Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 352
They say ignorance is bliss and that is indeed a fact especially for these two who were doing this and that in the snow enjoying themselves. They had no idea that their fleet was under siege and the Rui siblings were being held, hostage.
Over an hour ago, Emperor Rui with the help of Qilin Kai managed to effortlessly board Red Bane without being noticed. Despite concealing their presence earlier when Ji Yao was still on board the kid seemed to have a keen sense. At that time they had decided to retreat and make their move when he wasn’t around so when Ji Yao suddenly disappeared they took the opportunity.
First things first they had to subdue Huishe Yue and grab hold of either of the two siblings. With a plan like this, they could easily control the entire fleet. These though wouldn’t be the only hostages they had. Already in their back pocket were two ships hence two captains who were part of the concord.
From all angles, this looked like a flawless plan that could never fail. It seemed emperor Rui was so confident in their plan based on the way he was sitting on Ji Yao’s chaise towering over the two brats as his men tore the place apart looking for the keystones.
Rui Li and Rui Yewan were forced to face the floor by their father’s sinister energy with their wrists bound in latrion chains. With an evil grin plastered on his face, Emperor Rui twirled a dagger in between his fingers looking down at them with a subversive gaze.
The loud crashing and clattering sounds of the place being torn apart filled the room making the pair of siblings shiver as they knelt on the cold floor. Emperor Rui had been observing the pair ever since he subdued them. They were indeed terrified of him but not once did they quiver. In fact, they tried to conceal their true feelings and act tough.
But from the moment they entered this cabin, it seemed as though they were shivering in fright. What on earth could be much scarier to these two other than himself? He tried to ignore it as he spun the dagger in between his fingers but the more his men trashed the place the more terrified they were.
Emperor Rui lifted his hand gesturing for them to stop searching. Two seconds later the sound of things being thrown around died down and the half Nocru men stood there ready to watch a good show. The dagger in his hand abruptly stopped spinning and he threw the dagger in Rui Yewan’s direction.
The blade spun in the air surrounded by purple seraphic energy and directly landed next to Rui Yewan’s head barely missing his ear by half a centimetre. The dagger sliced through the floorboards and the cracks spread in all directions.
Rui Yewan stared at the dagger in his peripheral view breathing heavily as cold sweat dripped from his forehead. Having got their attention emperor Rui placed his foot on Rui Li’s back using her as a footrest and he said,
“What?….. Afraid of me now? Tsk, tsk, tsk… do you still think he would come and rescue you?” Leaning his back on the chaise he raised his other leg and crossed it over the other resting on Rui Li’s back before saying, “He never cared about you two and now that he has perverted thoughts for that brat do you think he would care what happens to you?”
Rui Li who was being used as a footrest clenched her teeth while twisting her wrists trying to get out of the chains tied behind her back. Filled with a mix of rage and fear she tried to free herself. He can kill her but she couldn’t stand being humiliated by him.
Her mother was already humiliated enough by this filthy beast but she wouldn’t stand for that. Him placing his feet at her back was as humiliating to her as when he scared her so much in the dungeon that she peed in her pants.
Rui Yewan noticed his sister’s anomaly and tried to soothe her but she wasn’t paying attention. Emperor Rui seemed to perceive her change in mood and somehow found it amusing. He took his feet off her back as he got up before crouching in front of her.
He gripped her chin painfully and forced her to look up before saying, “You don’t seem as terrified of me as when I last saw you?….. Why is that? Did daddy’s little girl grow up this fast?” As he said this he brushed his thumb on the side of her face tucking the stray strands of her hair behind her ear.
Seeing this Rui Yewan’s pupils shrunk as his expression turned darkly. He struggled trying to get out of his restraints and protect his sister but it was futile.
Emperor Rui noticed his movements at the corner of his eye and snorted coldly before striking his chest with a white beam that sent him flying to the corner of the cabin.
“Not now Wan Wan, daddy is talking to Li-er…. that is what you call him, right?” he asked as he turned back to Rui Li with a wicked smile. As to how he knew this nickname, it was all thanks to Qilin Kai who had heard these siblings’ intimate address before.
Rui Li didn’t answer gazing at him angrily but in emperor Rui’s eyes, she was like an angry chihuahua vicious but powerless.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to answer… That’s not why I am here though. How about you tell me why you are more afraid of being in this room than me,” he said squeezing her face harder till Rui Li couldn’t help but grimace in pain. When she tried to move her face away the grip became tighter making her whimper as her eyes stung.
“I will let you go if you tell me…. Is that brat hiding something special in here? Possibly a trap or something?” he inquired genuinely interested. This was the only thing that made sense to him. Other than some sort of trap or beast why would they be afraid to be in this cabin?
What he didn’t realise was that this pair was more afraid of what Ji Yao would do when he finds his cabin a mess. Two things could get you beaten up by the Pirate king that is touching him or his things and their father had not only touched but tossed everything trashing the place.
That was Ji Yao’s bottom line and the pair couldn’t help but flinch each time these half Nocru threw something on the floor or broke something. Rui Li didn’t even make an effort to hide it.
Through her distorted lips, she said, “You touched Yao-ge’s things and he do-,” but before she could finish her sentence a large creature shaped like a serpent was tossed into the sea causing a huge splash.
Soon blue flames followed almost melting the crystal windows of the cabin. Emperor Rui’s brows creased as he harshly pushed Rui Li to the side and got up.. He strode over to the door in large steps and climbed the stairs to the quarter deck.
