Villain: The Play of Destiny - Chapter 437
“I am so glad that you are okay!” Wang Sisi hugged Feifei as soon as she approached them, and any normal person would have easily fallen for her acting, which was simply impeccable. “Hi, Rouxi!” She quickly greeted her before looking back the at daughter of the Wei Family.
“Thank you. It was nice to meet you, Sisi.” Feifei politely replied and then smiled at Keith. “Let’s go.” She said, grabbing Rouxi’s hand, already taking steps towards the Archery Range.
Rouxi nodded towards Wang Sisi in a polite greeting but allowed Feifei to drag her away.
“Master Demiliore, welcome to China and Hangzhou. I am Wang Sisi, Wang Zemin’s younger sister and Rouxi and Feifei’s classmate since the sixth grade.” Wang Sisi did not care that Feifei had deliberately ignored her, and she immediately turned to look at Keith, greeted him, and then she greeted Qingyue. “Mrs. Demiliore.”
“Thank you,” He lightly replied. “It’s nice to meet you, Miss Wang. Have a nice day.” He said and started walking towards the Archery Range.
Qingyue met Wang Sisi’s eyes and then nodded to her with a smile before following her husband.
As she watched the four of them leave, the smile on Wang Sisi’s face strained a little before it disappeared.
“Feifei is rude as ever.” The girl in her group who was right by her side spoke, and then the rest started speaking their mind as well.
“My God! How can he look even better in person?” A girl gushed over Keith when the trance finally wore over. “Are the rumours really true? Is Feifei his girlfriend?” She asked for the tenth time today, and the girls sighed at her words.
Her question was not making them feel well as they too were a little sour in their hearts, but unbeknownst to them, none of them was more dissatisfied than Wang Sisi, who was hiding it very well.
“You guys go ahead and enjoy yourselves. I will see you later.” She told them, and then she started walking towards the Archery Range as well.
When she was far enough, she picked out her phone and made a quick call.
The girls knew that it was in their best interests to follow what Sisi had told them. And though they were friends, they were very clear about Sisi’s vindictive nature and how petty she could be if something upset her.
“So, she’s your classmate?” Qingyue and Keith caught up with Feifei and Rouxi, and the princess of the Wei Family nodded her head.
“Did she try to strike up a conversation with you?” She looked at Keith and asked, and watching him shrug in response, she raised her brow.
“We just excused ourselves.” He told her, and a bright smile bloomed on her face.
“Good! But I am sure she will approach you again.”
“And why is that?” He smugly smiled, and Feifei rolled her eyes at his question.
She knew very well that if she said anything, it would only fuel his narcissism, but she still answered him anyway.
“She envies me and Rouxi because we are prettier than her.” She bluntly replied. “And I am sure that rumours have reached her that you are my boyfriend, which is why she would now try to approach you.”
“To seduce me?”
“Perhaps, and to prove to you that she’s better than me.” She shrugged.
“That’s…”
“Petty?” Feifei finished Qingyue’s words, and seeing her nod, she laughed. “She is petty as they come.”
“Behave. She’s not a bad person.” Rouxi admonished her, and Feifei pouted a little before looking at Keith.
“You know, other than your beauty, there is another thing about you that the girls find irresistible. And no, I am not talking about your money.”
“So, you think I am beautiful?” He grinned, and this time, both Qingyue and Feifei rolled their eyes, and Rouxi suppressed her giggle that threatened to break loose.
“The thing I am talking about is the presence of your Wives and Lovers around you.” She continued with her words, and Qingyue curiously looked at her. “You have a lot of them around you, and you are very public about them. Just like you were with Fiona last night.”
“Most women are inherently more envious than men.” He nodded.
“Yes.” Feifei nodded her head, and both Rouxi and Qingyue understood what she was trying to say. “They see so many beautiful and capable girls around you, and they can’t help but wonder if there is even more to you than what meets the eyes.”
“Is that so?” He teasingly smiled at her, and she glared at him, understanding that he was thinking about those dirty things.
A faint blush crept on her cheeks, but she immediately brushed her oncoming thoughts aside.
“Yes. The presence of your ladies makes you even more perfect in their eyes. If so many of them love you and are willing to share you, then that means that you are one of a kind and someone worth making compromises for. Therefore, having wives and so many lovers around you is never going to stop women from approaching you. Rather it will pull more women towards you, not just the bad ones, but also the prideful and the good ones, as everything about you would rouse their curiosity and intrigue them.”
Qingyue contemplated her words and could not help but agree with them. Though she had never really given it much thought, she could tell that it was the truth.
