Villain Cultivator - Chapter 759: Betrayal
After leaving the Celestial Sword Sect, Miaomiao flew northeast, heading toward Huiji City. He no longer cared about politics, schemes, façade, and consequences as he was in a bad mood.
It took Miaomiao only an hour to travel 1,000 kilometers. He reached Huiji City, where Sun Yun and Zhu Qiao were located. As soon as he arrived, he released his aura and Qi, sending signals to the people that knew him.
A minute later, a hundred cultivators flew out of Huiji City. At first, they came with their weapons, preparing to attack Miaomiao.
But when they noticed that Miaomiao was a strange cultivator, whose cultivation base was at the 12th stage, they hesitated. Nobody dared to fight him.
As everybody surrounded Miaomiao, it created a commotion and attracted the other cultivators’ attention. Some of them recognized him, while some only saw Miaomiao for the first time. The group that had seen Miaomiao in the past flew out to greet him.
An elder official, who used to follow Sun Jian, led the group of scholars. They took the initiative.
“Young Master Mao, welcome to Huiji City. I’m Zhang Hong, the deputy minister of Huiji. Please follow me, so we won’t trouble the local cultivators. Your aura is too intimidating for the people.”
Miaomiao nodded and suppressed his aura.
Noticing that Miaomiao was on a friendly term with their minister, the local cultivators were relieved. The people that hadn’t heard of Miaomiao’s name before ignored him, but players and gossipers couldn’t stay calm. They gawked at the angel.
“M-M-Mao Miaomiao. It’s Mao Miaomiao of the Mao Clan!”
“It’s the hero that drove away the leader of the monster army! I should have known! His aura and cultivation base is unique and stunning!”
The players who weren’t trapped in the game also flexed their knowledge.
“Mao Miaomiao is the main character of the second world’s story. Let’s follow them! There might be a new scenario story quest soon!”
“The forums are on fire lately. Everyone is spamming not to play in world 2 because people are dying. Hell, they deserve it. Who asked them to use pirated game capsules anyway? Look at this. The story is progressing fast, and war is everywhere. Every moment is an opportunity!”
“Let’s go. We need to take the lead in this story questline. We have to be on this NPC’s good side no matter what! Maybe we can find the secret of immortality before world 1 and world 3!”
Players rushed to the palace, and local cultivators that knew Miaomiao flocked together to eavesdrop on the conversation between Zhang Hong and Miaomiao.
.
Miaomiao entered the palace. Zhang Hong guided him to the throne room and seek an audience with Emperor Sun Ce.
In front of the throne room, a giant gate was closed tight, and a team of 20 8th-stage cultivators formed ranks as if they were preparing to fight. The captain of this unit was a long-black-haired, handsome scholar in crimson robes.
Miaomiao glanced at the guy. He still remembered the signature aura of Zhou Gongjin. However, in this life, this protagonist changed his name to Zhou Yu!
Zhou Yu lowered his head and saluted Miaomiao.
“Young Master Mao, well met. I’m Zhou Yu, the captain of the Royal Guard. I’ll take it from here.”
Zhang Hong nodded at Zhou Yu and retreated. The latter raised his head and turned toward the gate.
The gate to the throne room was opened, and the royal guards made way for Miaomiao to pass.
“Come, Young Master Mao,” Zhou Yu gestured to Miaomiao, asking him to go inside.
Miaomiao stared at Zhou Yu, measuring the latter’s strength.
The protagonist was a 9th-stage cultivator, but he suppressed it to the 7th stage. However, Miaomiao could tell that Zhou Yu could easily handle 3-star immortals with ease, judging from the volume of Qi, the dantian quality, and the density of Zhou Yu’s luck.
‘Chase is also the protagonist in this generation, but he’s lacking compared to this guy. What makes them so different? Is it because of the starting point?’
Miaomiao averted his eyes and turned to the throne room. He walked inside, and the door slammed shut behind him.
In the throne room, Sun Ce was still sitting on the throne. On the seats next to Sun Ce, Wu Guotai, Sun Yun, and Sun Ren sat in order of seniority. However, Sun Wukong was not here.
Maids and attendants stood behind Wu Guotai and the two princesses. Among them, a pink-haired woman in official clothes stood next to Wu Guotai, acting as her counselor or adviser.
Zhu Qiao and Sun Yun’s eyes met with Miaomiao’s. Despite their reunion, they neither blinked nor reacted. On the other hand, Wu Guotai’s face flushed, and her breathing became rigid.
Wu Guotai didn’t remember Miaomiao. However, her instinct reacted to the aura of the angel.
Sun Ce noticed that his mother was acting strange. He looked at Zhu Qiao.
