Yu Yingyi followed them to their next place which was a nearby restaurant that sold breakfast, while they were going inside, she was coming up with ways to make their breakfast more like a morning date.

She planned to sneak in there, glance where they sat, and sit somewhere where they wouldn’t notice her. Though it would be hard since her cloak would stand out in the restaurant.

That’s why she had several steps to counter that in her head, since there was a small alley near her, she could walk there and quickly fix her cloak to look like a long jacket. To disguise herself, she could use her hairpins to tie her hair together. After watching Feng Mian do makeovers on her countless times, she was able to somewhat replicate it.

And that was what she decided to do. After she finished, she entered the restaurant praying that no one would recognize her, she made sure to wear clothing that didn’t stand out too.

As she entered, a few eyes glanced her way, but they turned back to what they were doing before. Yingyi sighed in relief, her eyes wandered to the back end of the restaurant where they sat, luckily, they didn’t seem to notice her yet.

“Excuse me, a table for how many?” a waitress asked her.

“One please.”

“Alright, why don’t you sit over here? There’s more space for you and other people since you’re by yourself.”

“Alright, thank you.”

Yu Yingyi quickly thanked the waitress and sat at her seat. Her prayer had been heard, she sat on the opposite side of where Feng Mian and Jia Yi sat. Although she could see them, they couldn’t see her.

Before she focused on them, she was quite hungry. Her eyes scanned through the menu which seemed to only have..fancy and expensive food.

Yu Yingyi started to look around the restaurant to make sure she wasn’t somewhere that nobles went to. Her guess was right, this place wasn’t a place nobles would go to often, but the style of the food made it expensive.

Yu Yingyi sighed, her wallet was going to cry. But she reassured herself it was worth it, this was to get Feng Mian and Jia Yi together. She quickly ordered without hesitating so that she wouldn’t have any regrets later.

Inside Yu Yingyi, she was crying, there was already the special “thing” that she was going to order for the two.

“So, is there anything you want to eat? I’ll pay for it this time,” said Jia Yi, the necklace dangling from her neck.

“Hmm,” Song Feng Mian’s grey arms scanned the menu, “There is something I’d like to eat, it’ll be the first time trying it. Also, you don’t have to pay.”

“No, no, I have to repay you, otherwise, I’m going to live my life in guilty,” said Jia Yi, forcing her eyes to become water.

Song Feng Mian couldn’t stare at Jia Yi any longer, it would make her feel bad if she made Jia Yi cry. With a sigh, “Fine, but this is the only time you’ll pay for my food.’

Jia Yi mentally yelped in happiness, “Yay!~ Thank you!”

To the people around them, they looked like a couple who were arguing about who was going to pay. Because of them, the restaurant was filled with a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

“Okay, here’s your fried rice and your scallion pancakes,” said the waitress as she placed the fried rice on Jia Yi’s side and the other one on Feng Mian’s side.

“I’m surprised, I never knew you were into those pancakes, they’re mostly served as street food,” said Jia Yi taking a bite of her delicious fried rice.

“That’s exactly why I chose it, back at home, I could make any type of food since we had the ingredients. But street food was an exception, we probably had the ingredients, but there were no book recipes on it,” said Song Feng Mian, the crispy edges and soft insides could be felt in her mouth.

Both of their food was delicious, although the menu was only filled with expensive and fancy food, these were one of the few meals that didn’t cost a lot, yet were delicious and worth it.

Yu Yingyi ate her food and glanced at the two from time to time, she realized eating was a bad time to bring the two closer than they already are because they were more focused on their food instead of talking to each other.

She was fine with some of the meals since they weren’t as expensive as the other meals in the restaurant. It was time to order Feng Mian and Jia Yi what about what she ordered earlier.

White flowers couldn’t together were placed on their desk, they were both surprised on who gave the flowers to them.

“We never ordered this,” Song Feng Mian said the waitress, “Are you perhaps giving this to the wrong person?”

“Yes, the person over there-,” Before the waitress could continue, Yu Yingyi had already quickly finished her food and left the restaurant, “Ah, it seems she’s already gone.”

“Who was that person?” asked Jia Yi.

“Oh, right! That was the person who ordered the flowers to your table,” said the waitress, “But it seems she’s already left, there’s no way to thank her.”

Song Feng Mian didn’t bother to go after Yu Yingyi, the flowers that were bought by the person didn’t seem to bring harm to them, so that accepted it.

“Jia Yi, I think I want to keep the flowers,” said Feng Mian.

“Oh? Why is that?” Jia Yi asked.

“The color of your hair seems to be similar to the color of the flowers and I like the color of your hair, it’s soothing to look at.”

Jia Yi turned away with a red face, “Y-you can keep the flowers then, I don’t need them anyway.”

Yu Yingyi, who was hiding outside, smiled hearing it. Because of the flowers, they were becoming closer to each other. All that was left was getting them together, it was going to be a struggle.

“I hope everything goes well between them.”
