why is that?”

“Because there will be no conversation or friendliness. You two will only argue with each other.”

“How would you know? Perhaps we might have an actual conversation,” Zhu Ru Shi protested.

“Nope, it doesn’t matter what you say, I won’t allow the two of you to meet unless it’s necessary,” Yu Yingyi said sternly causing Zhu Ru Shi to pout.

Zhu Ru Shi gave up, “Fine, but you have to promise that I’ll meet her one day, okay?”

Yu Yingyi nodded, “I’ll let you two meet, one day, and that day will be very far into the future.”

“That’s not fair!”

“What do you mean it’s not fair? I promised that you would see her again, it’s just that it’ll be in the future.”

Once again, Zhu Ru Shi couldn’t think of anything else to say that would convince Yu Yingyi to let her meet with Song Liya.

“Well, is there anything else you need, Ru Shi? Yu Yingyi asked as she got up from the soft grass.

“Nothing else,” Zhu Ru Shi replied as she yawned. “I’m getting sleepy though. Is it safe to take a nap here?”

“Of course it isn’t safe to take a nap here, who knows how many people would prey on you considering how attractive you are,” Yu Yingyi said casually.

Zhu Ru Shi felt her heart skip a beat at the compliment, but she quickly recovered when she saw that Yingyi’s expression wasn’t changing.

“I-I see, then I won’t take a nap here,” Zhu Ru Shi said as she got up. “Should we eat lunch then leave? I’m sure you need to get back to Liya.”

“For the first time, you said something reasonable,” Yu Yingyi teased.

“What are you implying?”

“Nothing!”

“Come on, let’s go have lunch,” Yu Yingyi urged to change the subject. “The places with the best food shouldn’t be that crowded right now.”

However, when Yu Yingyi saw the front entrance of the restaurant, she immediately took back her words. Crowded was only an understatement.

Outside of the restaurant, countless people were lined up. in Yu Yingyi’s peripheral vision, she saw them peeking inside the restaurant as if there was something special happening inside.

“What’s going on?” Zhu Ru Shi asked as she squinted her eyes to see better.

“I don’t know,” Yu Yingyi replied. “Today is just a normal day, there isn’t anything unique going on.”

“Well, let’s check it out. Maybe Princess Liya is there!”

“…Sure.”

Yu Yingyi silently prayed that wasn’t the case, but her prayers weren’t answered.

Inside the restaurant, there were 4 people gathered inside. The three looked strangely familiar.

“Are they who I think they are?” Yu Yingyi muttered as she glanced to see Zhu Ru Shi’s excited grin. “Ru Shi…”

“Ha! You better let me meet Liya! You promised!” Zhu Ru Shi exclaimed.

Yu Yingyi let out a tired sigh, she didn’t even know why Liya, Mei Xiang, Qian Shan, and Nian Zhen were gathered at such a place. No wonder why there were so many people looking at them from outside.

“So because of Princess Liya, the restaurant is only reserved for them.”

“What do you expect? My girlfriend is like that, she doesn’t want to be bothered when she’s doing something important,” Yu Yingyi replied. “Moreover, I wonder what they’re talking about.”
