Voyage With The Pirate King - Chapter 385
He wanted to say that Ji Yao might even come willingly that is if he doesn’t kidnap Rui Fei first. Even then it wouldn’t be classified as a kidnapping because Rui Fei would follow after him like an obedient pup.

Under an isolated huge tree with dazzling pink flowers like those in the Huishe clan’s sacred garden sat a beautiful woman staring down at a pond with a thoughtful expression. She wasn’t watching the peculiar creatures in the pond but the images flashing by.
Everything that happened to Rui Fei she had seen it but she could only helplessly watch on. She wished she could rip through the rift keeping them apart and embrace her cub but that in itself was impossible.
The one time she tried to intervene she was punished severely. She had the scars on her arm to prove it. She knew she couldn’t do anything to change her son’s situation and watching him was like torture but she still couldn’t resist.
Because she was too concentrated watching the pond she didn’t realise when someone walked behind her. All she heard was a familiar voice saying, “You are now a celestial being and need to let go of your previous life otherwise it will only make your stay here painful.”
Huishe Xieyue swung her hand and the image in the pond vanished. She then got up and bowed respectfully before saying, “Like I have said before I never wanted to be here.”
The woman draped in white with her long hair rubbing against her waist took a step forward reducing the distance between them. “You didn’t want to ascend and become a celestial being but… the heavens chose you. It is by heaven’s will.” Huishe Xieyue who had had this conversation countless times before just wanted to grab this woman’s hair and bang her head against the tree trunk.
Whenever they talked about this ascension bullshit she would get upset. Most of the celestial beings here were there because they had achieved spiritual enlightenment and were hoping to ascend. She on the other hand just found herself here after giving birth to her cub. She didn’t even have the opportunity to hug her baby.
Now she wasn’t even allowed to help her son who had grown up motherless. Huishe Xieyue angrily averted her gaze and was about to excuse herself when a yellow butterfly landed on her shoulder. Soon the yellow butterfly dispersed a misty yellow aura as a message was transmitted in her mind.
“Sister Xieyue, the Lord requests your presence in the eternal garden,” said the soft voice before the butterfly flew away.
The woman standing next to Huishe Xieyue seemed to recognize the butterfly and her brow raised in interest. She was about to curiously ask but Huishe Xieyue spoke first in a very unpleasant tone, “I am sorry senior sister but I have to go.”
She fixedly watched Huishe Xieyue’s disappearing figure her thoughts chaotic. She also wondered why someone who obviously never wanted to ascend would actually be chosen. This was an opportunity most yearned for, the opportunity to become an immortal yet Huishe Xieyue didn’t appreciate it and wouldn’t let go of familial ties.
Those mortals were all going to die anyway so why would one think of their family? It was setting oneself to despair and grief. Well, Huishe Xieyue was about to find out why exactly she was here and she didn’t take it well.
When she entered the out of bounds eternal garden she found the so-called Lord of this place seated in the lotus position with his eyes closed as white streams of light circulated around his body. Huishe Xieyue didn’t disturb him. She bowed down with her forehead touching the ground waiting for him to speak.
A minute later she heard him say, “Rise.” It was just one word but it made her body involuntarily tremble. She got up as instructed but didn’t speak.
He rose from his sitting posture and floated towards her stopping a few feet from her. Being stared at with those crimson eyes Huishe Xieyue couldn’t help but lower her head as she subconsciously took a step back.
The Lord of the celestial realm wasn’t offended in the slightest. He walked past her before saying, “Remember when I said your true purpose of being here would soon be revealed?…. It’s about time you get enlightened.”
As he said this he waved his hand and the scene changed as though they had left the eternal garden. All around her were worlds connected to another with a thin thread forming a chaotic mess.
Each realm was connected to another with one thread and there were no multiple connections on a single planet but they all had one thing in common. They each had a second thread connected to a central place which was the celestial realm.
It looked like an easy to understand science demonstration that even Huishe Xieyue didn’t need an explanation. The Lord of the celestial realm slowly strode towards her and said, “As I have mentioned before… we solely exist to protect the natural balance between worlds throughout time. When a world is threatened I deploy celestials to correct the error.”
“And you Xieyue… you were an error threatening to destabilise the balance between earth and Niuq.” As soon as his words fell Huishe Xieyue almost laughed out loud. How could she be that powerful?
Seeing her reaction the Lord of the Celestial realm remained calm. He knew that seeing was believing so he swept his hand and an image played before her very eyes.
If Huishe Xieyue had been allowed to remain on earth Emperor Rui’s plan would have been actualized. This meant that she would give birth to more cubs similar to Rui Fei. For one to understand the severity of this they would just have to look at Rui Fei himself.
He was young inexperienced and had been suppressed all his life with that poison circulating in his system but if he had been allowed to flourish he would have been more powerful than his grandfather all because of the combination between the Huishe and the primitive clan. That mix in itself was a recipe for disaster.
When Rui Fei reaches his maximum potential he would become unrivalled. Now imagine several versions of Rui Fei each with a questionable moral compass roaming the earth.. The balance would have shifted in a negative direction and the ending tragic thus the Lord’s intervention.
