- Chapter 754: Political Friends of Langston Industries
David Langston sat in his office, staring blankly at the view outside the window. The once- vibrant skyline now felt like a reminder of everything slipping through his fingers. Langston Industries was crumbling his family’s legacy, the company he had hoped to take to new heights, was facing the worst crisis in its history. The relentless media scrutiny, the loss of investors, and the constant pressure from all sides had left him in a state of despair. He felt completely powerless.
David sighed, his face pale and drawn, as his assistant knocked on the door and poked her head in. “Mr. Langston, your father and grandfather are here to see you,” she said cautiously, sensing the gloom that hung over the room.
David nodded, signaling for her to let them in. Moments later, Richard and Harold entered, their expressions serious. Richard sat down across from David, while Harold remained standing, his eyes narrowing as he observed his grandson.
“David,” Richard began, his voice low but determined, “we’re not giving up yet. This is our family’s legacy, and we won’t let anyone destroy it.”
David looked up, his eyes dull. “I know, Dad. But every time we make a move to stabilize things, something else comes up. It’s like someone’s targeting us, and I just… I don’t know how much more we can take.”
Harold took a deep breath, his voice firm. “That’s why we’re here. We still have some cards left to play. I’ve reached out to a few old friends-people who owe us favors. Some of them are in other countries, running companies that are doing well. They’re willing to invest in Langston Industries, enough to give us the cash flow we need to stabilize the shares.”
David’s eyes widened in surprise. “Wait, really? They’re willing to do that for us?”
Richard nodded, a faint smile on his lips. “Yes. Some of these people may be rivals, but they respect what we’ve built. They don’t want to see Langston Industries fall apart, especially if it means an opportunity for our enemies to gain ground.”
Harold added, “Not just that. I’ve also called in some favors with my political contacts. The Democratic Party has offered their support-they’ll help us deal with the media and put some pressure on our competitors. We’re not out of the woods yet, but with their help, we can at least buy ourselves some time.”
David felt a flicker of hope for the first time in weeks. “This could work,” he said, his voice trembling slightly. “If we can get enough support, maybe we can turn this around.”
Richard smiled, placing a reassuring hand on David’s shoulder. “Exactly. But we need to stay strong, David. We can’t let anyone see us falter.”
Harold nodded in agreement. “This isn’t over, not by a long shot. We’re going to fight back with everything we have.”
David took a deep breath, the weight on his shoulders feeling just a little lighter. “Alright. Let’s do this. Whatever it takes.”
Meanwhile, Wang Jian sat in the penthouse suite, his laptop open in front of him as he read through the latest report from Sarah’s team. His expression darkened as he scanned the information, a frown forming on his lips.
Charlotte, who was lounging on the couch nearby, glanced over at him. “What’s wrong?” she asked, noticing the change in his demeanor.
Wang Jian sighed, leaning back in his chair. “Langston Industries isn’t going down as easily as I thought. David’s father and grandfather have managed to pull in some old favors. They’ve got new investors from outside the country, and they’re getting political support from the Democratic Party. It’s stabilizing their situation.”
Charlotte raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. “Political connections? That’s what’s keeping them afloat? I thought we had them cornered.”
Wang Jian nodded, his eyes narrowing. “So did I. But it seems they have more allies than we realized. It’s getting annoying-every time we make a move to take them down, they find a way to bounce back.”
Sarah, who had just walked into the room, overheard the conversation and frowned. “So what do we do now? If they’re getting political support, it’s going to be harder to cut them off.”
Wang Jian remained silent for a moment, lost in thought. He knew that Langston Industries’ political connections were becoming a real obstacle. If they kept getting support from powerful friends, it would be nearly impossible to destroy them through business tactics alone. He needed a new approach-something more decisive, something that would completely wipe them out without giving them a chance to recover.
“We’ll deal with them later,” Wang Jian finally said, a hint of determination in his voice. “For now, we let them think they’re safe. We’ll regroup, come up with a plan to deal with their political allies, and then we’ll strike. But tonight… I need a break.”
Charlotte looked at him curiously. “A break? What do you mean?”
Wang Jian smiled, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “I think I’m going to spend the night with Bella. I could use a distraction, and there’s no better way to relax than with her.”
Sarah rolled her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips. “Of course. When in doubt, you go for a little fun.”
Wang Jian chuckled, standing up from his chair. “Exactly. I’ll see you both in the morning. Don’t wait up.”
Bella lay on the bed in Wang Jian’s private chamber, her voluptuous figure barely covered by the silk sheets. She looked up as Wang Jian entered the room, her eyes lighting up at the sight of him. “Wang Jian,” she purred, her voice filled with anticipation, “I was wondering when you’d get here.”
Wang Jian smiled, his eyes roaming over her body as he approached the bed. “I’ve had a long day, Bella. I need you to help me forget about it.”
Bella smirked, her eyes glinting with desire. “I think I can manage that,” she said, sitting up and letting the sheets fall away, revealing her curves.
Wang Jian climbed onto the bed, his hands immediately finding their way to Bella’s soft skin. He pushed her back down, his lips capturing hers in a heated kiss as he pressed his body against hers. Bella moaned into the kiss, her fingers tangling in his hair as she arched her back, pressing herself closer to him.
For the rest of the night, Wang Jian took his time with Bella, exploring every inch of her body with a slow, deliberate intensity. He reveled in the way she responded to his touch, the way she moaned his name as he dominated her completely. For those few hours, the stress of his battle with Langston Industries faded away, replaced by the pleasure of having Bella beneath him, completely at his mercy.
Bella, for her part, was more than willing to give him everything he wanted. She loved the way
he took control, the way he made her feel like she was the only thing that mattered to him in that moment. She gave herself over to him completely, letting him use her body to satisfy his desires, her own pleasure building with every touch, every kiss, every thrust.
As the night wore on, their passion only grew more intense. Wang Jian lost himself in the
sensation of Bella’s warm, soft body beneath him, the way she cried out in pleasure as he pushed her to her limits. It was exactly what he needed a way to forget about the challenges The faced, if only for a little while.
By the time the sun began to rise, both of them were exhausted, their bodies slick with sweat as they lay tangled together in the sheets. Wang Jian looked down at Bella, a satisfied smile on his lips as he brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
“Thank you, Bella,” he said softly, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. “You always know how to make me forget about everything else.”
Bella smiled up at him, her eyes half-closed in contentment. “Anything for you, Wang Jian,” she whispered, her voice filled with affection. “I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.”
Wang Jian leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead before pulling her close, his arms wrapping around her as he closed his eyes. For now, he would rest. Tomorrow, he would return to his battle with Langston Industries, but tonight, he was content to simply be here, with Bella in his arms.