“Senior Zhu, could you bring my mother back to rest first? I’ll handle it from here.”
Zhu Qiao shook her head. She brought out a talisman and stuck it on the back of Wu Guotai’s neck. Two breaths later, the mother got better.
Wu Guotai pretended to cough and waved her hand, “I’m fine. I want to see my son-in-law.”
Sun Ce narrowed his eyes and glanced at Sun Yun. He still didn’t acknowledge Miaomiao.
“You must be Mao Miaomiao. Why aren’t you kneeling before the emperor?!”
Miaomiao rolled his eyes. It turned out that the valiant little conqueror in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms was reduced to an arrogant emperor, and he felt bad for Sun Jian.
“You’re not in the position to order me around. I’m here to pick up what belongs to me, and I’ll leave shortly.”
“You what?”
Miaomiao pointed at Wu Guotai, Sun Yun, and Zhu Qiao, “You, you, and you, come with me. Bring your servants if you need them. Let’s get the hell outta here and let this mofo ruin himself.”
“Hah?!”
Sun Ce slammed the armrests and destroyed the golden throne. He stood up and pointed his finger at Miaomiao.
“Mao Miaomiao! I haven’t settled the score with you for the recent war incident! My father ordered the entire Mao Clan to help us, but you never showed up. You defied the edict of the emperor, and you haven’t been trialed for treason yet. How dare you provoke my authority!?”
Miaomiao sighed. His shoulders dropped in as he was mentally exhausted.
“Look, Sun Bofu. You fucked up big time, okay? First, I was the one who razed Chengdu and wiped out the majority of Shu Han’s forces when you were busy fighting with their units. Because of me, they were forced to retreat and leave you alone. If it weren’t because of me, your damn sissy throne would have been shoved up your ass, and your neck would have been hung in front of the city gate. Anyway, I’ll be taking the girls with me so that you can die alone in your war game.”
Sun Ce took a few seconds to analyze what Miaomiao just said. While Sun Ce was preoccupied, Zhu Qiao knocked Wu Guotai unconscious while Sun Yun grabbed Sun Ren. Both of them carried the girls and walked toward Miaomiao.
Zhu Qiao brought out a talisman. She passed it to Miaomiao, “I have a group teleportation talisman. Can you think of the place you want to go and rip it off?”
Miaomiao shrugged and received the talisman. He tore it, and a large magic circle appeared below their feet.
Sun Ce came back to his sense. He drew a sword and rushed toward the group.
Sun Yun and Zhu Qiao raised their hands and pointed their palms against Sun Ce’s sword. A force field appeared and blocked the attack.
Sun Ce roared, activating his domain law. A thousand portals emerged around Miaomiao, Sun Yun, and Zhu Qiao. All barrels aimed toward them.
Miaomiao unsheathed Killer Queen. In a split second, he sheathed it back into the scabbard. A thousand afterimages of sword slashes cleaved through the cannons in half!
WHOOSH
The magic circle shone and created a pillar of light. Sun Yun, Zhu Qiao, Sun Ren, and Wu Guotai vanished along with Miaomiao.
“BASTARD!”
Sun Ce was enraged. He screamed and sliced at the floor where Miaomiao had stood earlier.
Because of the commotion, Zhou Yu opened the gate and entered the room with his unit. He looked around and only found Sun Ce in the room.
“What happened, Bofu?!”
Sun Ce bellowed, “Mao Miaomiao and the Mao Clan have betrayed us! Send out orders! From now on, the Mao Clan is our enemy!”
Zhou Yu narrowed his eyes. He turned toward the chairs, where Sun Ren, Wu Guotai, and others always sat on.
“Where are your mother and your sisters?”
“Mao Miaomiao abduct my mother and sisters. Chancellor Zhu Qiao is in it, too!”
“I see.”
Zhou Yu let out a long sigh as if he had predicted it. He massaged his forehead, relieving himself from a migraine.
“Bofu.”
“What?”
“Call off the mobilization. The Mao Clan must have had enough with your immature call to arms.”
“But we need to avenge our father-”
BAM
Zhou Yu punched Sun Ce in the face. The latter was sent flying and slammed to the other side of the wall.
The strategist walked toward his sworn brother and grabbed the hair of Sun Ce to raise him up.
“Listen here, you little shit. I told you to listen to me, didn’t I?”
“…”
“From now on, you listen to me, okay? If you don’t…”
Zhou Yu seized Sun Ce’s neck and injected a purple aura into the latter’s orifices.
“You know what? I change my mind. Everything should be easier if I take the helms. From now on, be my puppet.”
“Gongjin, wait!”
It was too late for Sun Ce to ask for mercy from his best friend. Zhou Yu used a skill, which erased Sun Ce’s memory.
