Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 371
Rui Fei immediately leapt into the sky towards the location the creature was desperate to go. A prickly sensation spread all over his body as the distance between him and Ji Yao shortened. He was both excited and terrified that he might be wrong as the numb feeling spread to his legs softening his knees.
Meanwhile, Ji Yao was standing by the second pillar trying to figure out which keystone gets into it. His mind was spinning as he checked the pattern on the pillar and tried to match them with the patterns on the keystone.
Maybe it was because he was anxious to save Rui Fei that his accuracy level had deteriorated slowing his actions. For the first time, he felt the feeling that every student goes through before a difficult exam.
His palms were clammy, his armpits pricking from the cold sweat and his brain in a haze but he had to get his shit together otherwise he might lose everything.
Qilin San saw his trembling hands and flummox look but what more could he expect. He sneered coldly but still walked over and placed his hand on Ji Yao’s squeezing it lightly.
“You are a Qilin not a fucking Huishe that loses to its emotions like a mindless beast. Remember the life of your loved ones is entirely in your hands,” he said not because he wanted to comfort him but because he wanted things done.
Ji Yao who hadn’t expected this gazed at the hand grasping his and closed his eyes swallowing down his anxiety. This man was most definitely his grandfather as he had no feeling of disgust or disdain from the man’s touch. His grandfather might have had his own motives when he spoke those words but Ji Yao appreciated it nonetheless.
The hand over his own retreated and Ji Yao engaged his aether choosing to use his bloodline to figure this out. Qilin San took a step back and Ji Yao’s seraphic energy burst forth saturating the atmosphere.
Even he had to admit that Ji Yao’s aether had great potential. If only he had his hands on Ji Yao when he was young he would have groomed him into the perfect lap dog. Too bad he had already been corrupted by the world and even fell in love with a Huishe.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk…. what a shame,” he whispered but as soon as his words fell he felt an inexplicable sense of danger. His divine sense was suddenly recalled to his physical body and when he opened his eyes he found Huishe Nan standing there with a menacing expression.
“Shit!” he swore as he got up engaging his core. A stinging pain suddenly struck his back recalling what this vile man did to him. His scar hurt reopening old wounds.
Huishe Nan’s body slithered majestically as he swung his tail smashing the wall beside him. With a sly smirk on his face, he said, “Didn’t see that one coming did you.”
Qilin San gritted his teeth as he glowered at this evil ghost that refused to leave. He had been careless just now as he was so excited about opening the gateway that he forgot to tighten his defences against Huishe Nan. He should have known the crack in the sky would act like a beacon attracting all sorts of nuisance towards him.
Meanwhile, Ji Yao who had been so focused on his seraphic energy didn’t notice that his estranged grandfather had disappeared. His eyes were glowing red completely immersed in his seraphic energy circulating through the keystones as they hovered towards their rightful place among the pillars.
Just as the last stone was about to attach itself to its pillar, Ji Yao was suddenly tackled breaking the connection. A livid Ji Yao opened his eyes trying to push away the heavy mass on his body but the person squeezed tightly as he said in a soft voice, “It’s me…. Yao-ge, it’s me.”
Ji Yao’s hands that were about to push him away stiffened for a second before he frantically embraced Rui Fei with his fingers pressing hard against the back of his head and on his back. At that moment he felt inexplicable joy sweep over him. His cub was alright and back to him in one piece.
The two of them embraced tightly sinking deep into the joyous atmosphere that can only be brought by reunification. This ordeal had taught Ji Yao one thing which is that he would never want to separate from Rui Fei whether it be for a day or hours.
He always has to know where Rui Fei is at all times so as not to experience such pain again. Rui Fei pulled him up and the two sat on the ground with Rui Fei still straddling Ji Yao.
His trembling lips found their way to Ji Yao’s lips and regardless of the environment, Rui Fei kissed him deeply and passionately as though venting out all his frustrations in the past few days they had been separated.
Ji Yao was kissed until he was breathless with a muddled mind but he didn’t care with his hands tightly caressing Rui Fei’s back drawing him closer like he wanted their bodies to merge as one.
Just as Ji Yao sank deep into the pleasurable sensation stemming from their lips being pressed together Rui Fei ruthlessly bit his lip before licking and sucking on them as though appeasing him. But Ji Yao wasn’t appeased as he pulled away with slight annoyance.
“Why do you keep biting? Are you a dog,” he said as he touched his bitten lip that was tingling at this point but Rui Fei just took him into his arms and embraced him harder.
“You lied to me…. you left me on my birthday even. Yao-ge, I was so scared,” he said with his lips brushing against Ji Yao’s neck. Ji Yao felt itchy as a tickling feeling spread all over his body. His annoyance melted away as he ran his fingers in Rui Fei’s hair whispering,
“It wasn’t intentional…. Can Fei-er forgive me?”
Rui Fei didn’t immediately respond like he was seriously considering it. Ji Yao licked his lower lip and a subtle smile appeared on his face. He didn’t know what the cub was thinking but whatever he wanted Ji Yao was willing to give as long it appeased him.
Rui Fei tightened his embrace and whispered right into his ear as though afraid others would hear it. “Call me husband and I will forgive you,” he shamelessly said with confidence.
Ji Yao, “…”
“You must be shitting me, right? You know where we are and you still want me to call you husband,” he said but the smile on his face was sending a different message.
He was about to push Rui Fei off when a familiar voice echoed in the air causing the two to stiffen in place. “How romantic, then shouldn’t you two bow to the parent so you can get my blessing,” said Emperor Rui followed by Qilin Kai who was still standing despite having been beaten by Qilin Hao.. If it weren’t for his pale complexion one would have thought everything was fine.