“However, this wouldn’t have been the case if the women around you were not capable and self-respecting women. This is usually the case with most rich men, who are surrounded by models, actors, and other women who are greedy for money and fame. Men like them, even if they are handsome, only attract the wanton ones. And they disgust the good ones.”
“Interesting perspective.” He smiled. “So, I am perfect in your eyes?”
“Hmph!” She turned her face away and then hesitated a little before saying her next words. “Vanity destroys you, and makes you lose sense of yourself.”
“That it does.” He nodded. “But only if you have imperfections.”
Qingyue and Rouxi could not help their giggle at his narcissistic reply, and Feifei sighed at his playfulness.
However, inwardly, she smiled, sensing that he did not mind her words, and then she glanced at him before she looked at Qingyue, and found the girl lost in her thoughts.
“Hey, Qingyue.”
“Yes?” The grey-eyed girl looked at her with a smile.
“Do you think he’s lustful?” She asked, and Rouxi warned her to behave herself with her eyes.
“No.” Qingyue laughed and shook her head. “I understand what you mean to ask, and no, Keith can not be seduced.”
“Are you sure?” The princess of the Wei Family feigned some doubt, glancing at Keith and then back at Qingyue, clearly attempting to rile him up, and it made his grey-eyed wife giggle.
“Yes, I am sure.”
“Let’s hope so.” She smiled. “Many great men have destroyed themselves over women. And most of them were not even pretty enough.”
They all understood the underlying meaning behind her words, and whom she was warning him again, and this made them all smile.
Keith chuckled at her antics and wholeheartedly enjoyed her attempts to get under his skin.
A few minutes later, having chatted all the way, they finally arrived at the Archery Range.
A few people were practising there, but the place was not crowded, and the girls were very happy about it.
“Let’s see how good you are.” Feifei challengingly looked at Qingyue, who brightly smiled back at her before they walked towards the Check-In booth and the Armoury.
There was almost everything inside of it. All sorts of Bows and Firearms, and since the Firing Range was on the adjacent side of the Archery Range, both shared the same Armoury.
“Which one do you want?” Qingyue asked him as she checked out the Bows.
He had just now received some messages, and he was checking them on his watch.
“The same as yours,” He replied, knowing well what she was going to pick, and continued checking the messages.
A few minutes later, they all exited the Armoury with their Bows and arrows, and some extra quivers that were all stacked with more arrows.
Needless to say, they attracted a lot of attention, especially because Rouxi and Qingyue had chosen the reflex deflex longbows, which were seventy inches long, just as tall as them.
The instructors and guides were rather hesitant when they chose the Carbon Fibre variants, given the high draw weight on them, but they could not really stop them.
Feifei, on the other hand, had chosen to go with the compound bow, citing that she needed all the advantages that she could get if she wanted to perform as well as them. And her choice was quite the common one.
“Who’s going first?” Feifei asked as soon as they set their equipment at the base that they had booked.
The targets were already set, and could mechanically be changed and replaced with the controls they had available at their base if they needed adjustments.
Since the Range was one of the biggest in the country, they could even make it go all the way up to 390 metres.
Then again, those targets at that distance were only there for fun, not for target practice.
Qingyue and Rouxi both stepped forward and tested the Bows on the dummy target that was set at 30 meters, and Feifei decided to watch them and monitor the speeds on the speed gun.
Qingyue did not need any time to adjust to the bow, and the five arrows that she had shot had all hit the bullseye.
This result truly excited Rouxi, whose result was the same, and now she was happy to have finally found some competition.
“73.7 mps for you, Rou. And Qingyue got 275.5 mps.” Feifei grinned as she told the results of the speed gun to her friend, and then she looked at Keith. “Do you want to try?”
“No, I will watch your match.” He shook his head and smiled when she pouted at him, but then she slyly smiled and picked up her bow.
“Watch this then.” She confidently said as she took her position and targeted the dummy target.
Like Rouxi and Qingyue, she too shot five arrows at the dummy. Three of them were on the bullseye, and the last two were slightly off it.
“Not bad.” He commented, and she grinned as she looked at the speed gun results.
“I got 105.5 mps!” She announced as if she had won the round, and both Qingyue and Rouxi giggled at her antics.
Compound Bows were faster, after all. It would have been a shock if she got anything less than 100 mps with the bow she had in her hands.
“I will go first.” Qingyue stepped forward, and both Feifei and Rouxi had no objection to it.
Needless to say, what they, and everyone else witnessed happen next, shocked them to the core.
Qingyue was not brilliant in Archery.
She was simply outrageous.
