Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 362
The realisation snapped Qilin Hao back to reality as she searched her storage ring for the other keystone. “Shit…..,” she muttered realising that she had been robbed.
Well, not really robbed but that her keystones had vanished. This could only mean one thing which was that Ji Yao was on his way to open the barrier.
Yes, this was her lifeline but she didn’t want her son anywhere near that place when she opens the portal. And why would she be against it? That’s because she knew for a fact that her father would be on the other side waiting for her. It now explained why she wasn’t dead yet and the pressure on her aether had eased. That’s because her father had found a new target.
“We have to go right now and stop him otherwise it will be a fucking disaster,” she said her voice shaky like she had just found out the most terrifying news. One must understand that Qilin Hao was never afraid of anything all except one person.
Now that her cub was going right into enemy hands her tough personality melted exposing her vulnerable side. “We have to go now!” she yelled tightening her hold on Ji Wen’s arm making him wince.
She held it the exact same way she held his hand when she was pushing Ji Yao’s big head out of her coin-sized punani. His arm almost broke then which meant it was most certainly going to break now if he didn’t do something.
Seeing that look on Qilin Hao’s face, Rui Fei’s heart sank. His chest tightened as his eyes stung his emotions threatening to spill out. He closed his bloodshot eyes and tightened his jaw as he swallowed down his emotions.
He had to keep calm otherwise if he loses his mind now he won’t be in the right mindset to deal with that woman with a backward way of thinking.
“Let’s go but we need Red Bane if we are going to go after him,” said Ji Wen as he held her up.
Seeing an opening Rui Fei put on a serious expression but the tip of his tongue was pushing up against his cheek indicating his nervousness. “We can take you there as long as you take us with you,” he said in an imperative tone like this wasn’t up for negotiation.
Ji Wen who had just calmed his rage down shifted his piercing gaze in Rui Fei’s direction his anger stirring up again. “Ha….,” he said with an overbearing authoritative look on his face. Pursing his lips to swallow back the harsh words at the tip of his tongue he said,
“Can you now?… Then show us.”
Rui Fei heard his response but he didn’t immediately react with his gaze remaining transfixed on Ji Wen. The two of them locked gazes like predators sizing each other up on the same territory.
The was no ounce of respect in his eyes despite facing an elder. That’s because to him anyone who was in the way of him being with the love of his life was not worthy of his respect. He would face that person with so much hostility you would think a fight would break out any second.
It was him who broke eye contact first with a grin so similar to that of Emperor Rui making Ji Wen clench his teeth in anger. This was about the only thing in Rui Fei’s face that resembled his father. Rui Fei turned around and led the way.
Huishe Yue who still felt a sense of unease stared at the group of people for a second longer before following after his nephew. He didn’t relax nor could he afford to lose his vigilance.
It was a good thing that all of them knew what was important so they didn’t start anything. When they reached Red Bane the entire deck had been cleaned with the dead tossed into the sea and the rest of the captives tied up with a red bow.
Lady Ching Sei was sitting down with her leg on Zhang Li’s knee like she was stepping on him. Zhang Li was kneeling before her. In other words, she looked like a queen bullying her manservant but in truth, it was more like the manservant trying to coax her and his idea of doing that was massaging her foot.
Unfortunately, before he could do that the back of his head was slapped and the slap wasn’t light either. “Shit, who has the balls to hit Lao Tzu….,” he said but he didn’t get to finish that statement when he saw Ji Wen standing there with eyes as blazing as an incinerator.
“Not on my ship,” he said before walking away with Qilin Hao in his arms.
Everyone, “….”
The stunned crowd fell into silence as they watched the man who had been MIA for who knows how long strut onboard without a word.
“Qi-qi-qi…..,” said a dumbstruck Zhang Li when he saw the person their pirate king was carrying. That was when a maroon robe with peculiar patterns stopped in front of him. When he raised his head he almost yelped out.
Qilin Luse had a wolfish grin on his face as said, “Long time no see Captain Zhang. Did you miss me?”
Zhang Li who would rather die than see this demon ever again wanted to directly jump into the sea and swim back to his ship and hide under the blankets. Why would he be afraid of Qilin Luse?
That’s because in his spare time Qilin Luse would screw with him every chance he got. If you want the definition of a bully then Qilin Luse was the real deal. Zhang Li was about to get up and probably jump into the sea when Lady Ching Sei got up and directly shoved him away.
She didn’t care before but now she did. This man had finally got the hang of licking her peach very well so why would she let Zhang Li be wronged. What if that excellent tongue of his gets burnt by Qilin Luse who would clean her peach well later? She wasn’t interested in training another person in the art of pleasing a woman so she came to his rescue like a knight.
“He is mine to bully so fuck off,” she said as a ribbon slithered down her arm ready to strike. Qilin Luse found this very intriguing but he had no energy to deal with the pair. With a snort, he walked away followed by four other Nocru.
Zhang Li who had just heard the words, “He is mine,” almost burst with joy as he got up. With a loud muah, he kissed her cheek before running away avoiding punishment.
Lady Ching Sei wanted to scold him but seeing that fleeing figure she couldn’t get angry at all.. She just touched her cheek and suppressed a smile.
