Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 361
Qilin Hao, ferociously palm struck Ji Wen in the chest before carrying on with her assault on Rui Fei. Huishe Yue who had been blown into the sea rose from the waters again only to be met with the scene of her nephew’s neck being engulfed in flames.
Rui Fei didn’t even get the chance to protest as the flames spread into his aetherial veins. This could only mean one thing. In a matter of seconds, Rui Fei would be paying Meng Po an early visit. But as the flames seeped into his veins it got pushed back and the backlash was no joke.
Qilin Hao who had been ruthless in her attack just now was sent flying a few feet with the extensive force damaging her already weak aetherial veins. Clutching her chest with blood seeping at the corner of her lip she steadied herself and glared at Rui Fei who was also glowering back at her.
Questions like what the fuck just happened were bombarding her mind but she didn’t even get to dawdle on this point as the culprit fled. Ji Wen rushed over to help her up and the battle that was happening just now stopped abruptly as Qilin Hao wasn’t the only one swept away by the violent impact.
Qilin Kai, who had witnessed the entire scene wiped the blood off his face and said, “Haha cousin, do you believe me now? Your son seraphic energy is all over that kid which means other than physical harm you can’t mess with his aetherial system and core.”
He then kicked Qilin Luse in the chest sending him flying a great distance before flying a few feet forward towards Qilin Hao. With a mocking smile, he whispered, “I am curious if they have coupled already because if they did then… there is no breaking that bond even in death.”
Qilin Hao’s lips twitched with a dark expression. Enraged she pushed Ji Wen away and engaged her core to the entirety of its strength and with the swing of her whip sword she mercilessly struck Qilin Kai across the chest.
The whip rang out with an unfathomable blaze the force parting the clouds before hitting its target. Qilin Kai who hadn’t been expecting this attack especially from a weak person like her froze. His head trembling he looked down and saw that deep gruesome wound.
How was this possible? Wasn’t she weak? If she was this powerful then why didn’t she directly finish off that Huishe Yue instead of toying with him? With his shaky hand, he touched the wound and when he raised his fingers they were completely covered in blood.
Qilin Hao maintained a strong posture as she gazed at him with bloodthirsty eyes but in truth, she was in so much pain that she felt like she was dying. If it weren’t for Ji Wen supporting her body she would have fallen out of the skies already and drowned to death.
While the tension in the air dispersed, Rui Fei’s panicked voice suddenly permeated the air. When he managed to free himself from her clutches he flew over to Ji Yao’s side only for him to vanish from his sight in an instant.
Distraught he tried to focus on Ji Yao’s seraphic energy and find him but he couldn’t sense anything. After trying to no avail several times he was so terrified that he broke down. Thus he came over to find his uncle and tell him what happened so he could help him find him.
He couldn’t give two shits of his image right now as he rushed over-explaining incoherently. “He, he, he is gone and he left me again. What do I do? I can’t….. I can’t find him. Uncle….. help me,” he stammered through with his eyes glistening with tears.
This wasn’t the first time Ji Yao had disappeared on him but this time it was more agonizing than before because he had no idea where to find him. So he could only rush to his uncle looking so pitiful you wouldn’t think it was the same person.
Seeing his son’s weak appearance Emperor Rui sneered coldly before grabbing Qilin Kai who had been wounded badly and vanished on the spot. No one pursued them nor did they care for them as their minds were focused on one thing that is to find Ji Yao.
For once Qilin Hao’s anger cooled down and a trace of panic flashed in her eyes. She immediately closed her eyes trying to engage her aether but she was struck by a sudden sharp pain that caused her entire body to collapse into Ji Wen’s arms. She trembled in his arms as she whispered, “I have to find him,” her face as white as a sheet.
“I need to find my cub,” she said again as Ji Wen held her tightly.
Qilin Luse who could tell she was on the verge of breaking down rushed over and handed Ji Wen a pill to ease her discomfort. While Ji Wen fed her the pill, Qilin Luse responded to her, “I will try and find the little prince and bring him back. Your highness, please return home and wait for our return.”
But as expected he was met by a glare so vicious you would think he had asked her to sell her kidney. With the warmth of the pill untangling the knots in her aetherial veins she felt a wave of sudden relief.
She had to get her act together and find her son so she said, “Can you sense his seraphic energy?” her tone sounding nothing like someone at death’s door.
Qilin Luse hurriedly shook his head with a panicked look on his face that’s when Huishe Yue interjected saying, “Even I can’t find him. Something must be-.” But he couldn’t finish his sentence when those ferocious eyes glared at him.
Honestly, if it weren’t that his nephew was in love with Ji Yao and that Ji Yao had freed him from that dungeon he wouldn’t have bothered with her. But for the sake of his sister’s son, he would endure.
While they were sending each other dirty looks Ji Wen’s gaze lingered down to her collar and no he wasn’t being a pervert. It’s just that he noticed that something was missing. So he pulled her lapel a little and looked inside only for his hand to be smacked.
Everyone, “….”
Everyone was probably thinking, ‘Yes, she is your wife but it doesn’t mean you should go on showing the general public her goods.’
Ji Wen who had suddenly been labelled as a pervert exposing his wife’s goods in public blushed as he covered her up saying, “Ah no…. don’t, don’t misunderstand. It’s her pendant it’s gone.”
Qilin Hao who had suddenly noticed opened up her lapel looking down only to have Ji Wen embracing her to block their view. “Cover-up, do you want all of them to see,” he said covering her up.
Qilin Hao, “WTF!”
Who was it just now who opened her lapel.. Men and their double standards.
