Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 375
Wiping his tears he whispered, “Save him and… I will go with you.” As soon as he said this he bow his head and planted a lingering kiss at the corner of Ji Yao’s cold lips. ‘I will come to find you… I promise,’ he vowed before he gently placed Ji Yao’s head on the ground. After that, he got up and stood to the side with Huishe Nan’s piercing gaze following his every move.
He didn’t know exactly how to feel right now. When he saw his grandson kiss that Qilin so affectionately he clenched his fist even more tightly with his nails cutting through his palm. He didn’t know if this had been Qilin San’s plan all along.
Their grandchildren who were both males were involved in a relationship. Qilin San might be okay with this because he never loved his daughter but Huishe Nan wasn’t inclined on letting this relationship continue. He had to do as promised and make sure this Qilin cub survives as he was even more determined to bring his grandson home even more.
Half kneeling he took out a grey pill and chanted a few words before placing the pill inside Ji Yao’s mouth. As soon as the pill melted in his mouth the wound on Ji Yao’s stomach began to close as his body was encircled in bright light.
Huishe Nan stood up and turned to Rui Fei standing behind him saying, “It’s done… now keep your end of the deal,” staring straight ahead.
A cool breeze swept past the two who should have had a great relationship but were now bound to be at odds. Rui Fei kept staring at Ji Yao clenching his fist tightly his reluctance clearly written on his face. His jaw tightened as he suppressed the violent feelings threatening to burst forth.
Huishe Nan took a step forward and stopped in front of his son saying, “Make him come with us otherwise I won’t hesitate to finish off that Qilin spawn.” After he said this he walked away.
Huishe Yue gazed at one of his father’s vanguard and nodded at him before closing his eyes to hide his true feelings. Knowing his father fully well he should have discouraged this relationship from the very beginning. At least then it would spare his nephew from the heartache.
He didn’t dare look back as his nephew was knocked out by the vanguard. Huishe Yue only opened his eyes when they were passing him carrying the passed out Rui Fei followed by Emperor Rui who had also been restrained.
When he opened his eyes he saw his father directly smash three of the pillars disrupting the connection of the two worlds. It was as though he was trying to make sure this site wouldn’t be used to open a portal between the worlds ever again.
The anxiety and worry in Huishe Yue’s eyes were apparent as he watched his father vanish within the white light. His father’s stance had been made clear. He intended to restrain Rui Fei in Niuq.
Huishe Yue’s gaze glanced over the pillars that were collapsing and a thought crossed his mind.
He wanted to take these keystones and keep them with him until his father’s anger simmered down. Maybe he and Rui Fei could return then. His mind made up he turned his heel towards the keystones before they scatter.
That’s when he heard two familiar voices calling out Ji Yao’s name and behind them was Qilin Hao and Ji Wen. His heart sank to the pit of his stomach as he met Qilin Hao’s gaze. No doubt he would be blamed for this as he was the only person around who had the motive.
Exhaling he shot out his seraphic energy and grabbed the Rui siblings before vanishing with them in the dying white beam. Qilin Hao’s foot stepped forward as she swung her whip sword but the tip of the blade only met air.
Having absorbed the energy from Niuq seeping through the portal she was able to recover her cracked aether so that swing was powerful enough to cripple someone. Unfortunately, when it met air the explosive energy needed somewhere to go.
As the explosive force rippled in the air it further cracked the pillars making a bad situation worse. Ji Wen who was holding his son in his arms yelled at the frozen Qilin Hao, “We have to go before this place collapses.”
Qilin Hao was immediately drawn back to reality as she led the way towards the dying bright beam of light. She vowed to lay waste of the entire Huishe clan for what they did to her son and she would most definitely start with that hypocrite Huishe Yue.
There wasn’t even enough time for them to grab those keystones as the entire concord rushed into the light. As the last person passed through the rift the entire thing collapsed and the curtain between worlds was closed once more but this time things weren’t as simple as five decades ago.
The one person who wanted to be on earth more than anyone else had brought in his entire clan with him to rule over the weak mortals. This also meant Qilin Hao and the rest if the party never crossed over to Niuq.
Instead, they found themselves in the middle of the new Qilin clan city that Qilin San had created when he estimated that the portal would open in this exact location.
Because his clan was now a target for the other clans he had to relocate his entire clan and position it in a place that would be swallowed up into the other world once the portal was opened.
It was actually a good thing for the Huishe clan that they left that city when they did otherwise they would be stuck on earth with the Qilin clan.
The realisation of what her father did made Qilin Hao so upset that she drew her sword to vent out her frustrations. She wanted to fight her father here and now for everything that he screwed up in her life but Qilin San had no such intentions.
He just looked down at her atop a high platform with a malicious smile on his face. He had finally achieved his dream. With a light chuckle, he shifted his gaze to the vast sea in this new strange world that he dreamt of ruling.
Now he wouldn’t have to live under the constant threat of the other clans and be treated like a god as he should. Huishe Nan on the other hand wasn’t fairing well. He had finally learnt the truth of what happened to his daughter that he collapsed to the ground weeping.
If he had known he wouldn’t have let Qilin San walk away alive.. His precious daughter’s life was cut short and it was all the Qilin clan’s fault.
